Something I think would help bring Mercy's supportive capabilities in line while ulting is giving a reduced effect to the aoe beam. So her heal/buff target gets the full effect, but everyone around them gets, like, 50% of the benefits or something. Still pretty big, but definitely a step down from before.
I think sometimes it would be better if they didn't. Most times things needed changing but as of late it just seems like they are catering to the whiners or going too far with whatever changes they are making.
if you see her as dps then she might become actually useless if this change goes through. but if you gonna play her as a *SUPPORT* and continue to buff your team it shouldnt matter that much. i mean, why would you go after kills yourself when you can heal/damage amp multiple teammates?
I hate it when people say things like "It takes more skill to use this character now thanks to these changes". Such as the Mercy nerfs in recent PTR. Skill has nothing to do with stats. Mercy shouldn't have the stats to wipe out a whole team. Yes, it was easier to kill someone only needing one or two bullets as opposed to four or more. But it is a toxic mindset to think that skill has anything to do with it. It is the same mindset that led Ana and Roadhog to their changes, for example. "It takes no skill for Ana to kill someone in 3 shots, but it totally takes skill to kill someone in 5 shots" OR "It takes no skill for Roadhog to kill someone in 1 shot, but it totally takes skill to kill someone in 2 shots". It just sounds like people are being smug when they talk like this and it just ends up adding to the list of buffs and nerfs on every character for no reason. "Mercy is a low-skill character, she shouldn't rez her team because she trash-tier. It would require more skill to be able to rez 4 people within 30 seconds all while killing the entire opposing team." What!?
Craig P I agree with you man, old mercy before the whole rework was just fine in the old update. I could fly around everywhere, get the heals out, boost damage here and there and rez when my team needed it. Don't see why Mercy has to suffer because some people liked to "hide and not heal". That's not exploiting anything, that's just them being bad at playing Mercy. Glad to see he Blizzard team constantly listening to the playerbase (used to play TF2, responses from devs this often is amazing for me) but I hope they know what lines not to cross.
It is powerful. It should encourage healing not pulling out your pistol for a team wipe. The pistol is for when you're alone and need to get out of a sticky situation
She can be powerful without being a DPS. The gun should have been nerfed but she has no survivability during ult now. (before you bring up regen I invite you to actually go to the PTR and try to kill an ulting mercy. It's really easy.) this nerf was brought on I guess by extremely low skill players afraid that she would be too slippery. But she will see no pro play or GM play now.
Valkyrie as it stood was the MOST POWERFUL ULT in the game. Hell, it was even stronger than Mercy's old Ressurection and maybe even Zarya's Grav. Yet is took no where near as long to charge, it was broken.

Mercy main here on PS4 and PC. I'm calling BS on her being a must pick. On console majority of games especially anything not comp there are no healers or tanks. Majority of those games will go 5 or 6 dps. Nobody wants to play healers. Let's be honest, they aren't as "fun" as dps. The Mercy rework needed tweaking some but this seems a knee jerk reaction that goes overboard. Mercy is not OP then (pre patch) or now. It's channels and streamers that get the community going over false information and opinions. Any character in the hands of a grandmaster or top 500 player can be OP. It does not mean the same character is OP in the hands of the rest of the player base.

I mean, I enjoy a lot of his content on this channel, but sometimes he does complain too much. As far as Mercy's Valkyrie is concerned, I think they nerfed her too far. Yes, her pistol buffs needed be nerfed. That's NERFED, not REMOVED. If they wanted to remove something, the could remove one, not both. That just made her kinda garbage. Also, combine that with the flight speed nerf and they just nerfed away everything they were trying to do with Mercy, that being making her a more engaging healer. You know, giving her an ability that would make her more aggressive and put her in the thick of battle? "We want her to be more engaged in the team fights so let's nerf the entire offensive side of her ultimate!" If I were going to tweak the original Valkyrie build of Mercy, I would have reduced her Flight Speed by less and removed only the firing speed buff to her gun. Give her mobility and power when going Battle Mercy, but at the same attack speed as she is without Valkyrie. I think that would have balanced her. But basically, as I said, they removed her entire offensive buff from Valkyrie and made Valkyrie a primarily support oriented ultimate. Oh yes Blizzard, Mercy is really going to be more engaged now that she can just hover a mile away from the fight and heal or damage boost the entire team. Way to make her a more engagement oriented character.
I mean if you look at her ultimate compared to other heroes its fucking broken. Look at Orisa, she drops a bongo that damage boosts anyone one the team by 50% that are in line of sight. Now add to the fact that the ult only lasts for 15 sec's and has 200hp. Now look at Mercy She can damage boost the whole team if they are relatively close, no line of sight needed. Its only 30% added DPS, but unlike Orisa's bongo Mercy can fly around to avoid damage and she has a self heal unlike the unmoving easy to kill bongo. Mercy's ult also lasts a whole 20 sec's unlike Orisa's 15 sec's ult. Now if it was just that I would say the 2 ult's are fairly balanced, *BUT* on top of that Mercy gets *4* rezes during her ult *AND* she can switch from damage boost to a team heal when needed. *AND* she can pull out her pistol and dish out a lot of her own DPS. Mercy's ult is like 3x better then Orisa's and it takes *1/2* the time to charge! please tell me how thats balanced?
This update is pretty stupid. When you change a character so dramatically it's really taking away their purpose. Not to mention, when people say "Oh my god, Mercy takes no skill to play." People are still going to find a way to say that.... Tbh Blizzard ruined Mercy as a character and a healer in general.
tbh, the whole infinite ammo boost kinda ruined the whole thing. I loved the idea of the group boosting/healing, but, given the choice between a gatling gun and chain healing, we see the obvious choice. The chain-healing and flying is good enough, imo. It keeps her as a support-oriented character

It's pretty obvious that none of your team plays much Mercy. I agreed with the rework but they've just overnerfed it imo. It needed some tuning but now it barely feels like she's ulting. We don't have enough supports right now to lose one and that's what's going to happen if she doesn't feel fun to play anymore.

They didn't nerf her ult that much, her damage was just way too much with the fire rate, but I do think they could have just could have removed the damage not the fire rate

They really won't know what to nerf on Mercy's support side of her ult if everyone is using it as a battle mercy ability. With the new changes they will have a better idea if her ult needs further tweaking.

Yeah I think this all ties into the Problem of there not being enough healers in Overwatch. Trying to get people to even play Healers is a problem since there are twice the number of DPS to healers, so twice as many will want to play DPS. So having a must pick healer is somewhat not so bad, somehow.
let's be real, Mercy had it coming. her damage was more than that of pre Nerf soldier. and the flight speed is nerfed from 11 m/s to 9 m/s.pharah for reference moves at 5.5 meters a second.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with these changes (because I'm not really sure tbh), but what you have to realize is that you're comparing an ult to other character's normal stats. It's not a fair comparison.

I am a D.va main and Mystery Heroes is kinda my unwinding game mode or warm up game, generally I don't want to play D.va in another game mode. Also it feels unfair, if there is a map without cliffs I am usually D.va the entire game. One game I literally dived into a 1v6 died and was rezed and won some how. I like mystery heros for playing characters I am bad with. Just my opinion though. =]
Every Overwatch TH-camr I've watched basically just wants Mercy removed from the game. She didn't even need changes to begin with... Just kill her Seriously, it's like every other character in the game Just. Kill. Them. Except Mercy 1v1 is practically useless against, oh, a Tracer or a Reaper. Ghost Of Yharnam Mercy flies 3 times faster then Pharah, has twice the DPS, has infinite ammo, autoheal and can damage boost or heal her entire team at once. Totally easy to counter.
Are you reporting the first 25% damge nerf to Micro Missiles or is this a second 25% nerf to Micro Missiles, because Micro Missiles was nerfed like within 24 hours of the change and it's not a recent change at all.

Not broken? A hero who doesn't require any aim, and nothing but basic skills that you should already have for EVERY other hero.. and still had such a high value, especially with her dumb ultimate. Not broken at all. Go nerf hog into the ground for killing a hero in one shot. But not nerf mercy for reviving 5 with one click? Glad blizzard saw how dumb mercy was.
I see your point, but the things they nerfed so far are understandable. If we end up with a Mercy who can't fly and can't chain heal/buff like she can now,the I would say there would be a massive problem.

It honestly feels like Blizz won't stop fucking with D.va until the haters get what they truly want: A D.va who is so weak that she's completely out of the meta. And also Mercy's ult is super strong and if you noticed, they made her stop doing as much damage but didn't change the 9 second ult or the 5 person heal/damage boost stream. I remember a long time ago back when Blizzard stated they would be trying some really crazy things on PTR to see how they shook up the game (I think it was stated as something they wanted to do around the same patch that they increased all Ultimate gains to needing to be 40% more to earn). I really don't understand the amount of anger going on in the comment section for people. They changed up Mercy's ult based on how they stated they didn't like the way she played before, I can understand people being frustrated that they are changing her at all but the manner in which they are tweaking her on the PTR continuously does make sense. They want her to play differently, so they are trying different iterations on the Public Test Realm and changing them there based on how it plays and the feedback they get from the community. I would rather a new mercy or DVA go through a dozen changes on the PTR while they try to make them more compelling to play then keep things stale and not compelling on the live game. Just my 2 cents though.

I like they went back on the rate of fire and projectile damage buffs with Mercy. Using her ultimate like that didn't feel like a support ultimate at all. However, now Mercy would probably have an even lower impact on the game than with her old ultimate. Changes to her resurrect were definitely a nerf and 60 HPS or +30% damage on multiple targets for an ultimate doesn't impress anyone. It just doesn't have the potential to turn the tide of battle around. And the infinite clip on her pistol just makes her an average DPS instead of the usual below-average.
I mean fuck mercy can practically only heal, but she has less healing than ana????? I mean shit they should have buffed her basic healing, i think it should be 80 heals/sec
The mystery hero update is fair. One of the issues I had with the mode is that defense players on certain maps could kill themselves before set up if they didn't like who they got, whereas the attack team were stuck with who they got unless they're someone like pharah who could kill herself with her rockets.
I'm actually glad that they made her pistol normal in her ult and that she's a little slower, easier cuz I'm used to shooting with her piston at normal speed and damage

D.va was boring before she got rework... All I do is fly around block enemy's ult save my teammate from dying etc it's boring as hell. By the way, she's so easy to play
The numbers are relating to how fast a hero moves vertically. Most heroes have something like 5.5 in speed, so something like lucio when he switches to speed he goes from 5.5 to 7.1 speed. Don't remember the metric used but you can check.
Ressurection coming out of spawn with zero counteplay is just too annoying to play against. I'd agree with you but they are changing nothing about Mercy, as in Heals + Guardian Angel are all good. Except now she can Ressurect every 30 seconds, but its only one hero. In the end she still ends up Ressurecting the same amount if you think about it, just not all at once. Let alone the fact she gets a new Ultimate too.
I'd like res to be the ulti again, but just nerfed so she can't hide, something like "you can't ress heroes you can't see" or something. And the Valkyrie as the E ability, making her fly on her own and letting the beams chain to 1 or 2 heroes (maybe at decreased power in case it's too good). I think that'd feel the same mercy as ever, but more fun and challenging.
What a novel idea, both of these. Mercy doesn't need this exact rework, it's silly. They already nerfed it so that she can't res from spawn. Not only that but the worst type of Mercy player (I'm 3800 with her and McCree) is the one that hides every time they get res and make every fight a 5v6. Making Zarya's graviton inescapable for Mercy just encourages that playstyle, because if Mercy's doing her job as a healer, she's going to get grav'd, no question. The only counterplay is to not be there.
What the hell Blizzard? You nerfed D.Va's new ability without even seeing it go live. At least restore matrix then to normal if you reduce damage by 25%
I'm guessing the magic flying speed number they're talking about is in meters per second. The base speed is 5.5m/s, Tracer and Genji move at 6.0m/s, and I'm assuming this flying speed number is also in meters per second. Pharah's "flying" is just walking in the air with vertical control by boosters instead of just jumping (at 5.5m/s). Mercy is now the only hero who can truly fly.
people like this youtube guy is ruining the game. he plays dps and wants everything but dps nerfed to suit his gameplay. once tanks and healers leave the game the dps will follow too since most cannot function at a target that suits back and not distracted by tanks and needs to be babysit with heals. this channal will follow the ship down also. people like this youtuber is what gives us the 5 dps meta for s5
I have one problem with the Zarya buff, reaper can still wraith form out of the graviton, so I get that tracer can't blink, but she should be able to recall as she is going back in time

The thing with the dead teammate that is replaced with his hero icon i think is should be only for mercy. As you said it takes a lot of screen space and the skull was just perfect for tank, dps players.
Or just keep mercy the same, but keep a few changes like healing multiple people near each other, but harder to gain your resurrection. It's pretty fair. I'm sure people love being resurrected just as much as they hate it. Edit- I know they're trying to stop those "hide and five man ult" , but her recent changes make mercy easier than she already is. (Imo) She can revive 2 people instantly (with ult) while waiting for 10 more seconds to revive another person. She's also able to heal multiple people together, and those extra benefits from her ultimate is a given buff. Someone who plays mercy competitively knows the rework is a buff. Others just want to keep the way she is.

But if it's a mercy we gotta complain she can red her whole team if she does her job correctly? Tf? So being able to wipe out my whole team with one to 2 ult isn't op. I like the mystery hero changes because there are a lot of people who kill themselves if they don't get a hero they like. The whole point of the gamemode is to play a random hero each life, so I'm glad they've changed it.

As someoen who plays a ton of Mystery Heroes (my favourite mode) I send a big THANK YOU to Blizz for putting in the suicide change. If someone can't play what he gets, don't play Mystery Heroes. I hate those people, who kill themself before the match, sometimes multiple times over so he ends up late to the start and maybe dies the next second anyway. Mystery Heroes is about making use of what you get, I make the biggest plays there with heroes I usually don't play (like Widow, Tracer, Genji, Hanzo, Ana etc.) Nice job Blizz!
The problem with that mystery heroes change is that you'll occasionally end up against a monster composition that prevents you from making any sort of progress without specific heroes on your side (such as 3-4 D. Va). Being able to throw yourself from the ledge in most cases wasn't, "I don't want to play this hero," so much as, "This hero is going to do nothing but give the enemy ult charge and make this push even harder than it already is." This is just going to make games worse.
Blizzard logic: -Rework heroes even though there was nothing wrong with them - let overwatch youtubers spread false information about how their rework is too broken -nerf them to where they do not get any play
Have you played the PTR? Be honest here. Everyone I know who has played it, on my team and the enemy team, think Mercy's Valkyrie Gun was too strong. Everybody. Play PTR First. Please.
Anon Falco you gotta remember that she lost the ability to rez big groups of people which was the only thing that made her viable, so now if she can rez a couple people and get a couple of kills thats basically equivalent but now requires a higher skill cap. And if she does whip out her pistol shes making the trade off of not healing her team. So... play the game first. Please.
So basically her ultimate now is just a shorter res cooldown + splitting heal / damage boost and slow flying? Yeah, totally "ultimate", I heard people say that she flies like she normaly hovers without ultimate, there is no real use to fly anymore, just stay on the ground to be safe. Only real use is the beam splitting then, well... guess I just play Zenyatta for better AoE heals or you know... just switch to DPS because there is no real use for healers anymore. I bet the next nerf is removing the fact that her self heal is not interrupted by damage anymore because DPS players complain about killing her.
I'm a Mercy main, and I really don't know what I would change on Valkyrie. I want it to be primarily used to apply your beam to multiple allies, or to save yourself with the flight/regen, as opposed to using the pistol, but I think that should still be an option because it can be fun. Maybe her regen can still be interrupted, but she shares it with nearby allies? A big factor in the assassin Mercy playstyle has been that constant regen making it so hard to duel her, so this change might fix that...

A McCree still has to have line of sight to hit anyone, so they can't hide forever. Mercy could stand with two walls between her and her rez targets and still do her thing. Mercy is the only one that can get away with that before the fix, unless you count Torbjorn going Molten and just letting turrets do the work. The risk she needed to take to get that kind of reward is too much of an outlier compared to everyone else.
Spooky Galaxies Don't be ridiculous, these aren't comparable, rez is instant, its mostly too fast to counter and even usable behind walls. Moreover Mercy's model is goddamn thin which isn't helping when you need to react fast. It's easy to counter a McCree / Reaper ulting even if they hid earlier because they don't instant kill. On the mystery heroes part, I am glad for the part about not having a hero picked twice in a row. I cant count the number of times I've gotten widowmaker twice in a row.
Will try her out tonight. In my opinion, I think they need to increase Mercy's ultimate cooldown by 20% or so (like they did to Mei a while back) to reduce its uptime in cases where Mercy is healing constantly and generating a lot of ult charge.
So speed is overall movement speed. A normal hero moves at 5.5. A Genji/Tracer move at 7. A shielded rein moves at around a 2.5-3, a tank bastion around a 4, tire at 13, etc. The mercy speed changes her from I would say an amped speed lucio to a normal speed lucio.
Let us know what you think to the mercy change, she is still pretty insane in our opinion!

Something I think would help bring Mercy's supportive capabilities in line while ulting is giving a reduced effect to the aoe beam. So her heal/buff target gets the full effect, but everyone around them gets, like, 50% of the benefits or something. Still pretty big, but definitely a step down from before.

I hate it when people say things like "It takes more skill to use this character now thanks to these changes". Such as the Mercy nerfs in recent PTR. Skill has nothing to do with stats. Mercy shouldn't have the stats to wipe out a whole team. Yes, it was easier to kill someone only needing one or two bullets as opposed to four or more. But it is a toxic mindset to think that skill has anything to do with it. It is the same mindset that led Ana and Roadhog to their changes, for example. "It takes no skill for Ana to kill someone in 3 shots, but it totally takes skill to kill someone in 5 shots" OR "It takes no skill for Roadhog to kill someone in 1 shot, but it totally takes skill to kill someone in 2 shots". It just sounds like people are being smug when they talk like this and it just ends up adding to the list of buffs and nerfs on every character for no reason. "Mercy is a low-skill character, she shouldn't rez her team because she trash-tier. It would require more skill to be able to rez 4 people within 30 seconds all while killing the entire opposing team." What!?
Craig P I agree with you man, old mercy before the whole rework was just fine in the old update. I could fly around everywhere, get the heals out, boost damage here and there and rez when my team needed it. Don't see why Mercy has to suffer because some people liked to "hide and not heal". That's not exploiting anything, that's just them being bad at playing Mercy. Glad to see he Blizzard team constantly listening to the playerbase (used to play TF2, responses from devs this often is amazing for me) but I hope they know what lines not to cross.

Valkyrie as it stood was the MOST POWERFUL ULT in the game. Hell, it was even stronger than Mercy's old Ressurection and maybe even Zarya's Grav. Yet is took no where near as long to charge, it was broken.

Mercy main here on PS4 and PC. I'm calling BS on her being a must pick. On console majority of games especially anything not comp there are no healers or tanks. Majority of those games will go 5 or 6 dps. Nobody wants to play healers. Let's be honest, they aren't as "fun" as dps. The Mercy rework needed tweaking some but this seems a knee jerk reaction that goes overboard. Mercy is not OP then (pre patch) or now. It's channels and streamers that get the community going over false information and opinions. Any character in the hands of a grandmaster or top 500 player can be OP. It does not mean the same character is OP in the hands of the rest of the player base.

I mean, I enjoy a lot of his content on this channel, but sometimes he does complain too much. As far as Mercy's Valkyrie is concerned, I think they nerfed her too far. Yes, her pistol buffs needed be nerfed. That's NERFED, not REMOVED. If they wanted to remove something, the could remove one, not both. That just made her kinda garbage. Also, combine that with the flight speed nerf and they just nerfed away everything they were trying to do with Mercy, that being making her a more engaging healer. You know, giving her an ability that would make her more aggressive and put her in the thick of battle? "We want her to be more engaged in the team fights so let's nerf the entire offensive side of her ultimate!" If I were going to tweak the original Valkyrie build of Mercy, I would have reduced her Flight Speed by less and removed only the firing speed buff to her gun. Give her mobility and power when going Battle Mercy, but at the same attack speed as she is without Valkyrie. I think that would have balanced her. But basically, as I said, they removed her entire offensive buff from Valkyrie and made Valkyrie a primarily support oriented ultimate. Oh yes Blizzard, Mercy is really going to be more engaged now that she can just hover a mile away from the fight and heal or damage boost the entire team. Way to make her a more engagement oriented character.
I mean if you look at her ultimate compared to other heroes its fucking broken. Look at Orisa, she drops a bongo that damage boosts anyone one the team by 50% that are in line of sight. Now add to the fact that the ult only lasts for 15 sec's and has 200hp. Now look at Mercy She can damage boost the whole team if they are relatively close, no line of sight needed. Its only 30% added DPS, but unlike Orisa's bongo Mercy can fly around to avoid damage and she has a self heal unlike the unmoving easy to kill bongo. Mercy's ult also lasts a whole 20 sec's unlike Orisa's 15 sec's ult. Now if it was just that I would say the 2 ult's are fairly balanced, *BUT* on top of that Mercy gets *4* rezes during her ult *AND* she can switch from damage boost to a team heal when needed. *AND* she can pull out her pistol and dish out a lot of her own DPS. Mercy's ult is like 3x better then Orisa's and it takes *1/2* the time to charge! please tell me how thats balanced?

Yeah I think this all ties into the Problem of there not being enough healers in Overwatch. Trying to get people to even play Healers is a problem since there are twice the number of DPS to healers, so twice as many will want to play DPS.
So having a must pick healer is somewhat not so bad, somehow.

I am a D.va main and Mystery Heroes is kinda my unwinding game mode or warm up game, generally I don't want to play D.va in another game mode. Also it feels unfair, if there is a map without cliffs I am usually D.va the entire game. One game I literally dived into a 1v6 died and was rezed and won some how. I like mystery heros for playing characters I am bad with. Just my opinion though. =]

It honestly feels like Blizz won't stop fucking with D.va until the haters get what they truly want: A D.va who is so weak that she's completely out of the meta. I remember a long time ago back when Blizzard stated they would be trying some really crazy things on PTR to see how they shook up the game (I think it was stated as something they wanted to do around the same patch that they increased all Ultimate gains to needing to be 40% more to earn). I really don't understand the amount of anger going on in the comment section for people. They changed up Mercy's ult based on how they stated they didn't like the way she played before, I can understand people being frustrated that they are changing her at all but the manner in which they are tweaking her on the PTR continuously does make sense. They want her to play differently, so they are trying different iterations on the Public Test Realm and changing them there based on how it plays and the feedback they get from the community. I would rather a new mercy or DVA go through a dozen changes on the PTR while they try to make them more compelling to play then keep things stale and not compelling on the live game. Just my 2 cents though.

I like they went back on the rate of fire and projectile damage buffs with Mercy. Using her ultimate like that didn't feel like a support ultimate at all.
However, now Mercy would probably have an even lower impact on the game than with her old ultimate. Changes to her resurrect were definitely a nerf and 60 HPS or +30% damage on multiple targets for an ultimate doesn't impress anyone. It just doesn't have the potential to turn the tide of battle around. And the infinite clip on her pistol just makes her an average DPS instead of the usual below-average.

The mystery hero update is fair. One of the issues I had with the mode is that defense players on certain maps could kill themselves before set up if they didn't like who they got, whereas the attack team were stuck with who they got unless they're someone like pharah who could kill herself with her rockets.

The numbers are relating to how fast a hero moves vertically. Most heroes have something like 5.5 in speed, so something like lucio when he switches to speed he goes from 5.5 to 7.1 speed. Don't remember the metric used but you can check.

I'd like res to be the ulti again, but just nerfed so she can't hide, something like "you can't ress heroes you can't see" or something.
And the Valkyrie as the E ability, making her fly on her own and letting the beams chain to 1 or 2 heroes (maybe at decreased power in case it's too good). I think that'd feel the same mercy as ever, but more fun and challenging.

What a novel idea, both of these. Mercy doesn't need this exact rework, it's silly. They already nerfed it so that she can't res from spawn.
Not only that but the worst type of Mercy player (I'm 3800 with her and McCree) is the one that hides every time they get res and make every fight a 5v6. Making Zarya's graviton inescapable for Mercy just encourages that playstyle, because if Mercy's doing her job as a healer, she's going to get grav'd, no question. The only counterplay is to not be there.

the speed value is given in meters per second.
So a change from 11 to 9 equals:
24 mph to 20 mph
39 km/h to 32 km/h

I'm guessing the magic flying speed number they're talking about is in meters per second. The base speed is 5.5m/s, Tracer and Genji move at 6.0m/s, and I'm assuming this flying speed number is also in meters per second. Pharah's "flying" is just walking in the air with vertical control by boosters instead of just jumping (at 5.5m/s). Mercy is now the only hero who can truly fly.

The thing with the dead teammate that is replaced with his hero icon i think is should be only for mercy. As you said it takes a lot of screen space and the skull was just perfect for tank, dps players.

Edit- I know they're trying to stop those "hide and five man ult" , but her recent changes make mercy easier than she already is. (Imo) She can revive 2 people instantly (with ult) while waiting for 10 more seconds to revive another person. She's also able to heal multiple people together, and those extra benefits from her ultimate is a given buff. Someone who plays mercy competitively knows the rework is a buff. Others just want to keep the way she is.

I like the mystery hero changes because there are a lot of people who kill themselves if they don't get a hero they like. The whole point of the gamemode is to play a random hero each life, so I'm glad they've changed it.

As someoen who plays a ton of Mystery Heroes (my favourite mode) I send a big THANK YOU to Blizz for putting in the suicide change. If someone can't play what he gets, don't play Mystery Heroes. I hate those people, who kill themself before the match, sometimes multiple times over so he ends up late to the start and maybe dies the next second anyway. Mystery Heroes is about making use of what you get, I make the biggest plays there with heroes I usually don't play (like Widow, Tracer, Genji, Hanzo, Ana etc.) Nice job Blizz!

The problem with that mystery heroes change is that you'll occasionally end up against a monster composition that prevents you from making any sort of progress without specific heroes on your side (such as 3-4 D. Va). Being able to throw yourself from the ledge in most cases wasn't, "I don't want to play this hero," so much as, "This hero is going to do nothing but give the enemy ult charge and make this push even harder than it already is." This is just going to make games worse.
Blizzard logic:
-Rework heroes even though there was nothing wrong with them
- let overwatch youtubers spread false information about how their rework is too broken
-nerf them to where they do not get any play

So basically her ultimate now is just a shorter res cooldown + splitting heal / damage boost and slow flying? Yeah, totally "ultimate", I heard people say that she flies like she normaly hovers without ultimate, there is no real use to fly anymore, just stay on the ground to be safe. Only real use is the beam splitting then, well... guess I just play Zenyatta for better AoE heals or you know... just switch to DPS because there is no real use for healers anymore.
I bet the next nerf is removing the fact that her self heal is not interrupted by damage anymore because DPS players complain about killing her.

I'm a Mercy main, and I really don't know what I would change on Valkyrie. I want it to be primarily used to apply your beam to multiple allies, or to save yourself with the flight/regen, as opposed to using the pistol, but I think that should still be an option because it can be fun. Maybe her regen can still be interrupted, but she shares it with nearby allies? A big factor in the assassin Mercy playstyle has been that constant regen making it so hard to duel her, so this change might fix that...

A McCree still has to have line of sight to hit anyone, so they can't hide forever. Mercy could stand with two walls between her and her rez targets and still do her thing. Mercy is the only one that can get away with that before the fix, unless you count Torbjorn going Molten and just letting turrets do the work. The risk she needed to take to get that kind of reward is too much of an outlier compared to everyone else.
Spooky Galaxies Don't be ridiculous, these aren't comparable, rez is instant, its mostly too fast to counter and even usable behind walls. Moreover Mercy's model is goddamn thin which isn't helping when you need to react fast.
It's easy to counter a McCree / Reaper ulting even if they hid earlier because they don't instant kill.
Blizzard is going in the right direction with this rework,full team rez is a crutch for bad teams.

Will try her out tonight. In my opinion, I think they need to increase Mercy's ultimate cooldown by 20% or so (like they did to Mei a while back) to reduce its uptime in cases where Mercy is healing constantly and generating a lot of ult charge.

So speed is overall movement speed. A normal hero moves at 5.5. A Genji/Tracer move at 7. A shielded rein moves at around a 2.5-3, a tank bastion around a 4, tire at 13, etc. The mercy speed changes her from I would say an amped speed lucio to a normal speed lucio.
