I am not surprised because there seems to be a lack of chemistry between a number of players and awareness of each other on the pitch and not being able to work around it. And so many of our players are not willing to move the ball forward and move in to space and give each other an option.

What England player would be happy? The manager started thinking Trent is a better midfielder than those in the squad. He also implies that Trippier is England's best left back. His coaching relies on Bellingham doing something. The team is slow and boring. But they are lucky and that is never a bad thing.

One thing I noticed was when tripper got taken out with a very bad tackle not one England player reacted. If it was italy or Spain or anyone they would have been all over the ref and the culprit screaming for a red or at least sticking up for each other. I found that odd. We never get involved in gamesmanship . They dont seem to be a unit.
You get a yellow card for that now, only the captain can approach the ref. Plus all the players were happy as Trippier is gash.
I have noticed Kane/Tripier are so far up each other its unbelievable, The Man City Trio seem at odds with both Walker /Stones throwing sickies before games.

Think the team miss players that are the glue to a team like Henderson and jack, not saying they need to play but behind the scenes jack is a people person and he just is a plus with his attitude and involvement same as Henderson. The team seem flat no harmony, unlike at the last Euros and worldcup. Bottomline is Southgate needs to go.

I have been thinking this for a while about this England team under Southgate. Their performances have been dire for a good few years.
The Italy group games and the Scotland game are the only good performances, they have struggled to make chances/shots in most of the other games and that's from a low base, we do convert the few chances we make into goals but we are struggling even to do that now.

I'd imagine there are several players unhappy in the camp:-
Foden: For constantly being played out position, made worse by Trippier not overlapping to his left.
Bellingham: For Foden cutting infield all the time and treading on his toes.
Kane: For receiving zero supply from the left. Two passes in 4 matches?
Saka: For being doubled up on because opponents recognise there is no threat from England down their left.
Trent: For being expected to spray killer diagonal passes to a front four that are sitting deep.
Gordon: For getting just 4 minutes thus far, and wondering how he can be any less effective than Foden on the left.
Toney: For being expected to make a difference as a 94th minute sub. He knows that Southgate got lucky and has the tactical intuition of a giraffe.
Gomez: For wondering how he can be any worse than Trippier at left back.
Double up on Saka is cos opposition know England don’t have that balance and left side overlap. So they overload on our right and force them to Trippier who only wants to come infield. The big problem is the lack of left back. If only it had occurred to Southgate to bring more than one (injured) left back rather than an abundance of options for right back. Idiot.

Jude Bellingham is the one who is upsetting the apple cart. He's a bit of a flashy, mouthy aggressive bugger. Just imagine if Jude had not scored that brilliant goal and Harry Kane had not scored the winner. And Slovakia would have gone on to win the game. Jude Bellingham would have been blaming his teammates for not giving him the ball. I have played football with characters like Bellingham before in my youth. And like Bellingham, they create an air of intimidation and a bulling atmosphere to the football team. I personally found those characters rather unpleasant to play football with. They are aggressive, angry, selfish, flash, and blame everybody else's for the defeat.
I'm sure those Manchester United players who played with Roy Keane would have experienced similar behaviour from Roy Keane, who we all know was a bully boy and a point the finger at everyone else but himself. Bellingham is jumping up in opposition players' faces every time he gets tackled, wanting to have a row on the pitch. He is definitely going to receive the mother of all headbutt on his nose if he carries on trying to be the tough guy on the football pitch.

Southgate is managing the team like he has no other players and no squad. The pool of players we have in different positions now is bigger than ever has has been for years and he has continued to underuse this in games and in picking them before the game. He has no clue how to changes selections and his comment about Phillips and choosing Jordan Henderson previously shows this. He has consistently shown at tornaments the same mistakes apart from he doesn’t have any advisors feeling him different or he’s not listening. It’s one of the other ? Or he’s just that stubborn or can’t attack or manage a squad of attacking players and options. There’s no excuse to be playing like this for 8 games! All the games leading up to this were exactly the same issues and he never sorted it. He has three group games and he’s left it all until now. Shocking manager
I have a feeling this is the first tournament where he’s had to accommodate huge egos and “undroppable players”, particularly Bellingham.
Also: England did indeed play much better with either Phillips in the team (2021 Phillips) or Henderson.
Give these players a world class manager who can put them in the right roles then watch the difference, but falling out with people isn’t an excuse for not performing. Your own pride in your performance has to kick in at some point
