Throughout my 20's all I heard was, "women prefer men in their 30's". Now, while I'm in my 30's I hear that. I feel ripped off and I want my money back.
Not having your shit together is not a problem for a women who want real relationship. The issue is, that a lot of younger men are students, living off their parents and partying every week. That is not attractive. Working in mc donalds and not planning to better your financial situation is not attractive either. But if a young fella is not a party animal, is trying to better his life then women will be attracted to him.
Tell that to my boss 😂 I used to earn $3,000 per month. Now I only get around $2,000 even though I'm working longer shifts than before 🙄 (I work in healthcare)
@@user-yb6tk1ru6xIt can be a societal pressure as well, there are cases in which women are pressured to find partners who are older than them and some people simply go after money not to form any deeper connections (let alone having a family). So it's not very plausible to think it can be the result of only one reason, or that reasoning is the actual one for everyone. And it's even less logical to jump into conclusions about women or their choices when it comes to choosing a partner by looking at only one study.
So true, I think men are most attractive when they grow out of that kid phase and really grow into themselves as a man usually around 25ish + then continued attractiveness after that depends on the individual. I agree greatly depends on health & fitness! 27 is not old for the market. Plenty of older men and women single and looking in their 30s+
This is actually such a relief because I kept thinking where on earth are all these women coming out saying they like old men? 😂 It's pretty obvious visually and biologically that men in their 20s are the most attractive, with very very few exceptions.
Because it's not just about looks, societal factors are involved as well. Woman dating for looks is DUMB, usually a mix of character, well established financially and maturity are factors that make a man suitable, that's why they're only able to reach that at certain age and that is beyond their 30s in men I also disagree, some men look too childish when they're young and over time they look better. Same with ladies. It's all different depending on each person

I like that you mentioned the contrasting study at the end. However, I'm surprised you didn't mention a 3rd study that adds context and may explain the "seemingly" contrasting research findings. I once read a study that said women prefer older men (up until the women reach 40 years of age themselves than they prefer younger men). However, the distinction the research showed was that unlike men regardless of age, when most women say they prefer an older or younger partner, they usually mean a man with a 3-to-5 years age difference max! To a 20 or 30 years old women, a man who is 23 or 33 is OLDER! It was men and NOT women and NOT science who started the whole myth about 20 years old women desiring 40~50 years old men. I assure you most women are disgusted with the thought of dating a man, their father, and grandfather's age.
Yes! And this is so obvious if you’ve ever been a young woman or have ever had young female friends. A young woman who dates an older man (“older” can even mean 30s if the woman is early 20s) will get mocked by her friends for it. Im now 34, and I’ve been seeing a 41 y/o, which is something that feels more normal the older you get - I’m more flexible with age-ranges bc we’re all adults. But I have a few female friends in their early 20s, and the reaction to them finding out he’s in his 40s is “what??!” with borderline disgust. With very few exceptions, young women are NOT into significantly older men.
Personally, maybe cause I'm younger, as in being an older teen, I prefer "boys" over men. It might be just me, but I like boyish, younger looks than perfectly chiseled, hypermasculine features.
@@elainez of course you do. Some teenage girls have a crush on older men like a teacher a coach or stg, but it's almost never because of that men's look... Almost every woman prefer men closer to her age or younger.

People keep saying men age like wine but I've never found that to be the case in reality. This saying just seems like a mass psychosis to me at this point.
Only men that take care of themself are attractive when they are older. But majority of people do not care to hit the gym, take care of their skin/teeth/hair when they are certain age.
yeah if u dont take good care of your physical health then you don't age like fine wine i guess. I knew a lot of men drink a lot and never workout or eat a healthy diet and now they ugly
Thank you!!! I've been saying this for a long time. Everytime an old guy says women find older men attractive, I'm like 🤢 "No, bro, she wants your money and security."
Well, not true for all women. Some of us find older men more attractive. I never been attracted to men who are around my age and definitely I would never ever sleep with them…
The biggest lie society ever sold to women was that men look better with age, thankfully I never bought into it bc I have eyes and good vision 😂 I don’t know ONE woman who thinks Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp look better now than when they were young 😂
Obviously men peak in their 20s, I've been saying this forever and even my mum at age 60 agrees. It's honestly a bit ridiculous how men have to glorify signs of aging as rising attraktiveness. I can see that while attractiveness may generally decline as we age, different and more important and even much more attractive traits take place, such as wisdom or true confidence.
Late 20s? Anyway, there is data indicating it depends on the woman's age herself Understanding the Impact of Aging on Attractiveness Using a Machine Learning Model of Facial Age Progression The above study also shows that attractiveness rating doesn't drop much for men until their 50s
@TheEsoteofricProgrammer of course there is way more! But it's not true that women do not pay attention to looks. We do. A lot. It's just we are more likely to pretend to not see some "flaws" when overall human is awesome.
Ditto. I used to hate having a babyface when i was younger but now as i’m turning 30 this year i’ve grown (no pun intended) to appreciate my youthful looks
lol same. I thought I looked childish in early 20s. Though my high cheekbones and jawline are seen, now my facial structure looks more defined but am just a bit “fatter” and got abit longer
Don't get me wrong but a single woman at the age of 33 is essentially useless. Women need to understand that once they become less fertile they also become less attractive. If women put carrier over family, they will die lonely. Facts.
I never believed it. One thing men get made fun of for is balding. That makes a man look older. If it were an attractive trait, men wouldn't get made fun of for it

The majority of men have the ability to peak in terms of physical attractiveness during their 30’s, but it requires hard work during their 20’s, which most men unfortunately never do. So yes, the average 25-30 year old looks better than the average 30-40 year old, but anyone who takes care of their skin, goes to the gym and eats healthy will most likely look better during their 30’s than they did during their 20’s, provided that they engage in said habits for an extended period of time.
@@sweetpea6230 unfortunately I have to disagree with you here 😭 Women peak in terms of physical attractiveness in their early to mid twenties. Yes, if you work hard you can hold up really good even during your thirties, but the average 22 year old woman in good shape will always look better than the average 32 year old woman in good shape. Whereas with men it’s what I explained above. Plus physical attractiveness is more important for women than it is for men. Men can be overall more attractive later in life because they will have achieved more confidence, status, money, etc. Women value all of these things in men. Men value almost exclusively physical attractiveness and femininity in women, which is more prevalent during the early to mid twenties.

I want to know how theses studies are conducted. I always thought men my own age were most attractive. Like the dad bod thing a few years back: Men thought that women found that body type attractive when it in fact was about her feeling and looking prettier next to him... Like women at the Spanish court keeping monkeys so they would look more beautiful next to them.
Women were just trying to be nice, which was a mistake because now we’ve got all these older men thinking they’re the shit. They think they deserve an 18 year old virgin and that they are too good for women their own age. They think they are in their prime while women hit the wall at 25. I hope these men get the rude awakening they deserve.
25-30 is when your bone mass is highest, signs of aging are still low or nonexistent, and baby fat is as gone as it will ever naturally be. It only makes sense that youre at your peak at that age
Are A-list celebrities ugly when they are young, then find the magic cure around 30? Of course not. Just like regular men, they peak physicaly in their 20s. But men's attractiveness level depend less on looks that for women. That's why women tend to search for an older partner and men tend to search for a younger partner. That's why women get more attention, more sollicitations from men when they are in their 20s, while men get it more in their 30s and 40s.
Supposedly, that should be the rule. Being that age doesn't put you anywhere in life, you do it. And honestly, the big truth is it doesn't matter how much a man makes, rather about his generosity. He may have wealth but if he doesn't provide for you, means absolutely nothing. Women don't need rich men, women want generous men
@@AWDTH1111 nope, because each women is in different financial level. Of course you need to have something, the same as a woman has to invest in herself or to even look decent to have access to men. I don't think it's just that. Men in their 30's generally have the best of both worlds. Still young enough to look good, have energy, high testosterone etc. But they are also generally more of a MAN (which women like) compared to their 20's. 40's less so, but a lot of men can still maintain those things to an extent if he takes care of himself.

@@nataliekhanyola5669 I’ve known some women who prefer men in their 40s/50s but of course most of them were like 30s-60s. But I’m really comparing how much women like men in their 20s vs men in their 30s. My opinion is that if a man stays in good health (and keeps his hair), he will often look better in his 30s to many women because he loses that last bit of buccal fat he may have, his jaw broadens, his beard may get fuller, and he just has an overall more masculine appearance. This is why male celebrities tend to look better to a lot of women in their 30s as opposed to 20s. I for years have preferred many men’s appearances in their 30s and even 40s over their 20s- Henry Cavill, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac, Milo Ventimiglia, Matthew Gray Gubler, Usher, Tom Hiddleston, the list goes on. I’m 26 years old and I have multiple friends who would agree that these men all looked better at age 35 than 25, and some even look better beyond 35 than at 25. 20-25 sometimes still looks like a young boy, for some men.
If you take care of yourself, no. The problem is most men don't. No alcohol, diet, exercise, and avoid sunlight. There's a reason why older gay men tend to look more youthful and in shape, and it's not genetics
No, its really the opposite. Men tend to age better, far better than women do to. Sure some men let go of themselves as a result of laziness, but that's totally avoidable if you just nurture responsible habits.
I definitely peaked between 29-35 I would say regarding when I got by far the most attention from women whether it was girls just outright approaching me on the street to older women coming up to me to setup me up with their daughter. I looked young though in my early 20s.
i've been saying this for ages, the only reason old men are convinced that they're actually at their peak is that their wallet gets more attractive 💀 regardless don't pick your partner based off superficial stuff like youth or money, it bites back.
The pictures of the celebrity couples at the end don’t prove anything. For example, Beyoncé is with JayZ because he’s rich and successful. Not because he’s an “attractive older man”
Imo, Caucasian men are at their best look during late teens to early 30s then they tend to age faster after that which is the opposite for most Asian men to which for me, look more attractive as they age. I still prefer Caucasian-mixed men tho.
It's true. My husband is east asian and even though he is 10 years older than me I only look slightly younger than him. I'm caucasian and also looking younger than my age. Needless to say that proper grooming for men is not considered gay in EA, and people don't let themselves go so soon due to the intense social pressure. Also much less people are overweight or obese.
Some men with old looking faces look better as they get older, the baby faced ones look better in their 20s and it depends on how they take of themselves, some start in their 30s
It really depends on how you take care of yourself. If you have full hair and no serious signs of aging THEN men look better in their 30s. But some guys age faster so they will even see a decline by 24. Everyone ages differently.
For real, in my late 20s and I feel I’m at peak, practicing semen retention even makes you look more attractive, confident and masculine to find a beautiful girl or soulmate
There are plenty of men and women in their 30s and 40s that look better than an average 20s. But almost the only way YOU look better in your 30s than your 20s if you have a better body or you dress better but your face is almost always worse.

Yes, on average that is how it works or should work, for both men and women. The younger you are, the more physically attractive you are due to being at your physical peak at that age range. However, there are many other variables that affect how you look and age and so some people really do continue being attractive as they age and some do not. In reality, there are two kinds of ages for everyone. There's the chronological age and then there's a biological age, and they do not always coincide. The chronological age is what it is and cannot be affected but the biological age is mailable by a variety of factors such as diet, exercise, hygiene, stress levels, etc.
That hasn't been my experience. This is why I have never believed the “men age like fine wine” mantra. A big part of sexual attractiveness are signs of youth and virility, all of which tapers of and decreases after your 20s. Now, you’ll be a better provider as your maturity and earnings potential increase, but that’s different than sexual attractiveness and typically starts mattering once she at least finds you somewhat attractive. Women do tend to prefer a bit older, but it’s more so a 21-23 yr old woman dating a 25-28 year old vs a guy well into his 30s. So for guys, the move is to do their best to age gracefully but don’t assume it’ll just happen later and take action early on.
lady if you want sign of virility you won't find a better place than combat sport or strongmen/powerlifting competition, guess which age group dominate it? too many women simply do not get men's biology. A man in his 20s will NOT be stronger than one in his 30s, simply because the one in his 30s has had more time to build muscle mass, testosterone level decrease far slower than these kind of videos will have you believe, it is really only in his 50s a man will notice it.
You poor sweet kid, you're delusional. The only people who age well are hot people and people with incredible genetics, and people who take care of themselves. It's not about gender at all 😉.
@@stockholmpublishings2937did you not watch the video? Women find men most physically attractive in their 20s. Only a few men look better as they get older and the others are delusional 🤣
When I was online dating in my 30s, the men in my age group were busted looking. They were losing their hairlines, growing wrinkles, and developing dad bods (but not a dad). They still had audacity and entitlement of a 25 year old hot man though. Lol.
For the men who have “good” physical genetics on their side I’d agree 35-45 is peak attraction for me.. too many men are out there with their 25-30 confidence accompanied by signs of early aging, poor lifestyle choices and neglected oral care.. they don’t seem to check in on themselves.. I think if you’re older and looking well it’s a reflection of a commitment to your health and longevity and that’s attractive..
I think it's subjective and cultural. There are a lot of men individually and ethnically who look better older than younger, but then again the opposite is true for a lot of other men. Zachary Levi (one of the guys in this video) had a fresher face when he was younger but definitely didn't have the typical leading man looks for his age bracket back then. If he got cast as the leading man he usually got cast as the quirky unexpected leading man with potential, the nerd with charm that girls fall for. But now he looks more "leading man" attractive that he's older, at least for his age bracket. Some people grow into their looks, some people grow out of their looks sadly, and some people are just hot or not their whole lives. These studies are ridiculous because there are too many variables and too many people have their own opinions. The real aim is to convince people to like certain social standards of appearance instead of celebrating diverse perspectives. Find attractive whoever you find attractive, regardless of age. I was an adorable kid, an ugly teen, an odd looking young adult, and now that I'm in my 30s people (men and women) tell me I'm an attractive man. I just have to get over the trauma of people saying the opposite to me for decades prior, unsolicited lol.
Some men look better in their 30s because they get in the best shape of their lives, learn to dress properly, groom themselves adopt better skin care diet, also although your looks peak at 25 your your wisdom and experience with dating can elevate you a lot. Also more likely to be more financially stable but I honestly think this is exaggerated a lot in attracting most women just as long as you work and are not living in squalor, if you attracting women because of your money that is not a woman I wish to meet!
Men look better in their 30s IF they look after themselves. Every leading man in hollywoods career peaks in their mid to late thirties. It's not a coincidence.
They can still look great and better than women in that age range but let's be honest most young hot girls are walking arm to arm with younger guys not dudes in their 30ies. You can see it in a busy shopping mall or centrum all the time.

Everyone looks their best at 21. Then their looks gradually crater with each passing year until it becomes a full-time job to retain any semblance of youth.
And Glenn Powell and Chris and Liam Hemsworth ect. The more attractive you are the more likely that will continue to be the case as you age if you take care of yourself.
I think this is highly dependant on the person, some guys look like 40 when they're 25, they for sure won't peak in 30s but somebody who looks younger he will peak in 30s. And also a big component is how much you care about yourself, you should reach fitness prime in your 30s, balding also playes a roll for sure.
I actually think it’s the opposite. Women look better with age, more refined and “sit” into their features, whereas men look worse with age. It’s funny how society would have you think the opposite.

I speak for the majority of men around the world (not all.) We don’t care. We care more for our overall health and our earning prospects not our attractiveness.
The problem is that most men stop taking care of themselves once they are out of market, have babies and so on. It would be nice to see a comparison of men who took care of themselves. The testosterone thing is very overblown, the amount of testosterone drop is tiny and it’s probably due more to lifestyle than to pure aging (some studies shown that men who did hard farm labor had like 900 ng/dl in their 60s) The only major hits are balding and in some cases wrinkles, things that can be seen prevented with finasteride and sunscreen. Even testosterone can be replaced with TRT if it’s dropping.

As a woman in my 30s who has been exclusively talking to men in their 30s for the last several years, I am finding out this to be true. I think this misconception came about because men who ARE attractive in their 30s look even better in their 30s than they did in their 20s because they look more rugged and manly and less boyish, however the average man, who is most likely experiencing the effects you described of losing hair and muscle tone etc., definitely looked better in their 20s. In much the same way women have complained for years than actresses and models and influencers and porn stars are not what the average girl looks like, it's time we woke up and also realized actors and male models and fitness bros are not what the average guy looks like. I've come to realize lately after unsuccessfully dating for a long time now that I paid more attention to appearances than I realized. I really think media has warped our concept and understanding of "average". TV average is in fact above average IRL.
Nope. Generally speaking, a woman looks her best 18-24, whereas a man (if he takes decent care of himself) looks best between 28-34. But both can look good well beyond that.
@stephenhughes5156 creepy. You should always find people your age to be the most attractive to YOU no matter how many wrinkles they have. If not, you simply aren't compatible with women because we find men our own age the most attractive. As it should be. Some men have a mental illness where they prefer the looks of women that are not compatible with them at their stage of life. That's a you problem.
It makes sense. A man in his mid 30s is more likely to be mature, stable, resolute and reliable, which are things women find attractive. They dont give as much importance to beauty as we men do, they want a man to be their rock and not a cute kid to play with or to look after. @Cesare-Borgia are you joking yes it is. it literally says in the video that women found men between 25-30 the most attractive.
So true, I think men are most attractive when they grow out of that kid phase and really grow into themselves as a man usually around 25ish + then continued attractiveness after that depends on the individual. I agree greatly depends on health & fitness!

Because it's not just about looks, societal factors are involved as well. Woman dating for looks is DUMB, usually a mix of character, well established financially and maturity are factors that make a man suitable, that's why they're only able to reach that at certain age and that is beyond their 30s in men
I also disagree, some men look too childish when they're young and over time they look better.

@@1eyedWYRM😂😂 yeah right. Most men have terrible rough acne scarred skin. They look worse at any given age compared to women😅 Most men do not get facials or even have a proper cleansing routine. Female faces age much better imho especially now that they have access to good skincare and cosmetic surgery.
@@1eyedWYRMit does get worse. Most men look even worse than women their age when they are older. One thing is what men want to believe and they keep repeting it to convice society...another thing is reality.
@@1eyedWYRM if you don't find women your age to be the most attractive to you subjectively, you're simply not compatible with women. We prefer men our own age no matter how wrinkley they might be.
I always say that a man looks better when he’s older if he takes care of himself! If not, then no he looks worse than when he was younger.
You can circumvent this by having a workout routine, skincare routine etc eating a balanced diet.
+ taking hair medications to prevent the hairline from receding and balding
Begin more than a 6/10 too.
Several women I pursued in my 20's didn't give me the time of day, but now that I'm in my mid 30's several if not the majority of them have tried to reconnect trying to form a romantic partnership. Maybe it's because they noticed their beauty was on the decline and therefore were now at the same level on the attractiveness scale 😂. I did make a conscious effort to exercise in my late 20's to improve my physique so that's probably part of it also 🤷🏻♂️
Your bank account dude....that's the thing.
They literally are seeking stability. This is damn common that guys didnt have dating sucess in their 20s and in their 30s they suddenly get these women from the past messaging them again. They only want a provider trust me. Dont fall into that trap
@@oranges557facts people don’t vet their woman enough. She likely isn’t attracted to HIM but the stability to raise a family after she had her way with mentally ill a hole guys like me
Women's priorities also change as they age. Probably doesn't have much to do with this decline you're talking abt. And you're on the decline too stud 🫡 😉. Given this comment your personality kind of sucks, so those women can do better.
Always say it the most important thing to having an attractive partner is money, beats out looks every. single. time. 😂
Men do, compared to women.
Women age like milk, men age like wine.
Due to collagen levels etc.
Gota take care of yourself. I’m Dating at 32 way more successfully than in my 20s. Better fitness and better finances
When I was online dating in my 30s, the men in my age group were busted looking. They were losing their hairlines, growing wrinkles, and developing dad bods (but not a dad). They still had audacity and entitlement of a 25 year old hot man though. Lol.
Most people just look awful by then
For the men who have “good” physical genetics on their side I’d agree 35-45 is peak attraction for me.. too many men are out there with their 25-30 confidence accompanied by signs of early aging, poor lifestyle choices and neglected oral care.. they don’t seem to check in on themselves.. I think if you’re older and looking well it’s a reflection of a commitment to your health and longevity and that’s attractive..
This study was "small scale" in rural Ecuador. Is scientifically representative to the preferences of a large scale urban American culture?
rural Ecuador????!!!
this was done in rural Ecuador? Lmao 😂
Are you fr lol
Sorry but yes, yes it is.
Rollo Tomassi is wrong

when woman rate attractiveness, they mean looks, status, and money. older men are mature and have more money that's why.
Who told you that myth?
I rate men based on their face, height, body built and youth.
@@Random.sachen1 Would you date a tall good-looking homeless man who lives in a card board box?
If you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll look your best in your late teens
If you do, you’ll look your best in your mid 30s
@@ForWhatIsAMan It’s not even about physical attributes. If old men don’t act their age they’re red flags
Only applies to those celebs, not the average man.
@menot1 it applies to people who take good care of themselves. The avg guy generally doesn't take care of himself
But that's a small percentage.. so overall is probably late 20s :)
@tereza5211 id say early twenties. Most men are clueless about maintaining their looks. Plus balding is a tough too.
They can still look great and better than women in that age range but let's be honest most young hot girls are walking arm to arm with younger guys not dudes in their 30ies. You can see it in a busy shopping mall or centrum all the time.
me experiencing hair-loss since I was 13 😳😳
Men don't look better in their 30s, but it is easier for them to maintain looks than it is for women, due to a less brutal change in hormone levels.
Most men start balding though
@@TricksterLawlet yeah true, balding is the one major thing there's not much control over. Like I said, they don't look better.

This is another one of those “duh” studies alongside studies about d size where they make a shocking discovery that women prefer big roosters. Our reproductive instincts tells us to find a suitable mate for reproduction. And young adults are the fittest for that purpose. Hence people find young men and women more attractive. It’s as simple as that.

Thats true bc a crush I had is 34 now and he looks sooo different!!! Definitely nothin like when he was in his 20s he gained a lot of weight and is kinda bald now😭
Everyone looks their best at 21. Then their looks gradually crater with each passing year until it becomes a full-time job to retain any semblance of youth.

HaHA!! Science prevails once again. We're all ugly 😁 No more of this nonsense of which one looks better older. We're all wrinkly sock puppets.
Henry Cavill does look at his best now though.
And Glenn Powell and Chris and Liam Hemsworth ect. The more attractive you are the more likely that will continue to be the case as you age if you take care of yourself.
No,he was hotter probably ten years ago. Sorry bud.
Idk. He looks about the same as he always did
I think this is highly dependant on the person, some guys look like 40 when they're 25, they for sure won't peak in 30s but somebody who looks younger he will peak in 30s.
I think thats because women seem to be more attractive than men in general
A healthy 25 yr old woman 9/10 is more attractive than a healthy 45 yr old woman.
No. They look better younger than 30
Fiscal attraction > physical attraction
Not me!! I’m in my mid 30’s. Two months ago I went to a clinic to get my testosterone levels checked and they emailed me the results saying “your testosterone levels are above normal which is not common for your age…do you take steroids?” 😂 I obviously don’t but it made me laugh. It goes to show age is just a number
I'm 34 and get mistaken for being much younger. 🫶🙏
I don`t agree. I`m already 40, but on recent years have been more popular with women than ever. Even with much younger women. And I mean good looking nice women.
yeah if youre not balding and actually well built
I speak for the majority of men around the world (not all.)
We don’t care.
We care more for our overall health and our earning prospects not our attractiveness.
Average men don't care about their health only after their first heart attack.
The problem is that most men stop taking care of themselves once they are out of market, have babies and so on.
It would be nice to see a comparison of men who took care of themselves.
The testosterone thing is very overblown, the amount of testosterone drop is tiny and it’s probably due more to lifestyle than to pure aging (some studies shown that men who did hard farm labor had like 900 ng/dl in their 60s)
The only major hits are balding and in some cases wrinkles, things that can be seen prevented with finasteride and sunscreen. Even testosterone can be replaced with TRT if it’s dropping.
Guys who take care of themselves are the exception to the rule. I wouldn’t use exceptions to make a point
@@LeadLeftLeon but it’s something everyone can do that’s the point
The comments from women are harsh and gross.

Er... you ok?
Both men and women look their best in their thirties and early forties imo...says a lady in her late fifties😊

If you think about It, usually male sex symbols become such around that age.
