@@Crovon1 Great? Arsenal did really well last season as well. He's very very limited on the ball and I've said for years England won't win anything with him playing midfield. Our midfield gets killed everytime we play someone decent.
@@KevinSheedy10 I'm sorry I can't take you seriously. Our whole team gets killed whilst Southgate is in charge with his defensive, one formation, one dimensional football.
When we get a proper manager in charge then we can discuss if Rice, Bellingham, Foden, etc are over 'being found out'
@@Crovon1 Ostrich syndrome.
Rice is bang average can't play a decent forward pass
Anthony Gordon will give Pikerik a nightmare with his energy. I would play Gomez LB.
The LW spot is much more of an issue than the LB spot.
They go hand in hand though....
@@Airyed Yh, together they make each problem worse.
But if you were to change the LB and not the LW, it would not have as big of a positive impact, compared with changing the LW and not the LB.
By all means change both, if you can, for the best outcome.
@@simonb1996 completely agree I would give Gomes a chance definitely and Foden on the bench but has to come on for Bellingham if Bellingham has another bad game
@@simonb1996 yep having a proper left winger to worry about effects their right side from getting at the left back and doubling up on them
This is particularly true for FM2024
why are NO football journalists asking southgate why he didnt take a fit left back? when he had plenty of time to get one in with the friendlies before the euros? simply moronic decision.
cant listen to keown for more than 1 minute, he has not got a clue
What and you do
Stop that talk. Keown speaks very fairly and elegantly 9/10. Unlike the fool Simon jordan at times
yes i have more of a clue, obviously
Is Martin just reading off a sheet?
does it all the time, he reads/recites his notes out loud
@@glp2l Fair enough
He’s normally doing his weekly big shop list
I love and hate simon Jordan in equal measure
Perhaps some England players look good at club level only because they play with exceptional teammates
Let the flair-players go PLAY AND STOP RESTRICTING THEM.
I am amused every time I listen to the English press, pundits, ex- players overhyping the English team, and going on and on about England being one of the powerhouses in world football, tournament favourites, and their players being branded "world class." What a deluded bunch of people.
So why watch the video? 🤣
You got that third world jealousy 😂😂
You don't even speak your own language, you speak English, you know why? Because our language is better than yours 😂
The oldest ship building site in the world is over 8,000 years old and is located on the Isle of Wight, we're thousands of years ahead of you. The industrial revolution? That was us 😂 We set the standards that you all try to follow 😂 We probably went to your country, slapped you about and enslaved you 😂😂
Always the same every time.
I agree with you on 'world class' but i think with a good system they would be in contention, no?
Rice = overhyped. Lacks mobility
Nothing about Kane.... The golden boy Foden is well protected.... If you play for Arsenal its fair game 😂😂😂😂
Boo hoo typical gooner mentality
We met Martin's son, Nial, when we were at a small weinstube in Bacharach between Scotland matches. Such a great guy.
Can't he put saka left wing to give us balance and Gordon on the right
Modern football is not played like that, if you want a right footed cross coming in, you need the full back overlapping and having him do that
So play neither of them in their actually position?
Saka as left back who can help in attack to play full force attacking football. Look at carvajal , mende for spain ,dimarco for Italy, kimmich for Germany, frimpong for Holland, carasco for Belgium, they are either left or right back that push up to help in attack not just sit back and wait for opponent to attack.
@@LurganGoon91 No that’s the thing, they are all playing on the other wing to where you would naturally assume they would be playing at, Modern football have all followed the Messi/Robben Position, you need the dinosaur managers like Pardew, Bruce, Big Sam etc if you want that
Says how bad things have been when Keown and Jordan agree.
Martin “turtle” Keown
saka at left back< i think keown has lost the feking plot
He’s deffo gone mad
Great analysis from both. Thoroughly enjoyed Simon’s work this tournament
Rice equals crab 🦀
declan rice was underrated at west ham, and now massively overrated now hes at arsenal
❤️ Talk Sports Simon vs Keown ding dongs. Copy Klopp & Messi Monster Mentality, "u will sweat buckets for 1 hr, & then 3 boys come off & fresh legs in last 30 mins & AET. "To make the press even more intense, be like monsters & 🦁 Lions hunting prey."
We will make slick passes & 1-2s faster. We will make energetic smart runs behind rivals CBs to receive Trents lovely defence splitters like Pirlo to Del Piero & Totti in 2006 or Hoddle to Lineker & Ian Wright.
Also, listen to Ben Foster about Pickfords stupid long balls to rivals CBs, which is a huge worry. That's not Gareths fault if the GK does stupid long balls. I want Ben Foster back as GK.
Watch Capello's chat to Kaveh Solekah of Sky. Don Fabio mostly blamed JP for all 3 defeats in the last 3 cups. Especially Euro Final at Wembley.
Also, Didi Haman ripped apart JPs lack of clam smart distribution.
Gareth must wait until last min to select KO Ro16 team as he won't know until Sunday 09.30am (0r 15.30pm) how fit the front 4 stars really are!
Pray & meditate & on Sunday our 3 lions 🦁 pride will rise in victorious KO stages battles, growing game by game. Enjoy getting to the KO stage.
There's no need to take hasty decisions. Wednesday to Saturday is a time to enjoy the T20 World Cup & the rise of Emma Radacanu & Draper in Tennis.
Its a time to pray & and meditate,
& to get the body fully fit & the mind fully focussed.
Then, on Sunday, the 3 🦁 pride will rise to do battle like 1966 boys. Gareth will have a good plan sorted on Sunday.
Don't bash em. Just pray and meditate to make lots of good luck karma.
I actually don’t agree with what souness said… I think Rice is actually pretty good on the half turn and moving forward with the ball. I actually don’t think he’s very good at sitting and reading the game.
Its not players getting found out, its the system in place that isnt getting the best out of them. England are so deep the midfield has to operate in such a big space when teams press high up. Foden and Bellingham playing on top of each other and Kane dropping deep, theres no space going forward as well.
Why did he took eze and watkins , its not rocket science , he is just bieng arrogant and try to be loyal to certain players like kane .
Keown dropping truth bombs. Sick of the culture present in the England team atm. Weak.
For a holding midfielder rice just aint good enough on the ball rice has very limited ability....England have no player like kroos or rodri a midfielder that controls the game ....rice is no world class player yous english pundits haven't a clue .....
Known always defends arsenal players. He needs to face reality. Rice wasn't worth 100 mill.. hyped by media.. and others haven't performed by so hasnt rice!
We’re so insular as a country. The French media are BRUTAL to the team. As are the German and Spanish media. Stop complaining and get on with it.
Absolutely is being found out, so greatful that we got Caicedo, a sick joke that people think Rice is anywhere near as good.
It's pretty obvious that England will be vulnerable to a well organised counter attack. Most likely more so if Kainoo is playing.
Maybe we just need to wind our necks in before a tournament and stop overhyping our players and our chances of winning.God knows after all these years we should have learnt our lesson.66 was a very long time ago.
Decent squad player Declan is no more or less the whole of the squad are bang average and Southgate just doesn’t help matters
Sigh.. As an unbiased non-english man let me let you all in, from an outsiders perspective...
Basically EVERY english player is getting found out. It really makes (non-english) people wonder how in the hell the Prem is the best league in the world, when, on international level, you are So Boring to watch.
But I've seen enough to know the problem is Southgate and his "system", end of.
We've always needed players who can keep the ball in high pressure situations that are comfortable and embrace those scenarios. We have one on the bench in wharton but southgate will not play him
