Could you imagine having never played or watched Overwatch and see this video and being like wtf is going on
I've been playing for almost 3 years now and sometimes I still get dizzy watching high tier plays lol
Jake Mallea that’s EXACTLY me right now.
😂 WTF IS GOING ON?
yeah it's me i'm a noob I dont understand shit lmao
wTf Is GoInG oN????? 😭😭😭😭😭
1:00 that play was so powerful, that Tracer recalled onto another map
I just noticed that lol.
That was so bizarre lol.
How peculiar lol.
Bruh Dafrans tracking
im sorry WHAT? was this an old bug? I just started playing with ow2
1:02 Dafran rewinds into the other point on Oasis??
Luke Brown its an old glitch
Just an old visual glitch.
Music Criminal ohh
Wtf 😂
okay cool so im not too drunk and didn't just make that up in my mind. thank you so much for the conformation
12:28 It's weird to think that some of the newer OW players probably are confused by not only the team comps in some of these clips, but also the fact that something like a Brig switching to Widow could ever happen in a pro game. The good old days
Oh yeah I didn’t even realize, you could switch roles in one?
@@EternalTriadthePaladin before blizzard canot fixed the goat meta (3 tank,3 support) Player can free to switch the character freely.
@@EternalTriadthePaladin yeah you could run all tanks if you felt like it. Kinda why we have queue now. Goats and everyone queueing Damage.
im sure he was brig to throw off anyone staring at tab
i miss the double tracer, double winton, double lucio meta.
Jjonak is literally the only support that I trust flanking
Ryu was pure genius during the South Korean reign
@@jonjim7897 he's still close to top 10. Also the Korean reign isn't over, while it's somewhat contested at the very top levels, tier 2 means 2 different things to Koreans and Americans
@@jacurururur8848 in my opinion he is the best to ever play the game. Havent played or seen anything since like S5 tho so i am biased.
@@jonjim7897 he built the dominant Ana playstyle, and is still one of the best, but his Zen is lackluster
Funnyastro sneaks in
“What a flick”
Pine: wanna see a better one?
whatever happened to pine?
@@rockstermaniac He retired, he streams now I am pretty sure.
@@parispc does he even get any viewers
Guess who’s back
@@michaellee8853 I saw the announcement a few hours ago, made me smile.
As a season 1 spitfire fan it hurts to see that last clip. The words "Surefour's chilling in spawn" still haunt my dreams.
Imagine being a fusion fan and seeing “profit kills the entire team”
Ya’ll were okay.
Man this made me really nostalgic. Quit ow for good 2 months ago but these bring back so many memories from early overwatch when it was in it's prime
Joe Hughes so much shit is happening rn it’s crazy
Skull-killerr what is happening? I still play overwatch and it is still fun and Great
Klaas Ter steeg blizzard Hong Kong shit
Bleach ゴ Literally nothing to do with Overwatch. Does it impact the gameplay of overwatch? No.
@@bleach9508 Overwatch has nothing to do with Hong Kong come on
Pine's Junkertown flank gives me chills every time I watch it. Doesn't matter that I've seen it 20 times, I still get chills.
Gives me actual tears of excitement 😭
BatChest LITERAL CHILLS
2:44 whenever I watch that clip I get soo mad for no reason that the commentator said he missed the helix rocket even though Jake shot it on purpose to knock the genji to the other side.
deadass
yea, nice rocket, quick thinking
11 months later, I too in a fit of rage came to make this exact comment however seen you already had the honour.
To be fair, at maybe a quick glance, it looks like he missed until you realize his intention. You have to remember that they were commentating a lot of action really quickly.
People loved to shit on jake, but tbf his gamesense was top tier.
12:21 "surefours chillin in spawn....."
Epic move.
I miss when we could swap roles and do these kind of plays, now it's just boring 2/2/2 attrition match
@@Hhhh22222-w Surefour could've still pulled this trick, just chill in spawn as Reaper and then switch to Widow.
Feichen Yang why was he on brig and didn't go widow from the beginning?
@@joshuafelten6967 because brig is usually in the pack with the others when they are pushing like that, also if the enemies saw that there were a window they would not have been in the open field like that and the trick would not have worked. Here they thought everyone was flanking without being able to see if there was a brig with them
The guy that predicted Surefour switching to Widow is an absolute legend. Bet Surefour was a bit trembling from the excitement that their plans actually worked out so well. The entire flank exposed to a Widow like that…
I miss OW so much. Back when the hype was so freaking high. So many teams and cups and leagues… all killed by Blizz and their doomed League. GGWP.
Yep good old days.. Especially in S Korea, every PC cafe, hundreds would be playing OW, that was real fun with friends
The Gladiators' Great Bamboozle has got to be my favorite Overwatch play out there. It's so goofy and brilliant, and I saw it live. Blew my mind
Pine is literally so cracked all the time
Well yeah, he's *BIG BOSS PINE* after all...
WindBlaze Anims he was the big boss. F in the chat bois
Ian Seifert what happend to him? :c
Bella ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ he retired from OW
Ian Seifert oh thanks :(
8:37 the real play was Bumper booping Escas high noon with his secondary fire.
Both
At the world stage miracles happen by the minute
That high noon's wasnt gonna get any kill value, just annoying em on rotation
That was an accident lmao
@@aaro2349 doubt it was an accident
@@matmobu6957 remember that isnt the owl the players werent as good. They were basically diamond to masters players
Agilities always on the bad end accept for his one blade lol
Lol same with Jake
@@benhinton4613 really I only saw his pop off clip
Except
he had some amazing lucio plays. including a couple of 5Ks. here is one of them th-cam.com/video/KXJdb-6_CTQ/w-d-xo.html
3:40 "This guy is a living highlight reel man" :D
I definitely appreciate the thought process that these players do at a nanosecond notice. The Winston highlights are pretty sick.
The EQO Carpe 2v5 is my favorite. I love the Fusion and that clip is to this day one of the best moments in esports, in my opinion.
gedster49 I am a philly fan too! That was a great moment
Fragi anyone?
How shitty would you been getting a 4k and still losing the fight
gedster49 but then the next clip....💀
lmao im a boston fan and i die inside anytime that clip comes up
9:55 Zunba walked 5:52 so Dafran could run
Edit: woah I didn't expect it to blow up like this lol
Male Nightcore Nation lol the dafran clip was done a day before on reddit
@@why7387 what?
@@why7387 if you're saying Dafran did it first then that's not the case
??? Bro u high? Zunbas parkour was done in WC 2016.
@@bnguyen599 that's what I'm saying lol
3:56 basically wipes 6 with one dash. Impressive. The patience and timing. 👍
9:42 The mercy's face lol
lmao
Watch it at .25 speed
Shocker OW ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Thats hilarious
@@jh_monty8888 my guy what?
Apex was epic. It had the best meta too. 60% of the time dive was played, but then on some maps it would be hitscans with Rein/Zarya and off pick heroes were still viable like Mei. Simple, straightforward meta that allowed for creativity, high skill, and big brained strats.
9:54 is the best clip
At first I was like "NO WAY one can do an accurate top OW plays". But this list is pretty solid.
OW has to be one of the best made shooters. To have all of these maps and heroes used in such creative ways is just beautiful to watch
made for casuals
@@aletheia3253sorry you play final destination only fox no items on every game you like
@@EternalTriadthePaladinhaha
I KNEW THE GREAT BAMBOOZLE WAS GONNA BE NUMBER 1
Can you please explain what exactly happened? I'm relatively new to overwatch...
@@nishhx_x basically the gladiators hid a powerful dps player in spawn as Brigitte, a hero known to stick with the team in close combat. And the five team members ran quickly past the enemy without engaging, which made the enemy team rotate positions to face the next attack. Then the Brigitte hidden in spawn switches to widowmaker, while the enemy is not aware of the threat, and boom boom free kills.
@@nishhx_x doesn't matter anyways we'll never see amazing strategic plays like those anymore with this 2/2/2 role queue
@@holygrandpas1141 aw wow you explained it welll....thanksss!!! ^^
@Helios @Hara Yanto, let me guess, you're dps players...
8:04 theres something so satisfying about that play
I love the energy of the OWL so many people screaming and cheering them on after a solid play makes it even more epic
"A day at the shooting range" is probably one of the best lines from gaming.
Mitch is SO GOOD at his job. Never fails
1:02 so we’re not gonna talk about how that recall went to another map? Ok.
ikr
@@sneaksies8931 oh hey sneaksies hows it going
Damn what's the chances?!?! What's up
@@sneaksies8931 not much, how's the team
@@awzumzap3634 chilling we got another proj hes not as good at you, but he can play doom better
Wow, I've never seen a compilation like this one. Good job
Big boss pines was easily my favorite it was just him solo killing entire teams for his clips
I’ll never forget the moment I heard “can you get over the roof there?”
That last play is what made the game great. 6v6 and no role lock. The good old days
I miss this Overwatch.
4:06 i need replay
Man agilities got the Short straw in so many of these clips
3:24 did he drop the heals off the edge on purpose for his team or by accident? He was pretty low
On purpose, he’s done it many times before and does it strategically
@@heisann8437 I figured, it's a good trick it just looked like he could've done with it himself that time:')
Overwatch at its prime was honestly one of the best moments in gaming history it’s sad to see where it is today
now its better than ever
@@LeGaLiZeDOOMz fax no more double tanks 😭
It could be in a much worse spot ... I don't think league is quite as huge, but the game is about as fun as it ever has been... (There's always at least 1 annoyingly op something...)
@@LeGaLiZeDOOMz no its worse, thats why its on a decline again, 5v5 was the shittiest thing they have done to the game.
@@aceofspadeswow cope
So basically overwatch esports is Korea simulator
i miss pine like, not cause the way he played/skill not suit with today's meta but, as an audience we need entertaining crazy player like he did
3:05 InternetHulk😭😭😭😭
Aww men i dont wanna cry again :c
04:41 Any REAL overwatch fans know that APEX seasons were the best in overwatch pro gaming history
True but I liked maybe a little bit more the APAC tournaments because it was the best of the west vs the best of the east.
Its was really good but i think season 1 of overwatch league was insane
I miss the days before brig and baptiste
It is really fun to watch, how creative players can be. My personal favourite is dafran grav and S4 widow
The Carpe + EQO 2v5 is incredible! Striker (on Pharah) played that so well, did all the right things and they were still wrecked! Excellent video overall :)
If that gladiator play is not first you have committed a sin.
Edit: Nice.
Yeah dude, exactly my thought during the whole video :D
You typed this comment and didn’t edit it... lmao
Lmao, you gotta edit the fucking comment, not just add ‘Edit’ when you type it out the first time.
You watched the video then did this, gotta edit it first xD
@@erikhjortsater5461 maybe he waited to post the comment until he had watched the video.. Jeez
I remember watching almost all of these live. Very nostalgic
I would’ve placed Zunba's zarya parkour at no. 1 or 2
I love that play!
Miss the good days of overwatch
Agreed, that move started a new era
pine, man, one of the most amazing players to play in OWL
I remember when Meta Athena burst onto the Apex scene. They went 21 matches without losing if I recall correctly.
The Zunba grav from the world cup better be here
Edit: Feelsgoodman
I love how many of these clips are NYXL, home team represent
내가 사랑했던 그 시절 그 게임이 여기있네...
havent played in like 5 years miss this game when it was at its peak, have no motivation to play it anymore
7:31 The best play of all time imo
My favorite play of all time was the shadowburn one on Dorado where he kills their entire team and deflects mcrees dead eye after dashing right up to his face
No AKM blade?
fuelsbadman
Man I miss overwatch one, this is so nostalgic. Jjonak will be the best zen play ever, and I still believe that to this day.
Damn where is FLOW3r’s widow play on hanamura in the World Cup
Dude I miss this overwatch so much
At first I thought Pine was insane enough, then I saw the clip of sayaplayer.
HOW ON EARTH CAN A MAN AIM LIKE A AIMROBOT ?!
It's simple. You just needed to be born in Korea
@@neur0n1x they are wired different with gaming it's crazy
The Korean casting is amazing for the play where Jehong nano boosts Tobi on point
0:46 Pine didn't do that to just any random bum, that's fucking striker on tracer. Arguably the greatest OWL tracer ever.
the good ol early days of overwatch. this really goes to show how much better the casual and pro scene are nowadays, when saya was doing godly things and jjonak was outdamaging others. these highlights are the norm in the pro scene now, but they still bring such nostalgic memories for us all.
there’s a lot of NYXL in this :)
That Gladiators play was my introduction to OW and boy is that a memorable one
8:43 sleeping on sofa. looks so comfortable.
On kaiser's play if you pay attention, Haksal goes deep on Janus to make him turn his shield around opening the shatter
Ah , I miss the golden age of overwatch. This was especially when the E-sports scene for overwatch was going wild. These guys actually motivated me to try at the game. Its sad how things have gone. Always hopes up for OW2 tho.
wdym? what happened? im new hehe
9 months later and were still prayin for ow2
2 yrs later and ow2 just sucks
wish we still had 2 tanks
Some of these clips are CRAZY
6 out of the 25 clips here are from NYXL, 3 from Jjonak and 3 from Pine specifically.
Oh, to reminisce the good old NYXL... such a fond memory for me. How I miss the old NYXL.
Look how far NYXL has fallen... their glory days will only remain as memories to me.
3:30 I mean jeez he just destroyed London’s backline with the sickest play ever
Great list but you're missing EQO's hero blade on Rialto! Had goosebumps watching that one
All of the NYXL plays here just shows how fucking amazing they were. Shock were methodical and precise with their wins, 4-0ing everything in their path, but NYXL just killed it with technical skill.
Bro OWL just aint the same man, the roars from the crowd hit different in these clips. Gives me chills everytime man, so awesome
I have a couple I think should be here
Taimous team kill on 1 HP
And the ice wall hananura attack
When a team teleported a bastion onto hananura point 2 high ground
And when they also did it onto illios well high ground
Architect chandelier bastion too
Anyone who watched Eye of the Kaiser live knows how significant that moment was. There is hardly a more emotional and epic moment than that play and that win...
Apex seasons 2 and 3 truly was the peak of competitive overwatch. I miss the days staying up late at night to watch those games live. Back when the only teams that mattered were LH, RunAway, KDP, LWB, and Meta Athena. Youd have Rogue or Envy come over and do pretty well early on against weaker teams but ultimately get stomped, unable to live up to their former glory. AF Blue being the most inconsistent team youve ever seen in your life (ARHAN LUL).
6:25 the genji
Haksal is a godlike genji
2:43 “jake misses the helix rocket” right after jake shot the ground to damage the genii behind cover lmao
I remember watching the OW finals in Brooklyn and it being so hype, seeing all these plays bring back so many good memories of playing back then :’)
I remember that last one with the widow switcheroo - one of my favourite surefour plays along with the one where he was the mei and they used her to sneak around to the cafe high ground on Hollywood A
man i miss liking overwatch
Yeah man...
Lunar colony has already become nostalgic to see lol
Three years later... ahh, the nostalgia
The comms in the Zunba clip are genuinely the best part out of that entire clip
1:39 THIS GUY 😂😂😂
my favorate match
1) shanghai destroyed goats
2) start of dive meta (apex s2 final)
3) eqo&carpe 2v5
4) fl0w3r's widow
5) the best tracer in the world sbb
tbh i think the best matches so far were all the s2,s3 and s4 apex grand finals and the contenders final between runaway and kongdoo panthera.
Hearing the commentators saying InternetHulk was such a hit of nostalgia and grief for me- I can’t believe it’s been 3 years of Overwatch and he’s still gone...
I miss OW1 those pine clips are so nostalgic
I was waiting for torbjorn nano boost to reliaze that the player name was tobi disappointed.
#1 well deserved, that play had everything.
Rewatching old clips just to feel young again.
2:45 "Misses the helix rocket"
Ikr, commentator clearly has no idea how splash damage works.
The number 2 play should not even be top 50 imo. Like, they could've just yknow, walked thru the building... Going over did nothing but waste Wall and Amp. But hey, good for them.
we all knew what number 1 was going to be
Prime NYXL days will never be topped in overwatch history, even the 2 peats legacy isn’t the same
Really miss the hype Overwatch has around this pro era
