  • Decided to swapped out the oem lug nuts from my 06 Durango. They are swollen and there is a aluminum cap that sometimes spins In place over the actual lug nut so decided to change em. I’m using some cheapo Walmart hyper tough impact sockets. I use what I got but plan on getting better sockets soon.

I recently purchased the DCF891 and love it. I also own a Hercules impact driver which is surprisingly strong when used with impact sockets and adapters. As well as their 1/2 High Torque impact wrench. With these 3 tools I have not needed anything that's 3/8, or stubby 1/2

Looks like you need better deep sockets, the tolerances on those are off.

No its those dogshit chrome nuts, they corrode under the chrome cap and swell or get loose after a few years. Bane of my existence those things lol

The compact one is for light duty like engine work. The mid torque one is better for anything else unless its rusted.

      That's pretty accurate

I have one the dam thing quit working and found out it will cost almost as much as a new one to fix it because of the crappy way it is made you can't just replace the trigger switch all of the internals have to be replaced 😢

What are your overall thoughts on the 921?

I have the 921 and it's awesome for its size, one of the best. The 891 is way more powerful, but it's also way bigger, so that should be expected. It won't be able to get into tight spaces like the 921. I had the 12V DCF901 for a while and that was also killer, and it doesn't have any speed control which a lot of people prefer.

I have the 921, gets used a few times a month caging air brake chambers and on car lug nuts mainly. it is great but has randomly not worked a few times, pull the trigger and nothing. Had to remove the battery for a bit and put it back on. Hasn't done it in over a year now however, but have heard it has happened to other people too. It has a ton of power for its size. Great for tight spaces. I also had the 911 which is very similar but I think 50 less ft lbs and no buttons, cheaper and a c-hair longer. Just trigger speed control (which I honestly prefer anyway). It was awsome, I gave it to a buddy and he used the crap out of it.

I do automotive and recently purchased the 891. Loving it so far. It is not huge like a High Torque and I already know a stubby 1/2 would not be strong enough for what I do

Delete video and do a new one, without 50 % wasted on hammering the socket... 🤦🏼🤦🏼
