Been looking into the Haley belt for a bit. Not that there is anything wrong with my current set up but, you know, gearqueerism. Looks like I need to buy one! Good shit as always dude.
Haley makes great stuff, kinda disappointed they switched their INCOG Holster production from G-Code to Safariland's Mexico outsourced line though. Couple of points for 1 cent consideration in variable/ adaptive nature: - Any load bearing belt system should use a suspender harness with it, your hips and back will thank you in the long run (even when it is more rigid). This also contributes to long term wearing, and when being in the line kit application (say worn when doing tasks or labor even when you don't have your PC/ CR/ whatever other load of line kit on) will alleviate unnecessary strain in localized/ focal nature and parts of the body when it can be better distributed, just some food for thought. It is also going to be far more comfortable on patrols and long distance movements-- I like how you brought up wrapping the belt around the ruck/ pack on movements too, that is a great point. - Glad you brought up the medical placement and vehicle incompatibility aspect. Same goes for the holster-- having a pistol on or very near the hip or crux of hip is extremely annoying/ uncomfortable and much more arduous to access (also gets in the way at times of seat belt buckle latch) when seated in a vehicle, that was a major issue on certain Contract work for me (and the same complaint my LE circle friends have), which is why we in part prefer and still use drop leg holsters to keep the pistol out of the way in a more comfortable placement and ease of access. (Also why some put their pistol in their chest rig higher up, or on a vest-mounted holster placement for chest draw due to the confined and accessible space within vehicles, that's been talked about in the HS server per some GWOT use configuration.) Of course, that is all subjective and curtailing to individual application and reliance of vehicle dynamics/ use. - I dig the Fannypack use there too, another aspect of exigent line kit that can be donned/ doffed independent of the other tiers of line kit, smart bit of gear. I also use one for Medical or to carry my NOD, whatever the need is but I usually have it on me no matter what when combat gear is being used (Chest Rig is my flavor).
As a prepared citizen I have other equipment like a chest rig or other stuff but one thing I like most about the belt is not only that it only takes a few seconds to put my belt on but also with my rifle with two point sling I actually like the way it huges your body more instead of hanging further out off your chest
I can’t tell based on the lighting if that axl is the old tegris version but apparently they’ve switched to curve which is a superior material and what’s used in the Haley belt. I saw the Haley belt on release and it’s got my attention, seems like the best overall option on the market for most dudes, there are selling points for other belts imo like the DM mech & Baer wojtek but overall the Haley seems like the solid in between option. Good video, I’ve enjoyed you content and hope you continue.
@ I’d be curious if the curve is also thicker than the tegris on the older version or if the improved properties of curve mitigate the issues you’ve described. Defense mechanisms for example uses a double layer of tegris in their mech belt likely for this exact reason. If the properties of curve are this much better then I hope everyone switches over which I think they will, I’ve seen a few companies already do it such dynamic principles which is basically just better goobers belt and curve also is better under IR light as well and can be sourced in a black/grey color or a coyote-ish brown vs that ugly tegris mess
Both curv and tegris can have different thicknesses (6, 9, 12 layer options for both). Axl probably used a 6layer tegris and Haley might be using 12. The differences between curv and tegris are minor.
Yes as someone who used to be a turret gunner that's what I'd use it for, however HSP's website says it's not meant for that. So it's a vestigial part.
@sectorseven07 Most of the manufacturers do say that because of the Cobra buckle. The materials are strong enough to hold two men but the buckle is the problem because in case of an accident you can't release it if it has tension on it....anyway that what I know but most of the Rangers were issued the Ronin belt.....
@@tagairsoft Yeah I am not a fan of the model of "We know people will use it for that but to absolve ourselves of liability well tell them not to on our website." Model of things for PPE utilized by taxpayer funded human assets.
How does the Ferro Concepts Bison Belt stack up to these? I have that belt but I need to get another IFAK and spend more time with it. I hardly EVER wear it.
It was originally meant for helo ops like you said, and they just left it on a cheaper buckle to cut cost and give the look is my guess. Then they say it's not load bearing so they absolve themselves from any liability if its used that way. 🤷
@@traubd agreed but then id have a balance issue with three pouches stacked on the left. Not likely to use the light if I have a rifle in hand, meaning I can just draw the light and toss it to me left hand unlike my multi tool, which I cant toss to my left hand if I have a rifle in hand.

that core belt 😍
Good belt for the price
Seems legit, ive been in the market and had my eye on the Agilite magnetix belt. Same price point so this is a good contender.
Great video
Just switched from the Ronin belt to the Kore. I think the ratchet system is really cleaver. We'll see how it holds up
I think it aids in speed to get on and helps a lot with tightness for sure.
