Thank you so much, Cindy! I was really happy with the way that fabric paper turned out. I’m finally starting to get my craft room out of storage after having to replace all of our floors due to a water leak so I can get to crafting and making videos again. Thank so much for watching and for your lovely comment! ~Kathy xo
Wow!!! I love this. They came out beautiful. Guess what I'm going to be doing?? Thanks for sharing. I agree Natasha is a wonderful teacher of beautiful items.

hello, I am new to your videos and new to making journals and I love this one about making fabric paper. I need to go find some items and make a few of these for my next journal. Thanks so much. Kay from Colorado Springs.
Hello, Kay, and welcome!! I’m so happy you’re going to give this project a try. It’s loads of fun even if it is a bit messy. Also, I have lots of projects on my channel that are perfect for beginners. Thank you so much for watching!! ~Kathy xo
New subscriber here! I'm so happy to find your video! This journal cover, and all the other fabric papers, are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
Lovely, thank you for a great tutorial…I don’t have the gold mesh but thinking I will stamp in metallic ink for the top layer, or maybe some embossing if it will take the heat. Time to make a mess…😁
Sounds awesome, what a great idea! I'd love it if you'd tag me on instagram when you finish the project! Thank you so much for your comment and for watching! ~Kathy xo
Great video a year ago but just popped up today. I have done some napkins with glue via Natasha’s TH-cam channel, but never considered using it with fabric, which I have tons of as a quilter also. What a great idea.
Really enjoyed your explanation of how you did everything. It was very educational and you were so organized. Thank so much for sharing all that you do ❤❤
Thank you so much, Jannell. That’s a really fun project project, even if it is a little messy, lol. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment! ~Kathy xo
We love love love your videos!! Nice simple tutorials and such awesome results!! Love the background music too!! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!!!
Gorgeous! I came by to see about making fabric paper, but you caught me with the use of the black and white theme to which you added fall colors. I love the way it turned out. Fantastic job!
Just found you today, Kathy, and thoroughly enjoyed your tutorial. The owl journal cover is stunning and I can't wait to make my own cover soon. Thanks so much for a very informative session. Aileen from London, UK
I have made the fabric paper from Natasha at Treasure Books too! I love the layering twist you added! Well done. I’m glad I got to see the beginning of your Owl Journal!

Wow Kathy, I love those fabric papers you have created. Love that Owl... :) Thank you so much for sharing your step by step process in showing us how to create this paper. Now I am off to find an old bed sheet, and try this "new" paper out.
Thanks, Cathy! I hope you’ll have fun with the project and I’m sure it will come out awesome! Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment! ~Kathy xo
Thanks so much, Cheryl! I didn’t use the gloss on the journal cover, but I did on the others examples I showed. I didn’t measure, but I diluted it approximately 2/3 gloss to 1/3 water. Thank you very much for watching!! ~Kathy xo
Lovely but I feel the sewing before covering just added to bulk, personally I’d have sewn round either an inch or 1/2 inch from the edge or sewn as you did later after sticking it on and leaving to dry. I really love the idea but I’ll omit the 2x sewing on the edge. Thank you. X
Thank you, Shirley! Certainly sewing is always optional, however it didn’t really add to the bulk at all. All the papers are very thin so the bulk is minimal. Thanks for watching! ~Kathy xo
What a fun cover! Every time I have tried making fabric paper, the paper part pulls away from the fabric as it dries, leaving bubbles in the fabric. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. I make sure to saturate the fabric, I add the papers the same as everyone else seems to, I'm using thinned plain white glue..... Any ideas? I love the look of it, and I would love for it to work for me!
Hi Tammy, thanks for the great question! The only thing I can suggest is maybe not thinning down the glue as much. That said, mine still has a few air bubbles too, but once I sew the edges down they’re at least not going to fall apart. Another thing you can do, is once it’s fully dried you can “crazy stitch” all over, or back and forth in even spaces, like on a quilt. I think that would create an awesome texture. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! ~Kathy xo
No, you can use any super thin paper. Thank you so much for subscribing and for your lovely comment! Have you seen the giveaway video yet? I hope you’ll get in the drawing! ~Kathy xo
