Excellent video mate, been riding a couple of years now and just picked up a little 125 supermoto style bike (terrified myself lifting the front wheel on my 650 previously) and this method worked perfectly.....all practice practice practice now but you've helped me with the basics thanks
I still think this video is probably the best one to get you started. A few months on and a bit of practice and I'm now consistently getting that front wheel nice and high, brap brap brap and keeping it up there...can even do stand ups and learning how to change into second....thanks again for the great start
I have the same bike as you WR125R but i've spent a fair amount of cash on it to look decent so i really don't wanna come off is what am nervous about and scratching me bike up lol, always wanted to learn how to wheelie myself this video has helped tbh will give it a bash tomorrow thanks man! i was always sketchy of how to release the clutch but now i've seen this video and same bike as me now i know what todo. cheers man!
great informative video! been on motorcycles most of my life, just got my first dirtbike. i wanna try this, just not there yet…. i’m thinking a hard flat grassy field might be best for falls
hi mate! i also have a wr and i do manage to get the wheel up to some point , but after that i feel like my feet are falling off the pegs.. i am a bit afraid to go higher as i might fall and crash. keep in mind that i don't really have supermoto style boots.. any tips would be appreciated :D love the vid
nice video, but i just cant find the balance point.. i have ybr 125. whenever i do wheelie the bike goes up and lands back down no matter what i do i just cant maintain it. and i dont wana do that brub brub thing. the bike gets to a dangerous height
+hassan nawaz Hey Hassan, you'll most likely find that 'dangerous height' is close to balance point its a scary experience getting there but with time, practice and patience you will improve, try sitting further back in the bikes seat aswell as going a little slower all trial and error, good luck!
You can wheely with just about anything. People do it with their 50cc bikes so a motorcycle that has a 150% bigger engine can definitely do it because the weight ratio difference is nowhere near that high
yea i guess ybr cant, my bike acts differently then what happens in video, I can only do wheelie once but when im there my bike sounds like its on 5th gear or something, It doesn't respond to further throttle changes. A friend of mine also said that it is possible to do wheelie on ybr but its hard and that i should use some other bike for learning wheeling. He had honda cg125
all you can do is just keep practicing mate, get on the grass first then you will have the confidance to rip that wheel up wherever !! and nice vid mate and good bike, i had a 400 wr not long ago, sold it and bought a pitbike for a new project, busy customising it, got some vids on my channel feel free to check it out and/or subscribe if any1 intrested.
Tried to wheelie my yzfr125 earlier and managed to get the front wheel up pretty high, came to this video to see how I can improve and keep the wheel up.
I have a wr 125 x and i tried doing a wheelie sitting on the back but the front wheel just goes up a little bit. I even gave full gass before letting the clutch go but that doesn't do it. Any help?
Try leaning back a little I did it on a yamaha yzf r125 a few days ago after briefly watch this video before school, then on my second try got the wheel right up for about 5 seconds
i have a 125cc apollo db-007 and no matter how hard i try the front end barely comes up and when it does it basically imediatly comes back down, any other extra tips?
+Captain Blake Beard lmao I have quads and dirt bikes and grew up around Street bikes and I know that Chinese 125 that's a 4 stroke is weak asf , you'd have to fucking stand on the rear fender to do a decent wheelie on that shit. but ride what you got man I'm not knocking it haha enjoy
I was shopping for them and even at good times at least £2000 but decent ones are around £2300-2500 in the end I settled for an R125 instead which has the same engine but i got mine for 1600 which is much cheaper, and I'll deal with not being able to brap for a year and a half :P
Where are you looking for those bikes? I mean like web pages. I want to search one that is not expensive, but that bike that i could get it to another contry :)
Great tutorial! I managed to get my front wheel up a little the other day but I've now changed my front sprocket to a 17 tooth (was 16), Do you think it's possible to wheelie with that setup as it's more for top end not acceleration? :D
+Two Wheel Review I didn't really pick up much speed so only 5mph... I was fairly far back but I'll give it another go tomorrow. Practice makes perfect!
@@aidanhinchliffe166 Almost nothing serious. I fell on right side and the taillight broke and the backfender broke because it was also looped by the previous owner. Hello how do you put al cross brace on? Sounds like a dumb question but the clamp is rigid and wont wrap around the handle bar.
Anybody got an idea?
The only Tutorial I got info from! Great video and explanation
the best way to learn to wheelie and use the rear brake is to just go over a couple time cuz we all know u learn from mistakes
1 person flipped their bike while doing this
Pretty sure theres more that just one
Now 39 people flipped their bike
Now 100 people flipped their bike
I’m a statistic

Does this technique work on a 2 stroke bike? I have a 125cc Husqvarna WRK and I am trying to learn for the first time how to wheelie.
Thanks
Quase Patrocinad yeh it should
Quase Patrocinad it will work but be carefull with that power band two stroke are a bitch to learn wheelies on
on a 2 stroke its just squeese the gas and it will come up by it selvs
Is engine braking on 2strokes bad?
Adrian Fjeldahl there is no engine braking on two strokes
So did you brake anything when learning?

You forget to tell what gear did you start the wheelie
No, he said 1st gear.
I’ve got a friend with a 200 2 stroke, it’s a death sentence and I twisted the throttle half way and got to balance point using no clutch
Yeah I tried my friend's 2t 250cc. It was hilariously snappy, every cycle pulled quite a bit at low revs.
How much throttle should I give to pull a wheelie but without flippin over? Or is the WR so heavy that you surely can give full throttle?
nice video, but i just cant find the balance point.. i have ybr 125. whenever i do wheelie the bike goes up and lands back down no matter what i do i just cant maintain it. and i dont wana do that brub brub thing. the bike gets to a dangerous height

amazing video.....learnt wheelie from your video .....really helpful...👍👍keep it up👍
What exhaust you got, sounds good. I've got the MT-125 which is same engine as yours I think so I'll give it a go :)
its the full arrow exhaust system, however the wr has a longer end can compared to the mt/yzf arrow exhaust which gives it a heavier bass sound :)
First (1) marce or second?
are you trying to pick up the wheel from second gear?
hey just wanted to know can doing the thing with the clutch destroy it any

Well try standing up and bouncing it :D thats how you wheelie with mopeds so i think you can do it with your bike too if you just practice enough
thanks ill try it!
that piece of shit won't wheelie unless you stand on the damn rear .. why waste your money on that Chinese crap?

do you shift to second or do you drive in first all the time
What gear is being used?
what camera and mic do you use, I am needing a cheap one that can listen to me and record the road x
Will this work on my yz125, my wheel barely comes up.
Taydo LoC if your yz125 is having trouble getting up either your not giving enough throttle or your bike is broken
how much was that bike??

Do u think i can do this with an 4stroke aprilia sx 125 ? Great video btw !
