Right now it’s in the same tier as Shining Fates and Paldean Fates. While CZ has more cooler cards imo, it doesn’t have a chase Zard you can pull. Hate English for putting the CZ Zards as promos.

Yeah I just bought a case of 3 pack blisters for crown zenith. Think that’s the way I’ll be investing in the set. 3 pack blisters tend to do well over time

It almost does not matter how crappy any of the S&V sets are, the gem rates are so low compared to those of the S&S sets, that all the S&V sealed product will likely perform very well… so stock up while the prices are still cheap.
It definitely matters how good the sets are. It doesn't really matter how hard it is to get a 10. More moonbreons than charizards but yet still more popular. Also the sir are extensive easy to grade. Only some of the illustration rares are hard to grade
My problem is i cant buy a pokemon product and keep it sealed. If im buying it im opening it. I love the rush from opening up some packs and getting a banger.

Your twilight masquerade rating is way off. You cant rank a set based on the few cards with bad art. That greninja is the most expensive chase in the entire generation. Ill give you a pass since this video is over a month old lol

Twilight is a good set to invest in has the biggest price chase card of scarlet violet plus a lot of people ripping to collect and will be a set people will want to chase like 151
Another overlooked card in Paldea Evolved is the Heracross IR. I know a ton of folks who’s favorite pokemon is heracross and he’s a solid Gen 2 pokemon. Unless it has a massive reprint, I think it’ll be one of the best SV sets for the nostalgia factor
Print run doesn't matter as long as there is demand, and CZ is probably the best set of all time. It will fly down the road, just give it a bit of patience. Also the hit rate reminds me of Legendary Treasures, which everyone still remember for exactly that. Thats a big green light for me
I think the Groudon illustration rare is going be the next card to take off in price. I won't be surprised if it hits 75-100 in the next 6 months. I also think that Chansey card from Twilight Masquerade is going to be a surprise hit.
For sure. I made a video like a week ago about all the cards that are going to boom. Both of those are on the list. I like the groudon way more then tyranitar but it's way easier to grade the groundon
Fusion Strike has such a great lineup of pulls in hindsight, even though I didn't like it when it first released. The major issue with the set is how low the pullrates are, which may result in products with a higher concentration of the packs to increase in price more than products with less packs. Bought a Booster Box with some store credit from a colletors store I frequent to keep sealed (even if my urge to open it to see if I get the 1/10000 hit of Espeon Vmax alt is strong lol)
Good ranking The more time goes by the more i actually like scarlet violet sets. If the big hits arent to easy to get then Sv can actually be one of the best eras i think
Totally agree the illustration rares should be higher rated. Those cards are the main reason i want twilight masquerade, i actually want to get the singles if the set doesnt blow up so fingers crossed they dont sky rocket
About 1/3th of my collection is lost origin. Been buying it since it came out and 1/3th of my collection is crown zenith because it's in my opinion the most fun set to open EVER
Yeah... however, the art rares in Twilight Masquerade are absolutely fantastic, and we still have a popular pokemon in greninja, plus the trainer SAR's in Twilight Masquerade are some of the best we've seen so far, like there's just a lot of variety. I agree that the ogerpon cards are a little underwhelming but we haven't even seen the english cards in person, so it's kind of hard to judge something based on practically nothing. either than that, this is a really cool video! I agree that paradox rift is underrated
The upcoming english 151 restock will be interesting. Might get super cheap. I only invested in german (small hope no reprint) and in japanese displays...lets see

Agree with most , I think Darkness ablaze to the garbage, and shining fates (most printed set), I think battle styles I’d put up a level, then temporal forces I’d put in invest in box only, swap evolving skies with brilliant stars, and crown zenith with fusion strike. I would not put SV base that high either but these are all minor things and opinions, who knows . But valid stuff man, I like the takes on the market.

Just invest all the money on 151, best set ever printed, awesome IR and SIR + only set to have all the OG 151 in order till now and probably ever... the Japanese is really "cheap" too rn as they have just reprinted it.
Solid ranking. Im curious to see whay happens with Twighlight M. There are a few cool cards in there, and japanese collectors are snapping them up. Battle styles is a great sleeper set, i hope it hits $250 down the road, even if it takes a while
Agree with most other then TM, I think the art is fantastic on the illustration rares, and the geometric style on others is really cool. 151 is still the best art though.

I think it bolsters the set as a whole, plus the SIRs art is still really good. It's the gold cards that are awful in this one 😅

Your take on kids aged 8 to 13 and their view on SV couldn't be more spot on. My 6 yr old daughter gets bored looking at her mothers Base master set, but can't get enough of my Paldea Evolved binder. That and Scarlet and Violet just became the 3rd highest grossing pokemon game of all time. I know where my 401k money is going.....
Great Video! Only one i didn't agree with was twilight masquerade, that set will do very well long term - It's already hard to find booster boxes in stores and the Greninja is +$300 CAD raw
I had no idea people were gonna manipulate the market with the greninja and half the people fall for it like sheep. I still haven't heard 1 person say it's their favorite card for S&V.
I actually like when SIRs are less cool than normal Illustration rares, if you look at something like Giovanni's Charisma from 151 it seems like they made the best SIR and haven't even tried with the IR,the other way around would have made more sense, the more rare one will be a chase anyway, why not show love to more fans?
Also the evolving skies Pokemon center etb with the eviloution on it is expensive but it’s a beautiful box to add to the collection and I’m positive a crispy sealed box would be good to invest in 💯
I think TM will be better than people think. Personally i think the Greninja looks great. It is quite hard to judge a few of the SV sets until we have the full era to reflect on. A lot of people slept on CR and FS until very recently. I think the same will happen with likes of TF and TM.
I was very interested in the Paradox Rift cards like a month ago, ended up buying two etbs and two booster boxes. What I got was complete garbage. Idk if I just got super unlucky or if the pull ratio is just bad with this set, but out of 88 packs the most expensive card I got was the Iron Hands ex (223/182, the full art with the blue background, not the one of him going through walls). A $13 card out of 88 packs. Don't get me wrong, I liked the full arts that I did pull and I wasn't expecting to make money. But including every single card I got from those packs (common, uncommon that definitely won't sell at tcg prices) I received cards worth half of what those sealed boxes are worth.

Like I said, I wasn't going into this expecting to make money, and I enjoy opening packs so I figured I would try it out. But I found out very quickly that it seems like a waste of time and money to buy and open them. To the point where I'm already considering quitting and getting rid of everything I bought after like two months. I didn't really think that far ahead - I figured I would try to collect one of every card in the series (maybe not all the alt art cards, would have to buy those directly), but now I'm stuck with a crap ton of common and uncommon duplicates that I have no idea what to do with and very few rare pulls. The etbs were almost complete garbage - one was literally $5 in cards. Was buying the boxes on facebook marketplace, keep looking at cards but it seems like a waste of time and gas to drive around to buy singles. Shipping cards is a toss up on quality, damage during shipping, and scams. The one convention I went to every card I checked was over tcg prices. I just.... don't know where to go with collecting
@kevz1363 This is the best way to collect. Buy a box or 2 to open when the newest set comes out. Then buy singles on ebay. You don't need to worry about being scammed on ebay. Look at all the newest sets and figure out the type of cards you want to collect. Don't try to collect everything. So like Special illustration rares or gold cards or whatever.
You do know value wise paldea evolved beats temporal forces and the set came out a long time ago. Temporal forces is pure Gen 9 with some remakes of popular pokemon that a lot of people actually hate.
My criteria for investing: 1. Does it have the most loved pokemon? 2. Does it have multiple chases? 3. Waifus bonus? 4. Special set or regular set? 5. If it checks all these boxes, case BB, Case PC ETB, or if you don't have that type of money, BB, Sleeved boosters, PC ETB.
I think the issue i have with lost, cz, and brilliant to a lesser extent is everyone is doing those plays. Good sets but almost to much supply for the demand especially cz. With what heppene with fusion and chilling people wernt ready but the other two people saw coming. I still think the plays are paldea, paradox, temporal, fusion, silver and to a lesser extent and brilliant. But in the long run most of these will do well.
I kept the 3 Evolving Skies packs sealed that came in the Charizard UPC. Not even worth opening for the slim chance of the ultimate chase card.. not at $25 a pack lmao.
Personally every new set right now I would just buy a case of since you can currently get a case of twilight, rift and temp forces for like $700… A CASE!! Fast forward 2-3 years and each set will have exploded to $200-$300 a box and ppl will be scrambling for cash to get their hands on it

In a scarlet and violet pack, I got an illustration rare Greavard 214/198 and Ultra Rare Miraidon 227/198 both back to back, in one pack. I know they’re not worth much but I’ve just started collecting Pokémon again. I’m 33 yrs old and remember all the cards I USED to have. I’ve had Pokémon, digemon, you-gi-oh cards. I don’t have a lot of $ but I do buy single booster packs. Any advice? Should I waist money on individual boosters?

I really liked this presentation. I think you should do it monthly. Every time you talk about twilight mascarade, I start laughing because I can tell you passionately dislike the set. I really hope I can save some money soon to buy a case of the Paldea evolved before it goes higher. I know there will be a reprint but people want to buy first print of items and if I can get them at 100 a box or lower, it’s perfect.

My brother in chirst. Look at the 20th anniversary generations set and tell Me why they were going for $800 a both when celebrations was out. Those boxes are $600 today. Pokemon is wild theres things that you can predict like evolving skies because the set is killer. And then Theres sets like evolutions and generations which go up but the sets are nothing to write home about
@@userofsharingan I don't know where you're getting your prices from but the #2 card isn't $15. Charizard is $60, flareon is $40, sylveon is $30, gardevoir, pikachu and the other sylveon are $20. I also don't know what point you're trying to make.
Considering every single S/V booster box is under 100 bucks, excluding paldea, snagging a box of any of them will return profit and hold value. Look at sword and shield, most boxes were selling under 100 when they were releasing, and they’ve SKYROCKETED since. I’m a sealed collector myself, and even though I enjoyed opening sw/sh more, as a sealed collector i think S/V will hold more value overtime because there’s just SO MUCH to pull in comparison
Celebrations was really fun to set collect at the time it came out and I really thought it would have some investment power but my thoughts on that set have changed dramatically especially after everything you mentioned....with that ugly Pikachu symbol it feels like a Mcdonalds set to me now Lol

You can get both Japanese boxes for $40 a box. Japanese collectors aren't going crazy for this set

Your take on kids aged 8 to 13 and their view on SV couldn't be more spot on.
My 6 yr old daughter gets bored looking at her mothers Base master set, but can't get enough of my Paldea Evolved binder.
That and Scarlet and Violet just became the 3rd highest grossing pokemon game of all time.

Great Video! Only one i didn't agree with was twilight masquerade, that set will do very well long term - It's already hard to find booster boxes in stores and the Greninja is +$300 CAD raw
I had no idea people were gonna manipulate the market with the greninja and half the people fall for it like sheep. I still haven't heard 1 person say it's their favorite card for S&V.

I actually like when SIRs are less cool than normal Illustration rares, if you look at something like Giovanni's Charisma from 151 it seems like they made the best SIR and haven't even tried with the IR,the other way around would have made more sense, the more rare one will be a chase anyway, why not show love to more fans?
Also the evolving skies Pokemon center etb with the eviloution on it is expensive but it’s a beautiful box to add to the collection and I’m positive a crispy sealed box would be good to invest in 💯
Definitely a solid box. It will just take a bit of time to sell compared to a regular etb.

I think TM will be better than people think. Personally i think the Greninja looks great. It is quite hard to judge a few of the SV sets until we have the full era to reflect on. A lot of people slept on CR and FS until very recently. I think the same will happen with likes of TF and TM.
Recently made $35k profit in a flip of Chilling Reign/Fusion Strike. Paid $67 a box back when it was over printed.

I was very interested in the Paradox Rift cards like a month ago, ended up buying two etbs and two booster boxes. What I got was complete garbage. Idk if I just got super unlucky or if the pull ratio is just bad with this set, but out of 88 packs the most expensive card I got was the Iron Hands ex (223/182, the full art with the blue background, not the one of him going through walls). A $13 card out of 88 packs. Don't get me wrong, I liked the full arts that I did pull and I wasn't expecting to make money. But including every single card I got from those packs (common, uncommon that definitely won't sell at tcg prices) I received cards worth half of what those sealed boxes are worth.
@@kevz1363 don't ever open boxes expecting to even come close to making your money back. You could have bought every good card in the entire set
@@PokeBeardTCG I am just getting back into collecting, started a month or two ago, so I don't know a whole lot about how a lot of this works. Like I said, I wasn't going into this expecting to make money, and I enjoy opening packs so I figured I would try it out. But I found out very quickly that it seems like a waste of time and money to buy and open them. To the point where I'm already considering quitting and getting rid of everything I bought after like two months. I didn't really think that far ahead - I figured I would try to collect one of every card in the series (maybe not all the alt art cards, would have to buy those directly), but now I'm stuck with a crap ton of common and uncommon duplicates that I have no idea what to do with and very few rare pulls. The etbs were almost complete garbage - one was literally $5 in cards. Was buying the boxes on facebook marketplace, keep looking at cards but it seems like a waste of time and gas to drive around to buy singles. Shipping cards is a toss up on quality, damage during shipping, and scams. The one convention I went to every card I checked was over tcg prices. I just.... don't know where to go with collecting
@kevz1363 This is the best way to collect. Buy a box or 2 to open when the newest set comes out. Then buy singles on ebay. You don't need to worry about being scammed on ebay. Look at all the newest sets and figure out the type of cards you want to collect. Don't try to collect everything. So like Special illustration rares or gold cards or whatever.
I love Celebrations but I do wish they did what they did for 151 with that set

I believe Temporal Forces and 151 will be the best S&V sets in the future.
You do know value wise paldea evolved beats temporal forces and the set came out a long time ago. Temporal forces is pure Gen 9 with some remakes of popular pokemon that a lot of people actually hate.
My criteria for investing: 1. Does it have the most loved pokemon? 2. Does it have multiple chases? 3. Waifus bonus? 4. Special set or regular set? 5. If it checks all these boxes, case BB, Case PC ETB, or if you don't have that type of money, BB, Sleeved boosters, PC ETB.

I think the issue i have with lost, cz, and brilliant to a lesser extent is everyone is doing those plays. Good sets but almost to much supply for the demand especially cz. With what heppene with fusion and chilling people wernt ready but the other two people saw coming. I still think the plays are paldea, paradox, temporal, fusion, silver and to a lesser extent and brilliant. But in the long run most of these will do well.

Personally every new set right now I would just buy a case of since you can currently get a case of twilight, rift and temp forces for like $700… A CASE!! Fast forward 2-3 years and each set will have exploded to $200-$300 a box and ppl will be scrambling for cash to get their hands on it

In a scarlet and violet pack, I got an illustration rare Greavard 214/198 and Ultra Rare Miraidon 227/198 both back to back, in one pack. I know they’re not worth much but I’ve just started collecting Pokémon again. I’m 33 yrs old and remember all the cards I USED to have. I’ve had Pokémon, digemon, you-gi-oh cards. I don’t have a lot of $ but I do buy single booster packs. Any advice? Should I waist money on individual boosters?

I really liked this presentation. I think you should do it monthly. Every time you talk about twilight mascarade, I start laughing because I can tell you passionately dislike the set. I really hope I can save some money soon to buy a case of the Paldea evolved before it goes higher. I know there will be a reprint but people want to buy first print of items and if I can get them at 100 a box or lower, it’s perfect.

And then Theres sets like evolutions and generations which go up but the sets are nothing to write home about
Everything in pokemon did that. It was the boom. Generations is a great set.

@@userofsharingan I don't know where you're getting your prices from but the #2 card isn't $15. Charizard is $60, flareon is $40, sylveon is $30, gardevoir, pikachu and the other sylveon are $20. I also don't know what point you're trying to make.
Considering every single S/V booster box is under 100 bucks, excluding paldea, snagging a box of any of them will return profit and hold value.
Look at sword and shield, most boxes were selling under 100 when they were releasing, and they’ve SKYROCKETED since. I’m a sealed collector myself, and even though I enjoyed opening sw/sh more, as a sealed collector i think S/V will hold more value overtime because there’s just SO MUCH to pull in comparison
Celebrations was really fun to set collect at the time it came out and I really thought it would have some investment power but my thoughts on that set have changed dramatically especially after everything you mentioned....with that ugly Pikachu symbol it feels like a Mcdonalds set to me now Lol
