The bike's fuel filter is very small, with a limited capacity. When it clogs the bike dies, OR, when it clogs pieces of the OEM filter will be sucked to pieces by the sucking pressure of the fuel pump, and those pieces will damage the pump. When that happens the fuel pump will fail. Plus, the pieces that go down the fuel line will clog the injectors.
When that happens those repairs require that the bike be disassembled. Depending on the model of the bike, a replacement fuel filter can't be purchased, instead you have to buy the entire fuel pump assembly. Bring $500 plus money for labor. If your injectors are damaged then you can double that price.
However, if you pre-strain all the fuel you pour into your gas tank, then the chances of the OEM filter ever getting clogged are eliminated. The OEM filter lasts longer, perhaps for the life of the bike.
A Guglatech filter is your first line of defense against contaminated fuel. It's cheap insurance.
On a side note when I made this video I had a chance to closely inspect the inside of my gas tank. I couldn't believe how much crud was sloshing around inside. Dirt, sand, pine needles, bugs, etc. All that crud came out the gas pumps I filled from here in the US, and in Canada. People think the gas they get at a service station is clean and uncontaminated, but it's not.

@@bestrestproducts648 Thanks for the detailed explanation in fact i installed my Guglatech today based on your video ( thanks for that ) but i found a fuel filter in the diagrams and i thought its some how similar to cars setup but it seems its more complex than that
