Thought that was an interesting take as well. I’m 6’ tall and 208 but I wear between a 31-32 depending on the brand and I always considered that medium. Looks like I wear a small.
Purchased my D3 Belt this past Sunday. Like Travis said, it takes 2 seconds to measure your waist size, I think I took 3.5 seconds but I had to first find a price of string then measure that string. If measuring your waist it too daunting of a task I’d say swing by your local outdoor store, buy a nylon belt, and then just slap on your budget choice of accoutrements and be happy with that. Really looking forward to receiving my order and playing around with my layout. Thanks HSP
@@christopherross3934 Ronin Tactics belts have been out for years. I do like the D3 belt a little more though I already have the Ronin belt due to the extra webbing for adjustments not taking up molle space.
Been enjoying your products for a while both in competition and hunting. A request if you might be willing to entertain it: when you do the Load Rated version can you include a provision for leg loops and possibly an upper harness attachment? It would be a big deal for many hunters like myself who use stands in some areas and seasons, where the upper body restraint is particularly important for safety (so people falling asleep don’t get flipped upside down!) but it would also make it one of the few serious solutions for a full climbing harness.
Would be awesome if you guys had belt packages all put together so it could just be a single order. Or a build a belt option when there is just a scroll down options menus to add what you want. D3 belt with 2 pistol mags, 1 rifle, dump bag, TQ/Med kit And SL holster.
I saw the title and thought how is he going to tap into the tactical belt market. Is he just going to copy others or improve the design? He improved it.
I bought a duty belt similar to this about a year and a half ago. I like this one even better from what I see. Unfortunately, about a year ago, my department stopped allowing personally procured duty gear and mandated some truly janky pleather Bianchi basket weave garbage duty issued gear only. Becuase it "looks better than nylon." Otherwise I'd most likely upgrade to this belt and perhaps some of the pouches as well.

Thank You.🇺🇸
Ya'll forgot to mention that most duty holsters have 2 -2.25 inch belt mounts....2 inch belt mount to 2 inch belt means no canting and wobble and no need for a leg strap
Do you guys think you’ll ever add the D-ring to your cobra buckles? Can someone please tell me the model of the gloves in the thumbnail? I’m pretty sure they’re Outdoor Research but I can never find them when I search OR.
I have a Bison Belt and my "biggest" complaint (albeit a small one) is the way the excess belt is stowed away with that hook & loop cable tie thing. It does loosen over time and if you're a small dude like me, where the size Small has some slack, then it can get annoying. The way you reversed the excess belt is a nice touch and I have a feeling more companies will follow this idea.
I have an AWS that is load rated for something dumb, but my shit will not budge even though the excess is routed to the outside. I absolutely have to feed it through and then pull if I want to take up or make slack. Could just be that it's only a few months old and it hasn't softened up yet.
Can you define what it means on your web description of the D3 Belt when it states "not meant for horizontal positioning"? Can your belt really not handle going prone?
I’ve been told that the inner/outer belt is less than desirable than in vehicles due to not allowing the battle belt to shift to accommodate the seated position. Any input?
Currently looking for a replacement for the issued padded war belt. However, I need to be able to secure two boxes of 7.62 to the belt and I’m concerned that 14 pounds of M80 ball plus my ifak and dump pouch might be more weight than the hook and loop sub belt can secure to my body without significant shift or play during movement. How much weight has this belt system been tested with?
Hello HSP, you probably answered this somewhere but i'm too lazy to search for it 😋. What was the reasoning behind the lack of D-RING ? I guess since the belt isn't load rated (most of them aren't, anyway, outside of the CHLK belt, and again that's a very specific belt to begin with) there's no reason to have one, correct ?
