Deadlocked gets shafted a lot, but honestly, I really liked it. The music nails that space gladiator vibe and the weapons were a lot of fun to use, especially the Dual Vipers. A good spinoff game to end the PS2 era of R&C.
Does it? I never saw any of the R&C games getting roasted. It was the first time that i was in an absolute flow when playing PvP against my brother and cousin. That music contributed a lot to it.
@@Mediados i think Deadlocked is the forgotten child of the bunch, especially since its story was so small and self contained. Then again, thats why i love it. It was the last TRUE ratchet and clank experience
@@logangagnepain7154 I wouldnt go so far to seperate R&C games into "true" games. They are all great in my opinion. Deadlocked was just unique in its own way, darker than all the other games. Many didnt like that, i found it awesome, but i think Gleeman Vox is one of the community favorites.
@@Mediados When I say "true" I am speaking in terms of the story, usually involving some sort of critique on capitalism and the rooted nature of most characters: a desire to get more cash than even safety and security. Its something that was lost after Deadlocked, with the focus on the Lombaxes and Clank's god father.
David Bergeaud is a musical genius, especially for his orchestral sounds in the original trilogy. Too bad he never received a nomination for these games.
Why do people always praise the trilogy so much? I think everything was a 10/10 up to Tools of Destruction. I do agree that the trilogy has some of the best tho.

I still stand by that Ratchet Deadlocked is EXTREMELY underrated and has imo the best soundtrack in the entire R&C series. It justs nails that heavy early 2000s electronic vibe I love so much.

Courtney Gears was not a very relevant character and not one of my favorite villains, but that doesnt change the fact that i will never forget this fight. Accompanied by that music it was truly unique.

Makes me want to dig out my ps2 from storage and play these all again. I remember feeling so accomplished when I would 100% each game. I never bothered to complete any other game like these. Playing video games was more fun when I was a kid. Now I find it to be joyless and too expensive.
