+Yin Dragon Yeah, I played all 3 with the 2nd being my favorite. Honestly they were surprisingly a lot of fun, a bit silly but it kind of added to the experience. It was cool going across a pokemon region with a different goal/purpose for the journey.
i wholeheartedly agree that a Pokemon Snap sequel would be INCREDIBLE. imagine all of the new possibilities now that it's nearly 20 years since it's release date!!! pretty HD graphics, new and improved items, a wider variety of Pokemon to photograph, maybe even ways to upgrade the camera and car?? A NEW AND IMPROVED WAY THAT YOUR PICTURES ARE SCORED???? maybe it's just because it was one of my favorite games as a kid, but I would buy the shit out of a sequel in a heartbeat

If Asura's Wrath 2 is Jarrad's instant impulse buy, Pokemon Snap 2/remastered (either is fine by me) is mine. Games about photography, in and of itself, is rare. Not too many, besides those that use it for gimmicks. But a pokemon photography game, done well? Ah. So lovely.
wariodude128, I think the wii u would have been an alright home for pokemon snap 2, but I think the switch is just so much better. It's stronger, hardware wise, and since the switch has sold better, PS2 would sell better too. Besides, with the switch being fully portable, or tabletop tablet, or docked, it's a great fit for *optional* motion controls (akin to augmented reality), or regular thumbstick aiming.

Well, I like the Original Jak Trilogy, and as for Lost Frontier, it was a spin-off that had no heart put into it. Sure, it players like the games, and it has some interesting ideas. But its execution of those ideas were flawed at best, and ultimately cause the series to crashland into a sea of mediocrity. Jak and Daxter is an excellent platformer, that felt "empty". Jak 2 really up'd their game by essentially making it a GTA styled game, but with a futuristic setting, and still, really good platforming. Jak 3 I feel is good but tried too much, too fast. Essentially what I'd like to see is something that plays like Jak 2, but with a wide open world and some platforming challenges, and a gripping story. Maybe having the original villains from the first game make a comeback. I can see some unique story settings with them. But that's just my thought on the matter.
It’s pretty clear that you haven’t played Chrono Cross, because the “spiritual sequel” veil at the start falls away to reveal that it is VERY MUCH a direct sequel to CT. Also insane to Complete.
I honestly agree so hard to the L.A Noire sequel. Imagine after the events of the first one with Jack instead of Cole and maybe have him not dead? It would add a really cool twist in the story.
Sorry for the late reply. But yea.. My dad is a die hard Mentalist fan. We both have the same opinions, i hate Mentalist and love Lie to me. Despite it being "the same show" sorta. And he hates Lie to me. Finds the main character boring. While i feel the same about Patrick Jane on occassion. I even find Perception better in some episodes.

Dude yes!! I'd LOVE a sequel to Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger. I never expect my opinions to line up with TH-camrs or other gamers but when they do, it's.. a good feeling! My top 10 for most wanted sequels would be: 10. Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed 9. Burnout 3 Takedown 8. Rush 2049 7. Megaman X 8 6 . Breath of Fire 4(there isn't a fifth one in the main series right?) 5. Megaman Legends 2 4. Jet Set Radio Future 3. Phantasy Star Online (BRING PSO 2 to the STATES and EUROPE already! They still stealthily IP Ban foreign IP's overseas which is total bull! I'll take PSO III at this rate, just bring it over!) 2. Super Mario RPG (Honorable mentions: Shenmue but we're getting one) 1. IceHedge chrono trigger was a flash in a bag. That can never be recaptured, and giving it a sequel would only lessen the impact. Let that videogame lie.
I think what hurts the series are quick ports like we saw on mobile phones and what Steam just released today. I'm normally not a stickler for details easily overlooked, but I feel like I'm playing some wonky made up 240x600 resolution game blown up to fit my screen making the graphics uneven and worse than the DS/PS/SNES versions. No anime cutscenes too. I think a sequel would reignite interest in the series. One done right and done well, of course.
IceHedge Dude, I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to see Jet Set Radio Future to be brought back with a sequel! Sega really needs to get their heads out of their asses and find someone who will put this into development.
If we get a sequel to Mario RPG, it'll have fewer characters, none of the old characters except Mario, fewer options, worse options, a worse story, worse music, & it'll be generally terrible. It'll also only be on New 3DS 2 & it'll withhold stuff from people who don't have the right amiibos. The last boss will be Bowser in his base form. Samus will make a cameo again but she'll be naked & crying.

Multi Tails Power I mean, Bloodborne will always be a masterpiece, it’s not like a sequel could retroactively ruin it. Dead Space 3 is a pile of crap, but it didn’t make Dead Space 1 any less amazing. I say the more the merrier.
I just want the game play of Bloodborne and a good story would be nice. I played Dark Souls 3 after Bloodborne and it just didn't feel as good in the gameplay or story
As far as a Catherine sequel goes, I think another game with the same general concept is the wrong idea. Rather, I'd like for Atlus to use "The Golden Playhouse," the frame narrative of the game, to create a series of standalone games that explore ideas which might not be as palatable for mainstream audiences, tied together thematically with recurring elements or maybe even "cast members" like what American Horror Story does. Catherine is perfect, one of the greatest games period. But doing it all again, I think, won't have the same magic.
I truly agree with you but even if they did a sequel of Catherine i believe they could show something new, Atlus so far hasn't made really bad sequels of there other franchises so how know´s? As long as they don't make Catherine Nuts and Bolts :p
There was a third Viewtiful Joe game. It came out on the DS. It's called Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble. There was even a fighting game spinoff called Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble. True story.

I was planning to comment "SMRPG better be on this list" but deciding to watch the video first did NOT disappoint! :D The only thing I would add to this list is every Megaman that ended in unresolved cliff hangers, and another Luigis Mansion.
I can only agree and I would love for that series to get the big screen treatment. Keep the general structure, tighten up the gameplay a bit and just deliver more of the same epic fun stuff we already had, preferably in even better graphics.
To be honest, I want a Wii Music sequel. The backlash that it initially got was really just cause the reviewers didn’t even play correctly, they just waggled and then gave it a low score.

My top 10 (in no particular order but without any of Jerard's choices) Legend of the dragoon 2: Easily one of the most criminally under-talked about games ever made,LotD is like FF7 but with far superior characters and the convoluted overworld thrown aside. By implementing Additions this title was able to keep the player engaged with no need for grinding and no need for super confusing combat systems. However I don't think this should be a sequel, but instead a prequel to the original likely dubbed 'Legend of the dragoon The Dragon Campaign'. They could even give the game a Combat system like a mesh of the original and Xenoblade Chronicles. Dark Cloud 3: While I haven't played the second entry, I would like this to be a return to the format and style of the original. Randomly generated dungeons, and an emphasis on the themes and varieties of love, this time Let us play as a father or mother character and let us really participate in the world before it's destroyed. Paper Mario 3: Super Paper mario is my personal favorite Mario title, but I would sell a few organs on the black market if we could get a proper NOT STICKER STAR sequel for The Thousand Year door going, perhaps staring Luigi but of course featuring partners and Proper turn based timing based RPG mechanics. I'm sorry Jerard, but I have to disagree with you here, this one is more deserved than mario RPG, but I don't see any reason Geno can't take part. Banjo 3ie: Loyal fans have been waiting for far too long and Euka-Laylee didn't fill the void. I actually liked Nuts and bolts too but We need the Bear and bird traveling through self contained worlds that vary in number and style like the first 2 games again. You don't have to add new moves to needlessly confuse things, just use Note doors and Jiggies again. Maybe have them travel through the old witch's old dilapidated Lair Pursuing a new enemy or an old friend turned enemy. Donkey Kong 64 returns: Get rid of the bonus barrels and give the world a somewhat grungy feel like DKC2, Perhaps K. Rool Captures DK and the other Kongs and the player has to pick who breaks out and starts the search on the new Kremland for the other incarcerated apes and Revenge. Bring back Kirkhope and Weis and give us another go round in Kremland! Pikmin 4: What would happen if different factions traveled to the mysterious planet? Would a mercenary war break out? Would the player be able to negotiate for peace with or defeat their Rivals? Imagine the size that could be executed with the switch's capabilities. Imagine the pressure of collecting treasure with the threat of competitors and all the crazy ways Hocotates could harness the wildlife to defeat their competitors and each of the things these competitors could be after. KotOR 3: It's not a secret that most people think that the KotOR series has a better story than The star wars films and there are still a lot of story possibilities in that cannon. From the idea of exploring the many events before the first game to the Events following the second game. The MMO exists, but suffers the setbacks of being an MMO. The lack of a self contained story for one. Though I doubt this will ever happen, because disney are being dicks about the extended universe and copyright in general... I still want to see it happen pretty badly, especially now that Bioware have dropped the ball on Mass Effect twice in a row. Mario 3D Maker: Speaks for itself... Mario maker with creation tools for 3D environments in the styles of Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy. Spyro Returns: No franchise has been butchered quite like spyro... well no franchise besides Sonic. It would be so easy for a return to form for the purple dragon, if somebody only gave him the TLC he deserves and instead of trying to gimic him to death just made a new good Spyro game in the style of the first 3 games. Get rid of Hunter though... or at least make him less condescending in the new title. Pokemon Orre: I've been waiting for a continuation of the Colosseum/XD pokemon games, but the way I think it could be even better would be to give the player a choice FOR ONCE as to who they side with: Cypher, the Kids Network, or nobody at all. Just imagine the possibilities that could open up with a game like this on the Switch alongside whatever new main series title has yet to be revealed.

Pokemon snap, YES! I've been saying this for years. Remastered with new levels, true sequel, I don't care. MAKE IT NINTENDO, PLEASE! A true Chrono Trigger 2, also. And ah...Super mario RPG. What a classic. Maybe it's time to pull out my SNES again...see how all those old lovely games are doing. Prooobably about time I had those batteries changed.

It's literally just the android/ios game. Which absolutely sucks. It's just like the ports of FF's 3-6. There was absolutely no thought put into it. Just throw the phone version onto steam, and that's it.

Im glad you put bloodborne in your list! Im a souls fan and i have 200 hours in darksouls 3, beat darksouls 2 and im making darksouls remaster my first time playing darksouls 1, and im currently playing bloodborne for the first time. Bloodborne 2 would be #1 on my list

I just wish more games would use Chrono Trigger's Tech system. Having Dual and Triple Techs unlock as characters fought battles together was amazing, firstly because you got a cool new move and secondly because it implied that the ragtag group of adventurers was actually WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM and learning to trust each other. It was a great gameplay and subtle narrative system that really helped me love Chrono Trigger more than I already did, and gave me a reason to try out different combinations of party members other than "the main dude and whoever's easiest to look at/breaks this particular boss". Now, if they could find a way to also implement Timed Hits then I would never leave my basement. I would straight up go and buy a house with a finished basement, rent out the rooms above to support my Dr Pepper addiction and pay the mortgage, and live the game.
for me, i would LOVE for there to be a sequel to the world ends with you, which is my favorite square enix game. i heard that there's gonna be a reboot on the switch later this year (which i am SO HYPED FOR) but it'd be cool to see what happens with neku after the events in shibuya's UG. what happens to joshua now that the game's over, shiki's reveal, her reunion with eri, neku meeting eri maybe, just so much that could happen that i want to see! so that's definitely one i'd want a sequel for.
Your #1 was a brilliant choice! And while I do love most paper mario and mario and luigi games you can't ever look past the enriching atmosphere and epic quest that you endure in the first mario rpg. This game definitely deserves another sequel with the same but obviously updated graphics and at the very least an explanation why luigi wasn't present at all,yet samus and link can sneak their metroid and fairy sperm covered/infected lemon jelly e.t. freeloading corpses into the game! Also one more thing,PUT PINNOCHIO INTO THE GAME AS A BOSS BATTLE FOR GENO WITH THE VICTOR OF THE BATTLE FINALLY BECOMING A REAL BOY!!!!!!

Super Mario RPG would also be my #1. The nostalgia I have for that game is so strong, it was one of my first turn based rpg's growing up, it was my "in" to final fantasy, it introduced unique characters, and it gave all of the characters special moves that are FITTING to their styles. It was just...perfect. There needs to be another. -bowser snapping fingers-

Pokémon Snap - "If you didn't own the game, you probably played it at a friends house." Hoooo boy did I! What a magical time that was, figuring every secret out by ourselves, going off playground rumours, replaying levels over and over spotting new things, so good.
For the record everyone, the orchestral piece The Completionist used is from a symphony known as “Dvorak New World Symphony 4th movement”. It’s an incredible piece when it’s big and bombastic... when it’s soft and quiet... well, I can easily imagine bunny rabbits skipping to it.
Oh, wow, Grim Fandango? Hell YES! Good list all around, actually. My personal ones would also be LucasArts games. The Dig and Full Throttle. Would love to see sequels to both of those. Sadly, it'll never happen, especially Full Throttle, since Ben's voice actor passed away.
That Pokemon 2 VR idea is cool. Pokemon Snap isn't even my kind of game so I'd probably never play it but that's still just an obviously good idea. I don't know if I've ever heard of a game that would benefit more from VR.

Basically another console Pokemon game with a strong narrative focus 9: Paper Mario TTYD: a proper sequel with a real ATB system 8: Sonic Battle: I like arena fighters, and there's potential with Sonic to make a good one, if Sonic Team isn't making it. 7: Portal 2. I want it more than Half-Life, fight me 6: Bloodborne. Same reasons as you. 5: Shovel Knight: I believe in Yacht Club 4: Policenauts: Lethal Weapon in space? One game wasn't enough to satiate me 3: Doom 2016. The ending hints at a sequel, but I'm still excited during every big game events where they could announce it 2: Devil May Cry. Didn't hate the DMC reboot, but after replaying 4 I need more 1: Metal Gear Rising Revengence. Man Konami is awful we'll never see a sequel to this masterpiece of action

+Yin Dragon Yeah, I played all 3 with the 2nd being my favorite. Honestly they were surprisingly a lot of fun, a bit silly but it kind of added to the experience. It was cool going across a pokemon region with a different goal/purpose for the journey.
i wholeheartedly agree that a Pokemon Snap sequel would be INCREDIBLE. imagine all of the new possibilities now that it's nearly 20 years since it's release date!!! pretty HD graphics, new and improved items, a wider variety of Pokemon to photograph, maybe even ways to upgrade the camera and car?? Games about photography, in and of itself, is rare. Not too many, besides those that use it for gimmicks. But a pokemon photography game, done well? Ah. So lovely.
wariodude128, I think the wii u would have been an alright home for pokemon snap 2, but I think the switch is just so much better. It's stronger, hardware wise, and since the switch has sold better, PS2 would sell better too.
Besides, with the switch being fully portable, or tabletop tablet, or docked, it's a great fit for *optional* motion controls (akin to augmented reality), or regular thumbstick aiming.

Well, I like the Original Jak Trilogy, and as for Lost Frontier, it was a spin-off that had no heart put into it.
Sure, it players like the games, and it has some interesting ideas. But its execution of those ideas were flawed at best, and ultimately cause the series to crashland into a sea of mediocrity.
Jak and Daxter is an excellent platformer, that felt "empty". Jak 2 really up'd their game by essentially making it a GTA styled game, but with a futuristic setting, and still, really good platforming. Jak 3 I feel is good but tried too much, too fast.
Essentially what I'd like to see is something that plays like Jak 2, but with a wide open world and some platforming challenges, and a gripping story. Maybe having the original villains from the first game make a comeback. I can see some unique story settings with them.
But that's just my thought on the matter.

I think what hurts the series are quick ports like we saw on mobile phones and what Steam just released today. I'm normally not a stickler for details easily overlooked, but I feel like I'm playing some wonky made up 240x600 resolution game blown up to fit my screen making the graphics uneven and worse than the DS/PS/SNES versions. No anime cutscenes too.
I think a sequel would reignite interest in the series. One done right and done well, of course.
IceHedge Dude, I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to see Jet Set Radio Future to be brought back with a sequel! Sega really needs to get their heads out of their asses and find someone who will put this into development.
If we get a sequel to Mario RPG, it'll have fewer characters, none of the old characters except Mario, fewer options, worse options, a worse story, worse music, & it'll be generally terrible. It'll also only be on New 3DS 2 & it'll withhold stuff from people who don't have the right amiibos. The last boss will be Bowser in his base form. Samus will make a cameo again but she'll be naked & crying.

As far as a Catherine sequel goes, I think another game with the same general concept is the wrong idea.
Rather, I'd like for Atlus to use "The Golden Playhouse," the frame narrative of the game, to create a series of standalone games that explore ideas which might not be as palatable for mainstream audiences, tied together thematically with recurring elements or maybe even "cast members" like what American Horror Story does.
Catherine is perfect, one of the greatest games period. But doing it all again, I think, won't have the same magic.
I truly agree with you but even if they did a sequel of Catherine i believe they could show something new, Atlus so far hasn't made really bad sequels of there other franchises so how know´s? As long as they don't make Catherine Nuts and Bolts :p

Legend of the dragoon 2:
Easily one of the most criminally under-talked about games ever made,LotD is like FF7 but with far superior characters and the convoluted overworld thrown aside. By implementing Additions this title was able to keep the player engaged with no need for grinding and no need for super confusing combat systems. However I don't think this should be a sequel, but instead a prequel to the original likely dubbed 'Legend of the dragoon The Dragon Campaign'. They could even give the game a Combat system like a mesh of the original and Xenoblade Chronicles.
Dark Cloud 3:
While I haven't played the second entry, I would like this to be a return to the format and style of the original. Randomly generated dungeons, and an emphasis on the themes and varieties of love, this time Let us play as a father or mother character and let us really participate in the world before it's destroyed.
Paper Mario 3:
Super Paper mario is my personal favorite Mario title, but I would sell a few organs on the black market if we could get a proper NOT STICKER STAR sequel for The Thousand Year door going, perhaps staring Luigi but of course featuring partners and Proper turn based timing based RPG mechanics. I'm sorry Jerard, but I have to disagree with you here, this one is more deserved than mario RPG, but I don't see any reason Geno can't take part.

Loyal fans have been waiting for far too long and Euka-Laylee didn't fill the void. I actually liked Nuts and bolts too but We need the Bear and bird traveling through self contained worlds that vary in number and style like the first 2 games again. You don't have to add new moves to needlessly confuse things, just use Note doors and Jiggies again. Maybe have them travel through the old witch's old dilapidated Lair Pursuing a new enemy or an old friend turned enemy.
Donkey Kong 64 returns:
Get rid of the bonus barrels and give the world a somewhat grungy feel like DKC2, Perhaps K. Rool Captures DK and the other Kongs and the player has to pick who breaks out and starts the search on the new Kremland for the other incarcerated apes and Revenge. Bring back Kirkhope and Weis and give us another go round in Kremland!
Pikmin 4:
What would happen if different factions traveled to the mysterious planet? Would a mercenary war break out? Would the player be able to negotiate for peace with or defeat their Rivals? Imagine the size that could be executed with the switch's capabilities. Imagine the pressure of collecting treasure with the threat of competitors and all the crazy ways Hocotates could harness the wildlife to defeat their competitors and each of the things these competitors could be after.
KotOR 3:
It's not a secret that most people think that the KotOR series has a better story than The star wars films and there are still a lot of story possibilities in that cannon. From the idea of exploring the many events before the first game to the Events following the second game. The MMO exists, but suffers the setbacks of being an MMO. The lack of a self contained story for one. Though I doubt this will ever happen, because disney are being dicks about the extended universe and copyright in general... I still want to see it happen pretty badly, especially now that Bioware have dropped the ball on Mass Effect twice in a row.
Mario 3D Maker:
Speaks for itself... Mario maker with creation tools for 3D environments in the styles of Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy.
Spyro Returns:
No franchise has been butchered quite like spyro... well no franchise besides Sonic. It would be so easy for a return to form for the purple dragon, if somebody only gave him the TLC he deserves and instead of trying to gimic him to death just made a new good Spyro game in the style of the first 3 games. Get rid of Hunter though... or at least make him less condescending in the new title.
Pokemon Orre:
I've been waiting for a continuation of the Colosseum/XD pokemon games, but the way I think it could be even better would be to give the player a choice FOR ONCE as to who they side with: Cypher, the Kids Network, or nobody at all. Just imagine the possibilities that could open up with a game like this on the Switch alongside whatever new main series title has yet to be revealed.

It's literally just the android/ios game. Which absolutely sucks. It's just like the ports of FF's 3-6. There was absolutely no thought put into it. Just throw the phone version onto steam, and that's it.

I just wish more games would use Chrono Trigger's Tech system. Having Dual and Triple Techs unlock as characters fought battles together was amazing, firstly because you got a cool new move and secondly because it implied that the ragtag group of adventurers was actually WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM and learning to trust each other. It was a great gameplay and subtle narrative system that really helped me love Chrono Trigger more than I already did, and gave me a reason to try out different combinations of party members other than "the main dude and whoever's easiest to look at/breaks this particular boss".
Now, if they could find a way to also implement Timed Hits then I would never leave my basement. I would straight up go and buy a house with a finished basement, rent out the rooms above to support my Dr Pepper addiction and pay the mortgage, and live the game.

for me, i would LOVE for there to be a sequel to the world ends with you, which is my favorite square enix game. i heard that there's gonna be a reboot on the switch later this year (which i am SO HYPED FOR) but it'd be cool to see what happens with neku after the events in shibuya's UG. what happens to joshua now that the game's over, shiki's reveal, her reunion with eri, neku meeting eri maybe, just so much that could happen that i want to see! so that's definitely one i'd want a sequel for.

Your #1 was a brilliant choice! And while I do love most paper mario and mario and luigi games you can't ever look past the enriching atmosphere and epic quest that you endure in the first mario rpg. This game definitely deserves another sequel with the same but obviously updated graphics and at the very least an explanation why luigi wasn't present at all,yet samus and link can sneak their metroid and fairy sperm covered/infected lemon jelly e.t. freeloading corpses into the game! Omg, Jirard! I wholeheartedly agree with a Super Mario RPG remake! Definitely one of my all-time favorite Mario games with some of the best music, in my opinion! I’d also be happy with a remastered version but a sequel would be fantastic!!
Good call on New World Symphony during Azura's Wrath, since a string transcription can be heard in the game.
Super Mario RPG would also be my #1. The nostalgia I have for that game is so strong, it was one of my first turn based rpg's growing up, it was my "in" to final fantasy, it introduced unique characters, and it gave all of the characters special moves that are FITTING to their styles. It was just...perfect. There needs to be another.

For the record everyone, the orchestral piece The Completionist used is from a symphony known as “Dvorak New World Symphony 4th movement”. It’s an incredible piece when it’s big and bombastic... when it’s soft and quiet... well, I can easily imagine bunny rabbits skipping to it.

That Pokemon 2 VR idea is cool. Pokemon Snap isn't even my kind of game so I'd probably never play it but that's still just an obviously good idea. I don't know if I've ever heard of a game that would benefit more from VR.

10: Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. Basically another console Pokemon game with a strong narrative focus
9: Paper Mario TTYD: a proper sequel with a real ATB system
8: Sonic Battle: I like arena fighters, and there's potential with Sonic to make a good one, if Sonic Team isn't making it.
7: Portal 2. I want it more than Half-Life, fight me
6: Bloodborne. Same reasons as you.
5: Shovel Knight: I believe in Yacht Club
4: Policenauts: Lethal Weapon in space? One game wasn't enough to satiate me
3: Doom 2016. The ending hints at a sequel, but I'm still excited during every big game events where they could announce it
