Commenting again. That was just superb. Quality of material, top notch, quality of presenting, top notch. Quality of presenters knowledge, top notch. This will surely become THE authoratative video on how to rebuild one of these gearboxes.
Brilliant video Dean. Between you and Dale you have the old British and Japanese two strokers sewn up. I agree with you about the BSA workshop manuals. My factory A65L manual shows all the parts etc. but lacks a little in the fine details of disassembly and (more importantly) assembly. Cheers, Peter.
I identify the neutral detent earlier in the same frame. I'm a fan of Loctite products in general, as I use them professionally but in this case it would be redundant as the bolts are secured adequately by tab washers. Best wishes, Dean.
World class instruction !! top presentation . 😀😀😀

Great job brother. We need more videos like this on a lot of different bikes.

Like Carl said, this is the best video description of a 4 speed gearbox rebuild. Great job mate.........
@@OzBSABantams thanks mate. I thought there was a bit of a gap that needed filling on the 4 speeders.

@ 13:30 "3rd Gear Detente"??? Surely that's the neutral detente? Wouldn't it be worth using some Loctite on the camplate mounting bolts?
