    This was the perfect review for me because I just bought the Alienware on a whim seeing it go on sale for $500 and currently own the Asus you compared! I mostly game in the dark or very low light, so brightness isn't too big of a factor for me. Can't wait to get this beast in and get it integrated into the setup.

    Great review! IMO and at least for me, a bigger upgrade was, when I switch from 1080P to 1440P, if you have the hardware, of course. Once, you play on 1440P, you never go back 😁

    • @iJansport
      @iJansport ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what is the top 1440p that you recommend? i'm about to upgrade from a 1080 to a 4090 so i need a good monitor upgrade. i was looking at benq 1080p simply for the dyaq+, but increasing the resolution would be a welcome upgrade.

      @@iJansport I have the ASUS ROG XG27AQM (1440p up to 270hz). Still solid but meanwhile has older techs. But it's now more affordable.
      If budget is not a problem, then the Asus PG27AQN (1440p @360Hz) is IMO the best 1440p Monitor actually on the market.
      There are also 1440p-240Hz OLED monitor from Asus and LG. But I don't have experience in competitive gaming with OLED. OLED has pros and cons...

    I have this problem where when i have the hz on 480 or 500, when i click the windows button or alt+tab, it shows a black screen for a couple seconds then tabs, or goes to the window screen. But when i have it on 360 hz or lower, this problem isn't there. Do you know why this is or how to fix it?

    Would you say the difference in 2k hz vs 4khz polling rate is noticeable in a 165hz monitor? or even 1khz vs 4k

    Will the Alienware AW2524H get the new ULMB 2? The addition of this firmware would allow this monitor to reach its full potential. 1080p 500hz IPS ULMB 2 would be the best in the market today.

    I'm currently using a laptop (ROG Zephyrus M15 with RTX 2070 Max-Q) and also contemplating on picking up an external 240HZ monitor since my laptop screen is a bit small for competitive FPS. Maybe you could give me your insight if it would be too much load for the laptop if I were to plug a 240HZ monitor to it?

    • @AimAdapt
      @AimAdapt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would reccomend it as you can get those for cheap!

    This monitor has gsync chip or is gsync compatible?

  • @DaveAlkema

    Man, I watch all these reviews of high end monitors and feel like I need to upgrade my office monitor. It's a 21" HP 60hz monitor. The truth is, I just don't use my office for anything other than when I need to print something. I game on my TV, which is one of the nicest TV's for gaming (65" OLED, 120hz with gsync) so I really can't complain. Even if I had a higher refresh rate, I play Destiny 2, and on 4k with low settings I get between 150 and 170 fps. Going down to 1080p I only gain about 10fps, so I know I'm CPU limited more than anything, and I'm on a decent CPU (12th gen i7). I'd love to get a monitor like this one or the Asus 360hz, I just don't think I'd take advantage of it.
    Update on my mouse journey, I got the HTS+4k in. I had to flash some beta firmware on it that was only distributed to the Chinese markets because it was cutting out like crazy, and the beta firmware from their website broke wireless. With that Chinese beta software it runs great, but I found that I get hand cramps with longer gaming sessions, so I've gone back to maining the HTX. A couple of nights ago I had some drinks, and was browsing StockX and "accidentally" hit the buy button on a Razer Viper Mini SE. It's estimated to get here on June 20th, so I'll have that to play with as well!

      @AimAdapt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice you'll have to let me know how you feel about the Viper mini SE. Youll have to let me know how it goes. Thank you for keeping me updated with everything.
