Even though paladins is probably a better game, sometimes it’s easier to get a game like architects to the table. Hopefully you get to play the others.
If you like worker placement games you will love this game. They developed a cool way for reclaiming your workers and the theme ties in extremely well, which is for, important on overall experience.
Trust me, once you play one, you’ll like it….heres a couple other suggestions that may be better to start off with 1. Everdell 2. Wingspan Great games that have a little more weight than usual. Have fun
Paladins is the choice of most people, but what I think is cool, is how the 3 games flow together 1. Architects: starts as the kingdom is growing and flourishing 2. Paladins: the kingdom is under attack 3. Viscounts: the kingdom is crumbling and who will make it out on top Have fun
I think it’s a great two player game. If both people know how to play it will take around an 1 to 1.5 hrs. The higher player counts tend to have more player interaction though.
I would play any of these, I love strategy games and am not a discerning gamer, but I think Viscounts or Paladins look a little heavier and thus more interesting.
@@TableTheGame I’ve been playing a lot of Lost Ruins of Arnak and Castles of Burgundy on BGA, so probably one of those. I’m new to being deeply involved in the hobby, so still trying lots of different games. The White Castle was a lot of fun and I need to play more of it to see whether it’s a favorite or not.
Those are all good games. Arnak is very close style game to my favorite game, Dune Imperium. I haven’t played White Castle yet but I plan on doing a comparisons video for White Castle and red cathedral once I’ve played White Castle.
@@TableTheGame I’ve played Dune Imperium on TTS. I really enjoyed that too. I love Deckbuilding, so it’s fun to play strategy games with that mechanic. I’ll be curious on your thoughts, I bought red cathedral because some reviewers talked about it being similar to White Castle, though I haven’t played it yet.
i played the architects my friend has a copy and i actually liked it

I've never played West Kingdom series, architects seems really fun with 4 players. Hopefully I can try it out someday.

Wow, all of those are heavier weight (and more playtime) than I am used to. Lol

I just got the Viscounts a couple weeks ago, have yet to play it. It will be my first Garphill game, so I am looking forward to it!
You’re gonna love it. Even though Viscount isn’t my favorite game in the West Kingdom, it is my favorite theme. Let me know how it goes and Have fun.
paladins is a heavy game and would like to try it out some time. 🙂
Good choice 😀
If I would start this series
If I would choose paladins

I play mostly 2 player games, so I've seen that paladin plays great at 2

Paladins is the hardest one of the 3, but most people’s favorite
