    Kudos for posting this. I haven't seen someone discussing each step of the asanas like you.
    Lot of yoga tutors skip the Critical positions in asanas like holding the palm, arm, while raising the neck and chin either because of lack of time or knowledge and result is that improper posture does hurt your neck. Personally it happened to me.. now I have corrected the same, thanks to your videos

    Very well explained thanks,, can you also highlight difference between Urdhva Muktha Siva Asa a and Bhujangasana! It’s so closely related but there r differences that I am unable to get.. also explain angle of hands for bhujangasana where to actually bend..

      1 - In Bhujangasana the area below the navel button remains on the ground.
      2 - In Urdhva Muka Svanasana the Palms and the front of the foot are on the floor. The other parts are not touching the floor.

    Dear Sir a yoga Instructor myself, i find your approach to this pose is rhe same as how i would conduct. Many teachers aspect the practitioners to lift up further with rhe pressing of the palms.

      In the classical way of doing Bhujangasana, we use back muscles to come up and not the hand.

    Sir ,but when lift vertebra by vertebra shoulder blade protract …That's the right way.

      Shoulder blade should not be contract ,upper chest should be move forward and upward at the same time.

    Very good video! Excellent explanations, on the contrary of other videos that just show how to do (and wrongly).
    The other videos I watched none said not to use the hands and arms
    Just the sound of the video is echoing a little bit, maybe a mic would make it better to listen the explanations

    Hi dean ,thank you for this demonstration,I have a question,when pressing hip into the ground ,do I have to squeeze my butt ,because after doing that ,my lower back pains alot,and when i just squeezed my thighs ,and do exactly what you said ,no pain happened ,and I felt great,so no squeezing butt right

      In Cobra pose, we use the back muscles to lift up. The thighs will get little tight, not the glutes. Tightening the glutes will increase the pressure at the lower back.

      This asana can be of some help also. Just make sure you improve in this asana little by little.
      Also, lateral stretch asanas can be good.
