      @Lamar Stewart You have no clue of what Hakeem was. All time leader in blocks and an offensive juggernaut. You truly have no clue about the infinite array of moves Prime Hakeem had in the post.
      That is why Lebron and others pay an 80s/90s player to teach them moves in the post.

      @Lamar Stewart Lamar, Rodman did it to Shaq 8-years prior, so it did not surprise me. Wallace was a lesser version of Rodman. Sorry man, after seeing the power forwards and centers of the 80s and 90s, today's frontline is pitiful. For God sake, Jokic is a MVP center. Power forwards from the 90s/2000s like Chris Webber, Kemp, Garnett, and Rasheed Wallace would destroy Jokic. In fact, they would be centers in today's sorry as league. Hell, even Kukoc would be a center in today's sorry ass league.
      With that being said, MJ is tearing apart these undersized and unskilled front lines combined with the soft foul rules.
      If bums like Westbrick (can't even hit the damn rim) and Harden score 30+ in today's game, MJ would have torn it up.
      Lamar you got your opinion, but I am in strong disagreement. I'll still respect it, but I'll post a few videos for you to take a look at.

  • @angeloperaltagaran510
    @angeloperaltagaran510 ปีที่แล้ว +190

    Are we forgetting that prior to 2001-2002, the defensive big could camp in the paint without moving? Luka said in an interview that he just waits for the opposing center to move out of the paint to attack, that is why he is so effective scoring on the inside and according to him find it easier to score in the NBA. Now imagine a more agile, athletic, better footwork with great fundamentals like jordan attacking the lane.

    The Ewing dunk sums it all up.... dude gets double teamed by 2 good defenders in Starks and Oakley, he spins out of it and goes baseline to dunk over a 7' rim protector in Ewing.
    Jordan would be driving and dunking all game in today's NBA, probably average over 40ppg without even shooting 3s. If he added 3s, he's going for 50ppg.

    What he is trying to say is that there used to be a thing called “Ilegal Defense” which prevented a big man from camping down low on drives, forcing them to rush in to help. Today you can station a big man near the rim and play a semi-zone so the defender can be ready to alter the shot at the rim before the drive. This does affect paint scoring, but the 3pt shot is a big problem for defenses and forces those big men to come out and hedge.
    So, if you imagine a league where they aren’t taking those kind of threes and making them, and also where there is no illegal defense- that would make it very difficult to get in the lane.
    P.S. Rob Parker complaining about a “tired act” is the height of comedy.
