  • We've got something special for you: a re release video with a new, free workbook to help you navigate the tricky waters of complex ptsd recovery with confidence.
This comes after hearing about one of our community members who was let down by a therapist who didn't take their feelings seriously. It was a real eye-opener for us, showing how some therapists might not be fully equipped to handle complex ptsd because they're informed about trauma but not fully trained to treat it.
That's why we're stepping up-to make sure you've got the right tools to stand up for your mental health.
The workbook contains easy-to-follow slides to help you gain confidence and believe in yourself through this journey, 20 essential questions to ask so you find the right support, and ways to recognise your values and what's important to you as a guide.
It's more important than ever to have someone who really knows their stuff and is walking the talk on recovery. Let's make sure you're getting the support you deserve.

I was a trauma- informed-trained teacher. This training only served to make teachers feel horrible guilt that schools are not at all ready to help with trauma.

I can only imagine how hard it is to be a teacher in this modern day and not have enough information to help in the classroom as you need. I hope all of you get to have more than enough information to help with kids who are experiencing trauma. Thank you for all you do.

@@ComplexPtsdRecovery The greatest barriers to helping students with trauma is: schools are not built or furnished with trauma-impacted students in mind. Schools are nowhere NEAR staffed with trauma-impacted students in mind. Being realistic about trauma-impacted student numbers, schools should be staffed with a group of properly paid trauma trained counselors. Many taxpayers make the mistake of assuming that schools with one "school counselor" are ready to meet the need. Most school counselors spend the majority of their day dealing with student scheduling issues, and there is often only one school counselor for each 300 students. Also, there are parents who prohibit their child from attending counseling at a public school.
