Those kids are probably my age by now. I remember those days getting clothes and shoes for back to school. At least we didn't have to have a specific uniform.

I thought I could become a basketball player from wearing them LOL! I mean hey, Converse were the choice of shoe back in the 50s to the 70s with basketball teams.

I'm guessing Vampire Robot either worked as a news cameraman who took these b-roll videos, or got a hold of these videos from TV stations clearing out old videotapes from storage.

I worked at JCPenny for my first job and would have to clean out dressing rooms where people refused to bring out things they didn’t want or would find tons of tags ripped off of stolen merchandise. Kids would urinate in the dressing rooms and you had to constantly refold table items. Just because it was the 90s doesn’t mean it wasn’t just as chaotic at certain times of the day.
When JcPenney’s had lot of things in there store. Now, they’ve hardly anything in their store. No selection of items in there store. If you go shopping at JcPenney’s this century.
