Oh Stefanie! I adore you and your momma! Thank you for taking the time to share your life and adventures with us. Your Camino Frances film was so awesome I watched it twice! You are a true light in this world and your beautiful spirit is contagious. Thank you for inspiring me at the old age of 54 to pursue my dream of walking the Camino. When I was your age, I became heartbroken and lost, so I hiked the Kalalau Trail and spent 6 months living in a tent on the beaches of Hawaii to heal my soul. I feel like we are kindred sisters! With much love and admiration, Amy

OMG Stefanie, I loved this so much (probably I repeat myself, but its true!! 😊) ...the natural intimacy, that you create with your way of filming, talking, and sharing whats going on inside of you is sooo... heart-warming! I also get much more of a feel with your mom - I wish I could have done a camino with mine, but when I did my 2 caminos, she was already too fragile (she died 2 years ago). R.I.P. mom! ❣
The landscapes were truly enchanting ...I haven't done yet any of the Portuguese ones, but this video certainly inspires me a lot!! Heat, a lot of rain, and rainbows... demanding on the body, but also enchanting for the soul... 🌦☔🌈
I sympathized with your monologue about patience... why do we always have to be in a rush? The camino is like meditation therapy... slow down, relax, accept... all is well... 🙏📿
Now, here's one of my stories, and it relates to yours of today...: I always walked fairly fast on my caminos... I'm also quite tall, have long legs, and so naturally overtook a lot of others on the way... one day (about 90 kms of Camino Frances left to walk, just leaving Portomarin), I left early between 5 and 6, to escape the masses of walkers, that would follow soon, I ran into heavy weather with thunderstorm and lightning all around, with little shelter opportunities, so I rushed even more... it felt like a military force-march, until I eventually reached a cafe, and then exactly the skies opened up... while I was sipping my well-deserved coffee, I noticed that one of my feet had started to swell, and it kept on swelling, so I needed to continue in my sandals... in the next town, where I also stayed, it was so thick that I went to the doctor, and was told, that I'll have to walk very, veery slow from now on, which I did... so from next day, I was suddenly one of the slowest walkers, and I got the message... I felt humbled (in a good way), and also 'healed' of my relentless speed walking... the camino has amazing ways to teach us lessons... 🚶🚶‍♀🚶‍♂
I really liked, when you mused about the meaning of your sudden foot problem, keeping you at the side of your mother... ☺
...and there's Part 3 to come, with a likely tearful arrival on the Plaza del Obradoiro... YEAY!!! 🧡💛💚

The landscape painted by you and your mother's experiences, friendship and love is truly as spectacular as the views of this beautiful Camino itself. You have done a wonderful job of planning the Camino and being tentative your mother's needs. However, it is the Camino itself that is taking such care to gift you both this extraordinary journey and experience. It is so nice to see both the shared and individual experiences the two of you are having. ❤❤

I'm rewatching these Camino Portuguese videos as a way to deal with post Camino blues. I just finished and am looking forward (and planning) my next one. Yes, we need at least one Camino a year, maybe two. Anyway, thanks for sharing your journey. Also, that mountain after Ponte de Lima is NO JOKE!! I talked to a couple of people who sat down in the middle and cried and wanted to stop. Very proud of your momma for keeping on keeping on!

Hahah wow, glad to hear we weren't the only ones who struggled with it! It felt like a big accomplishment 🤗 Thanks so much for watching and stay strong with those Camino blues! Get outside as much as possible while the weather is still nice ✨

👍🚶‍♀🚶‍♀Another great video Stephanie.👍 The villages and landscape look amazing. Is it the time of year or is it always this lush? I love the trails through the wooded area and along creeks 32:11 just gorgeous. 🐑Nice seeing the farm animals and of course the furry friends.😺 👍Mom seems to be doing really well. I'm rooting for her. 👏The private rooms you rented for 60 eruos are a steal. Really nice rooms. You've done 3 caminos do I hear another coming on. I guess it is addictive. Right now I wish this world we all share was more like the camino. Keep trekking and enjoy.😎n ca usa☮Hope you are healed from your injury. Take care.

31:03 - “Every Camino is different”. In this episode, I was also left with the feeling that every Camino is composed by many little Caminos. For example, the departure from the Frida / Mexican host was the end of a Camino, and the beginning of another Camino. The one constant is your beautiful smile and how your face lights up with the beauty of the sightings.

I just finished my first camino Frances, & let me tell you that you were my number one inspiration to have done it. You mentioning the absolute delight of perfect temperature, early morning walk, the first leg to the next teeny town LOOKING for those special plastic chairs outside of a cafe....and the FIRST cup of coffee. I will forever remember that feeling. I bottled it up in my brain & will never forget it. Thank you for sharing the walk you did with your mama, so lucky!

it just keeps getting better ... the landscapes with the vineyards and fairy paths and the rainbows and the waterfalls, the lambs and the baby goats but mostly the loving and supportive relationship between you and your momma ... as this part ended, the little boy enthralled with the musician, it all left me with happy tears .... so magical, it ended too soon, I am so looking forward to the grand finale

The way you video and capture moments is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing another Camino journey with us. I look forward to Part 3. Question: on your Day 8 with the heavy duty incline, can you compare that to any part of the Camino Frances? I’ve did Frances in 2022, so was curious how it might compare - to prepare. 😂❤️Thank you!!

Excuse me, but I don't understand why you're walking practically barefoot? I've seen so many pilgrims, and they were all wearing sneakers or trekking boots. And you and your mom are wearing slippers.

Haha we're wearing Chacos, which are hiking sandals that have very good arch support. Also never had a blister!
