Dr Paul, I had an A-Ha moment while watching this video. I’ve been drinking so much heavily filtered reverse-osmosis water for years and have never remineralized it. I realized after I was prescribed Lasix for water retention that I wasn’t getting any electrolytes in my water so the gallons of water I was drinking was not getting into my cells and my body was retaining it. I took a lot of electrolytes and my problem was solved. Thank you. ❤ 💋

One of the healthiest things you do in your house is having the windows open. I started a business this year to help people do a lot of the things you are doing. The biggest thing in my area in Florida making people sick are VOC’s in their home because they don’t get hardly any fresh air into their homes. 3 1/2 years ago my house made me sick from high VOC’s. In our very humid climate the prescription for that is to minimize the indoor pollution you are making and add fresh, filtered air and a sante fe dehumidifier. A portable window system with dehumidifier also work. Bottom line is we need fresh air to get the toxic load off our body. You’d be amazed how many homes here also have the garage air directly connected to the home’s air and so they have gasoline and chemicals in the body any time they’re home!!!
Thank you!! I’m in miami and the humidity grows mold within a few days if I leave window open. What Dante fe do you use and how do you do the window dehumidifiers? Thanks!

As much as I want to like the guy, he just says too many things I disagree with. Wooden cutting boards went out of favor because they absorb liquid, and can hold bacteria. Plastic cutting boards have drawbacks as well. Will glass cutting boards be the next big thing? He says Fuji apples are the only ones anyone should ever eat, and if you disagree, you are crazy. Hi Paul, I'm Alessandro, I'm 20 yrs old from Italy and I feel the same way you do about mostly everything you do, I'm triyng to add the fundations to my life, now that I'm young, so when I'll be a bit holder like you I will conduct a life like that. Do not feel lonely if you do, it's a difficult lifestyle, mostly because people seeing such "abnormal" lifestyle will judge you without thinking or even admiring a bit the effort you put into it. Don't ever give up please, I really appreciate what you do. (Probably one day we'll be collegues? My life is a mix between You, Ben Patrick, Wim Hof, Sportacus and Goggins, and like them I wanna help people to live better) PS IKEA sells glass cointeiners with bamboo top with a silicone seal and they're cheap. GRAZIE PAOLO❤❤
Love it. My wife is ALL IN on the "crunchy mamma" vibe. It's great to see the manly/masculine presentation of very similar ideas but in very different way. Thanks!
Soy de Costa Rica y me siento muy feliz que te guste vivir aquí. Me encanta todo lo que muestras y compartes. Hago algunas de esas cosas, pero me falta mucho todavía.
also you save so much money by buying durable things. plastic get's icky and distorts it's shape , and you have to throw it away NOT SO with glass and metal ( not aluminium i hope?)
How do you store your meat in the freezer? I'm currently using freezer bags but now I'm considering using a glass container with sheets of food safe silicone in between each piece of meat to keep them from sticking to each other. I know that food safe silicone might still not be a good choice but what could be a better choice? I want use something that food safe, reusable, and easy to clean. The only other thing I could think of is to use banana leaves. They might last a few uses before you have to throw them out but they're cheap when you have to replace them.

The problem with that is that the contacts come in a plastic package, so yeah, if you don’t have dailies (one time use), you can store them in a non-plastic container until you discard them. But they might still contain some plastic from the original packaging.
Ummm, almost all contact lenses are made of plastic, polymer, silicone, etc.. If you're that Gung ho antiplastic why not wear wire frame glasses instead of contacts? Ya won't look as purdy but.....
Hey Paul, big fan, but aren't the membranes and filters of a reverse osmosis system made out of plastic? I get that everything gets filtered out, but don't the plastic filters add microplastics to the water? Thanks, also, great video!
as far as i know reverse osmosis filters are made from polyester, i prefer to use a gravity fed water filter system that is composed of two stainless steel sections, you fill the top, it filters through ceramic filters containing activated carbon inside from coconut hulls, then drips into the bottom stainless section when it's purified. these filters are just as effective as reverse osmosis, but have the benefit of being cleaner, no plastic, and require no power or water pressure to operate, and leaving beneficial minerals in the water.
Thanks for pointing out the baking soda as a tooth paste being too erosive. I do not use regular toothpaste but I use baking soda. So, from now on I will just brush without anything.
I’m a retired hygienist- baking soda is fine for teeth. Just likely coat your toothbrush. I’ve used it for years and my teeth are very healthy. Mainstream toothpaste is super abrasive comparatively. If they were so bad, no one would have enamel in the western world…logic and reason, hopefully Saladino will stop speaking on topics he has no expertise in.

Mineral oil still the best choice for conditioning your boards. Tallow will go rancid over time, especially in a warm, humid environment like Costa Rica. Might want to rethink that one.
@@KORTOKtheSTRONG Not exactly. Food-grade mineral oil is designed to be non-toxic and passes through the body without being absorbed or causing harm, so it won't bioaccumulate from incidental ingestion. So as long as you're letting it completely soak in and wiping off any excess, you're totally fine.
My Dad is an electrician, and he would agree that the internet is not good for us, and he likes to shut his off when he's not using it. We also unplug all non-essential electronics. Not only does it make it darker in the house, but the noise of the electrical current is less when less is plugged in. Unfortunately, we still need to keep the fridge plugged in and the AC since we live in S. AZ. I think I'll try that fridge light idea, even though I don't go into my fridge during sleep-time. Right before bed, my 9 year old will sometimes want a drink.
A lot of good hints to use. Shower with baking soda and apple cider vinegar and no chemical shampoo. You can make or possibly buy a natural Olive Oil Soap
Dalan olive soap doesn't shred residue and pieces as much as other brands like kiss my face, but the citronella content might not be good except to try to repel mosquitoes. Some essential oils are estrogenic like lavender and tea tree, and possibly mint and citronella.
Wifi is definetely a stressor. People just don't realize that because you get used to symptoms and you don't know what is causing it, and on top of that "they" tell us "it's perfectly safe because it's not ionizing radiation", yea right... --- I found that out when I replaced my wifi unit with new more powerful one and immediately I and wife got headaches (I never have headaches). --- It took me couple of days to realize what was going on, but we both felt something was stressing us. So when I figured out what it was, I did what you did, shut down wifi and put cables around the house. Now we have wifi free house and no more headaches. Of course different people will respond differently, some get headaches, some have trouble sleeping, some get anxiety, adhd etc. nervous system based symptoms which are so prevalent because we have so much EMF radiation compared to 20 years ago.

When I did research on the "baking soda tooth enamal" issue I came up with conflicting evidence. Such as this: Baking soda has a low level of abrasiveness and can remove stains from the surface of your teeth. Baking soda not only prevents tooth decay but also helps remineralize your enamel. Baking soda can also limit plaque buildup by neutralizing plaque acids. Many kinds of toothpaste contain baking soda to help clean teeth more effectively and protect against plaque. ~Smiles by Design, PLC More: Baking soda is one of the least abrasive of teeth cleaning substances according to the American Dental Association Relative Dentin Abrasivity Scale, so it shouldn't have a negative effect on enamel and it doesn't seem to. I'm still using only baking soda, brushing my teeth right now in fact! Common DIY tooth powder ingredients: How do you make homemade tooth powder with baking soda? 1 Tablespoons Baking Soda. 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon. 1 Tablespoon Xylitol. 10 - 15 drops of essential oil Bentonite clay powder- 1 tbsp Calcium powder- 1 tbsp Baking soda- 1 tbsp Sea salt/Himalayan Rock salt finely ground- 1 tsp Clove powder- 1 tsp Neem powder- 1 tsp Mint powder- 1 tsp There are numerous recipes available to make your own tooth powder at home, here is one simple recipe with minimal ingredients used.

Paul seems like a really chill guy I love these videos, you can learn a lot
Hope the content is helpful 💪🙏
Yes he does seem like a real gentleman.
The day Paul says seed oils are okay I know the government took him..
did he say that in here?
As much as I want to like the guy, he just says too many things I disagree with.
Wooden cutting boards went out of favor because they absorb liquid, and can hold bacteria.
Plastic cutting boards have drawbacks as well.
Will glass cutting boards be the next big thing?
He says Fuji apples are the only ones anyone should ever eat, and if you disagree, you are crazy.
I start watching his videos, then get turned-off EVERY TIME!
Enjoy the waves in Costa Rica bud.
@@OkaybobHe explains very clearly that he seasons his cutting boards with tallow to lock out moisture and prevent mold and bacteria
@@ItsBrookeOlivia Yeah i don't think this Okaybob guy listens properly, maybe he has ADD ?

They DO make glass lid containers, they are the Pyrex ultimate glass collection!!!
My glass containers have wooden lids.
Thank you for sharing
I admire your courage to speak about some of these subjects! 17 years I’ve been practicing nutritional wellness and keeping a plastic free kitchen. You’ve helped me realize that I still have some hidden plastics in my kitchen to replace!
I store my leftovers in vintage Pyrex casserole dishes so even the lids are glass. 👍🏻 It’s not an airtight seal, but leftovers don’t last long in my house.
After watching this, you have inspired me so much.. to live a healthier life and get rid of things in my home. I am on a journey to detox my home from everything toxic. You are so disciplined and inspiring the way you live life, I definitely look up to you and loveee your videos! Please make more videos of explaining which veggies are better than others. Thankyou!
My life is a mix between You, Ben Patrick, Wim Hof, Sportacus and Goggins, and like them I wanna help people to live better)
PS
IKEA sells glass cointeiners with bamboo top with a silicone seal and they're cheap.
GRAZIE PAOLO❤❤
i have no plastics in my house and follow your advice 💯 %. Thank you for all you do! ❤
My mother always hated plastics.
Even being very simple, and i inherited that.
I never thought about toothbrush, thanks for the advice
Love that these videos bring together a community of like minded people glad to have more content form Paul!
Love it. My wife is ALL IN on the "crunchy mamma" vibe. It's great to see the manly/masculine presentation of very similar ideas but in very different way. Thanks!
You're a lucky man
This video makes me realise how far and how much I have to learn to give my body the best chance of a long life.
Soy de Costa Rica y me siento muy feliz que te guste vivir aquí. Me encanta todo lo que muestras y compartes. Hago algunas de esas cosas, pero me falta mucho todavía.
Loved this video! Would love more like this with just general hacks and ways to live clean and healthy
I’ve heard tallow is not best for seasoning cutting boards. It eventually goes rancid. Use filtered coconut oil
I've been patiently waiting for this for so long! I also can't wait til he has kids. He'll be such a great dad!
also you save so much money by buying durable things. plastic get's icky and distorts it's shape , and you have to throw it away NOT SO with glass and metal ( not aluminium i hope?)
I'm sorry you have to defend yourself around comments from others. I appreciate the information you share, thank you!
Really enjoyed to see how simple and minimalistic your lifestyle is. Inspiring!
Anyone else just super stressed out all the time now about all these awful things we’re exposed to on a a daily basis while just wanting to live and enjoy life without having to worry about every single thing we do 🤣😭

Paul, it would be great if you would post a list (name/maker) of the products you show in this video so we can also buy them

U can use rock salt and half lemon to scrub that butcher block😊
New to your channel. I love these types of videos. I am so glad I saw this. Thank you for doing this.
As an additional soap alternative adding castor oil and baking diy paste is great. It can be used as toothpaste as well
Ball glass containers with steel lids at Walmart are wonderful.
the container for the contact lenses solution is made of plastic
that’s plastic going in your eyes 😂
98.9% perfect paul
i’m onto you
Yeah bro get a glass contact case. Do u even care about microplastics
The problem with that is that the contacts come in a plastic package, so yeah, if you don’t have dailies (one time use), you can store them in a non-plastic container until you discard them. But they might still contain some plastic from the original packaging.
He said try to reduce using plastics as much as possible.
Ummm, almost all contact lenses are made of plastic, polymer, silicone, etc.. If you're that Gung ho antiplastic why not wear wire frame glasses instead of contacts? Ya won't look as purdy but.....
Contact lenses are made of pfas!
Thank you for showing us all these helpful stuff. It's an eye opener.
Amazing!!! I love the excitement in your voice and good energy!
Thank you for all you do, it helps people make better healthy choices ❤
very nice home...stay lifted
Coconut oil, lye and water for soap/body wash. Easy to make. We drop a whole homegrown loofah into the loaf mold and slice.
Hey Paul, big fan, but aren't the membranes and filters of a reverse osmosis system made out of plastic? I get that everything gets filtered out, but don't the plastic filters add microplastics to the water? Thanks, also, great video!
What is the answer then?
I’m wondering the same thing
Imagine the cost of some aluminum type filters or what ever made of 😢
@@MiniPix0 There is no answer.
as far as i know reverse osmosis filters are made from polyester, i prefer to use a gravity fed water filter system that is composed of two stainless steel sections, you fill the top, it filters through ceramic filters containing activated carbon inside from coconut hulls, then drips into the bottom stainless section when it's purified. these filters are just as effective as reverse osmosis, but have the benefit of being cleaner, no plastic, and require no power or water pressure to operate, and leaving beneficial minerals in the water.
I also sometimes use the wrapper from a 500g block of butter as a buffer between the cooked food in the glass container and its plastic lid,
Thanks for pointing out the baking soda as a tooth paste being too erosive.
@@cynthiahelmich3762 Thank you for this info. Appreciate it.
you can use salt and a half a lemon on wood cutting boards. also season with mineral oil.
Can you share the name and place you bought your Grill? Great video, so helpful. My favorite type of videos besides the Costco/Trader Joe grocery ones, ha. Take Care!
Same. I’ve seen others on TH-cam with them like Shawn Baker but I have no idea what they are called and I can’t find them on Amazon!?
It's a Schwank Infrared Ceramic
Most of these things are where done like that in the household I grew up so They are kind of normal for me. But for most people it isn't
Mineral oil still the best choice for conditioning your boards. Tallow will go rancid over time, especially in a warm, humid environment like Costa Rica. Might want to rethink that one.
mineral oil bioaccumulates
Crazy is awesome! The no wifi is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing, we so appreciate your work!
tbh i really like how you live your life and crazy how you have a beautiful place to live in one of the tropical places.
---
I found that out when I replaced my wifi unit with new more powerful one and immediately I and wife got headaches (I never have headaches).
---
It took me couple of days to realize what was going on, but we both felt something was stressing us. So when I figured out what it was, I did what you did, shut down wifi and put cables around the house. Now we have wifi free house and no more headaches. Of course different people will respond differently, some get headaches, some have trouble sleeping, some get anxiety, adhd etc. nervous system based symptoms which are so prevalent because we have so much EMF radiation compared to 20 years ago.
i only buy vodka now in glass bottles!
I have heard that a cup of apple cider vinegar in two litres of water can also clean herbicides and pesticides off the surface of fruit too.

Another plastic people don't realize is our clothing. Most of our clothing is made of plastic, natrual fibers are best.
Agreed! I only wear clothes made with 100% cotton or wool
@@Paulsaladinomd Linen is best brother :)
Can you share the details on this grill please 🙏 brand/model - where to buy
@@Paulsaladinomd unfortunately, cotton is one of the most heavily treated products with toxic chemicals, which cannot be washed out, regardless of how many times you launder the clothes. And that’s why I’ve been buying GOTS certified organic clothing, but the options and styles are still limited.
~Smiles by Design, PLC
More: Baking soda is one of the least abrasive of teeth cleaning substances according to the American Dental Association Relative Dentin Abrasivity Scale, so it shouldn't have a negative effect on enamel and it doesn't seem to.
10 - 15 drops of essential oil
Bentonite clay powder- 1 tbsp Calcium powder- 1 tbsp Baking soda- 1 tbsp Sea salt/Himalayan Rock salt finely ground- 1 tsp Clove powder- 1 tsp Neem powder- 1 tsp Mint powder- 1 tsp There are numerous recipes available to make your own tooth powder at home, here is one simple recipe with minimal ingredients used.

He wears one pair of tennis shoes made of leather. He also has leather dress shoes. One thing he doesnt mention much..is that is he is also, by default, a minimalist. Once you go on this journey, you'll realize just how much stuff you own that's worthless. You have hundreds of plastic pieces of junk. But when you switch to glass...you use a lot less.
