I can affirm that after taking marine collagen I can see lots of regrowth of baby hair around my hairline and it feels much thicker ! I take Holland and Barrett marine collagen with Vit C .
Aww im glad! 🥰 yes i took the collagen for my hair but noticed when i ran out my dry eye came back awful. I looked it up and sure enough during perimenopause and onwards our eyes lose collagen. I definitely need it for my eyes!
I took beef collagen powder for 3 months and didn't notice anything. Then I started taking a mix of 5 sources of collagen and was pleasantly surprised when my hair stopped falling out as much. I have 1/5 as much fall out now and my fingernails are stronger than they have been in years. I put mine in my morning coffee.

Jay See Happy Christmas to you too, Jay! So glad you find the videos helpful. Do let me know how you get on with the collagen. I think it takes about a month to see the benefits and I’m only taking one capsule a day x
Yes they do work!! I take collagen peptide from the company called vital peptide.. yes it help A lot with your skin with a wrinkle , also it make the hair chef thicker ,but it’s very important to take it with hyaluronic acid supplement ,and vitamin C important thing has to be grass fed and to be collagen peptide so your body doesn’t have to do too much to break it down ,it’s already easy for your body and also I noticed with my joints and my nails😊😊🌺
Marine collagen has done WONDERS for my hair. I was practically hair-free, and only after two months I had tons of new hairs coming in. As of today I have FULL coverage of the most lustrous, healthy, bouncy hair you've ever seen. The ONLY negative is: It's ALL on my back!
If you add bioprine which is black pepper extract or crushed up fresh ground black pepper it increases the bioability therefore it will make it past your digestive system and your body can actually absorb more of it instead of getting lost I just realized that when I saw there was a supplement that contains collagen with with bioprine because I know turmeric usually has bioprine to help with bioability
Merry Christmas to you and your mum Clare. Wow, such a remarkable change in only a month and at half the dosage! I think I will try this (through your link) at some stage. I had been taking Vital Proteins collagen powder for a few months. It was good and I am pretty sure I noticed a difference in hair/skin, but after about 10 weeks I started getting stomach pains from it. It also affected my hormones so I had to stop, sadly. All the problems went away after I stopped. Before this, I took Great Lakes and that was ok. Capsules are so much easier when travelling. Thanks for sharing :-)

I’ll see if I can persuade her to do another video soon. She’s actually making a wee appearance in a short video that I’ll publish at the weekend. Thanks again!
Hi, many thanks for the fantastic video. Can I ask this is only type 1 and 3. Will this be helpful for my joints I read somewhere that i need type 2 for joints or ami being misinformed. Many thanks
Hi - and thank you for watching! I’m not an expert, just a journalist, but from the research I’ve seen I think it would be worth looking at type 2 collagen for your joint pain or a supplement with multiple types including 2. Hope that helps.
A collagen peptide focused on joints is Fortigel. Often sold under various brands for sports people. If bone strength is dismissing too, I’d recommend ATP’s Jolt and 500mg vitamin C, it has collagen targeting bone, cartilage and tendons. I came across a 92 year old that walks a few km each day, but fell and now recovering from a broken neck. I suspect that if she was taking bone targeted collagen, that wouldn’t of happened.
Thanks for the very informative video. I am interested in trying a collagen supplement but am finding myself a bit overwhelmed with choices. From your review this one definitely seems worth a shot. Are both you and your mom still taking them and getting positive results?
My mum still takes these supplements daily and continues to swear by them. She’s nearly 80 now! They’ve been great for her. I’m not as good at keeping up with supplements but when I do get my act together this is my top collagen choice!
Is there any contraindication of taking collagen for old people? I want to try this with my mother too cuz thats how i love my mum, and i want her to be as young as she was when i was like 10 years old 🥰🥰🥰 btw im 30 now
All the things that helped your mother, collagen does, but her pain it doesn't really. She needs bone broth powder if she wants to improve her immune system, if her pain is do to inflammation. Bone broth powder also improves your digestive system and the lining in the gut and has several benefits. All this is easily researched by just searching "collagen vs. bone broth".
Thanks Harold. I'm definitely interested in the benefits of bone broth but - as with so many things in life - the evidence doesn't seem to be quite there yet. This is one of the first articles I stumbled across when searching for the benefits of bone broth www.health.harvard.edu/healthy-eating/whats-the-scoop-on-bone-soup
@@thehonestchannel if you google anything, you will get lies and no articles, unless it is pharma related medications. By using Duckduckgo research engine, you will find many truths on bone broth. I've got sow mutch hair I allso got thick full eyebrow and eyelashes but I eat allot fish sinds my childhood I look like a gorrilla😎 but it's very interesting that it can heal
But how can you see hair difference after a month? Wouldn't it take at least 6 months (4-6 inches of growth) in order to actually see a difference? How can it get full in a month? That's biologically impossible.
It's not necessarily that she grew more hair in one month, it's the condition and strength of the hair that creates the volume. My mum had very fine dry and brittle hair and the condition of both her hair and nails improved with these supplements - and she began seeing and feeling changes after a month. That's entirely possible. She still takes them daily years on and still swears by them.
Sorry to hear that. I see it's in stock on Amazon UK amzn.to/3R8Ovp7, are you in the US? You could order direct from Dietapplements if so www.dietapplements.com/
That's true! Besides its role in boosting our immune system, vitamin C is also necessary for natural collagen production. It helps to synthesize collagen so taking it with a collagen supplement will supercharge collagen production in the body. As we age, our bodies' collagen production slows down, so it becomes even more necessary to supplement and keep our collagen levels up.
There was a HUGE different in my hair, skin and nails. Great video. Only thing that irritated me was when your mom would complete a sentence, u kept saying "uh huh" yes! Uh huh. Anyways, u 2 are beautiful. My knees also feel so much better. I take the peptides for a few days and then take the oral supplements. I switch it up.
hair doesn't grow that fast so I'm a bit skeptical that her hair would show that much improvement after only a month. I've been using it for a year and don' notice any such improvement in my hair. Very disappointing. I thought about trying the Marine powder variety instead of the bovine as it's supposed to be better digested.
I've been using it a few months now, maybe 3-4 since watching this video and my hair definitely feel thicker, I guess maybe it's not the growth so to speak but it helps from the root to the tips of your hair... Like when you use a volumizing shampoo, only this is helping you from the inside out... That's only from my experience... Main things I've noticed for myself, my hair is thicker, nails stronger, my skin feels firmer, pours aren't as obvious and my lines/wrinkles are less, more smoothed out... I don't feel, look as washed out as I use to.... I was on a vegan version, and although it was good, after a few months I hit a wall and found it stopped working, maybe this one isn't the one for you and it's a case of finding one that works.... I'm hoping this one continues to work for me as it's much more affordable compared to a lot I've seen.
I read that too about the Marine collagen but it's more expensive (not a big deal if it works) and tastes funny. Best of luck to us both. Check out MSM supplements, topical and internal.
