Sir,
Greetings!
I am greatly inspired by your precise and crystal clear guidance on various yoga poses. I am 46 yrs old and practicing yoga since last 18-20 yrs. Lately, I have some minor issues of bulging disc with lower back pain which is well under control. I am a keen sportsman playing Badminton, Lawn-Tennis and Cricket.
I shall be very much grateful if you could help clear some of my below doubts -
1) I love Sarvangasana + Matsyasana combination. Should I continue it without aggravating my lower back issue.
2) Presently my sequence is : Warmup - cat cow pose - adho mukha svanasana- bhujangasana- setubandhasana- kativakrasana- ujjayi pranayam-meditation. Is it ok and can I introduce Sarvangasana + Matsyasana in it, if yes where to fit it?
3) What combination and sequence would you suggest for allround strength, stamina and intellectual sharpness alongwith safeguarding my lower back?
Regards

SIR YOU ARE TELLING BRIDGE POSE IS VERY NICE BUT I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAR MY DOUBT WHEN WE DOING THIS POSE SOME YOGA TEACHERS SAID BOTH TWO HANDS SUPPORT ON BACK SIDE LIKE PILLARS IS IT CORRECTOR NOT.
Namaste Surya Narayana ji.
Usually when we use hands as a support to hold the posture, it helps to increase the range.
But traditionally, hands are not used.
It also helps in developing the strength.
Both the ways are right.
It will entirely depend on what is the purpose.
Thank you for watching our videos.
Take care and God Bless.
Very useful tips for contraindications
Thank you Maxime Chan.
Can i use setubandh asan as complementary to sarvangaasan.
Nice sir
Hi Sir , I have cervical spondylosis in lower cervical spine. Can I do this Pose. Also I have watched your cobra Pose. Can I Practice these both.
I would like to ask you that I have Sleeping problem, high blood pressure , heart palpitation and have shallow breathing. Can you pls let me know which asanas I can do to over come these problem.
Thank you
Namaste Parasakthi Sriram ji.
Yes, you can practice this asana. What is more important is to interlock the fingers and stretch the upper back muscles, so that the compression in the neck can reduce. If you find that it is still bringing discomfort, then try to put a blanket under the area from shoulder to the middle back, which can help reduce the compression in the neck.
Yes, Bhujangasana is a good asana. In this, just keep your head neutral. Don't lit the chin go too much away from the chest. It is like doing a chin tuck.
Also take care of your posture.
See the video of Tadasana, so that you know how important the posture is and when we align ourselves, it helps to reduce the discomfort.
Practice these and i believe that you should feel better.
Also, if you can see our basic breathing video. It is seen that when the breathing becomes better, it can affect problems related to sleep, hypertension and so on.
So do watch the basic breathing video.
Take care of yourself.
Hello sir..I have disc bulge problem with l4 l5 s1 and severe canal stenosis.. Can i do this bridge pose.. Also I have a doubt that cobra pose does not suits for disc bulge problem. Is this correct r not? Or can i do both poses
Plz Tell me the yoga poses which relief my pain.
Namaste Bhargavi Madhu ji.
Bhujangasana and Setubandha both can be helpful or not, depending on where the bulge is.
Is the disk bulge into Anterior side or Posterior side?
@@sandeepsolanki7868 Thankyou for ur reply sir...
Having disc bulge central disc protrusion into posterior side. Also having sciatic pain down to one leg n buttocks. Suggest me any yoga poses.
Thanku in advance
THANK YOU SIR FOR THIS VIDEO. I HAVE A QUESTION . SIR, YOU SAID THAT "ROLL THE SHOULDER". WHAT IS THAT? CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL ABOUT THIS ?
Namaste Pramath Pathak ji.
Two things to keep in mind when i am saying role your shoulders back in this video..
1 - shoulders going down to the floor.
2 - shoulders stretching down towards the heels.
The reason of doing that is, it brings less strain on the neck, more muscles are engaged and holding becomes easier...
Thank you so much for your reply, sandeep ji
🙏
Dear Sandeepji, how many repetitions of this asana should one do each day?
Namaste Rajan C K ji.
You can practice 2 to 3 times this asana.
Thank you Sandeepji. Is this so for all Asanas? Could you give me a list of Asanas that a beginner can do do daily to strengthen the body and lose weight? I am a middle aged beginner; body is not very flexible, particularly knees. Hoping you can help
Namaste@@rajanc.k5542 ji

Thank you
Very good explanation
Thank you Ahuja Kishori ji
Breathing pattern pls tell as I saw some people inhale athen exhale and lift and then inhale and exhale come down.
Stay in the supine position and bring the body to a completely relaxed state with deep breathing. Fold the legs by bending the knees with inhalation, exhale completely, and remain here for a few breaths. With arms beside you, take a deep breath, raise the body up from the hips, and exhale after the complete stretch.
For how many minutes should I hold a Asana for it's effective results sir
It depends on various factors such as: the type of Yoga style that you are practicing, the purpose of your practice, your health, etc.
In general Hatha Yogic practices, 10-20 seconds hold along with 3-4 repetitions are good enough.
How many times should we do it
How to roll shoulder
Place both your arms beside your body with palms facing downwards. Next, breathe in and slowly lift your lower, middle and upper back off the floor. Make sure that your chin touches your chest as you roll your shoulders inwards. You should allow your shoulders, arms and feet to support your weight.
Can i do it in pregnancy??
Namaste Rashmi Singh ji
It will depend on which month is on and how you are feeling....
Is it is beneficial in varicocele?
Rishi Raj ji.
Yes, it can be helpful for Varicocele. Breathing slowly and deeply can prove to be beneficial.
Digital Description obstructs the video, please take note of it
Can we do it after angioplasty has been done?
Manjula Purohit ji.
This asana can be done after 2 to 3 months of angioplasty, but under professional supervision.
@@sandeepsolanki7868 thank you sir
This should be performed for how many minutes?
Namaste Abdul Mujeeb.
To start with, you can maintain for about 3 breaths. Then with practice you can increase the duration to 10 breaths.
What is more important is that the breathing along with deep should also be comfortable and relaxed.
Thank you for watching the video.
@@sandeepsolanki7868 thank you so much Sir for replying..😊

Sir, Very impressive. Kindly also mention how many times these asanas has to be performed 3 times , and how long to remain and hold in same position to get full benefits. i.e. 30 seconds or 1 minute etc.
if you are beginner just do this pose for 30seconds to 60seconds ,repeat once more if your body allows you to do this asana. Practicener Can do this asana for up to 2 minutes. But there should not be any strain on the neck muscles.
@@SiddhiYogaInter Appreciated, thank you.
Sir pls don't waste time by talking irrelevantly
