I appreciate the caveat about not going into debt over stuff like this. The temptation is always there to “rush” and buy everything you can. With as expensive as life is getting now it’s good to factor is fiscal responsibility into this.
Very interesting breakdown, and I appreciate the level of detail you went into and why you selected specific pieces of kit. Also, kudos for opening with a 'don't bankrupt yourself' advisory. It's always to tempting to want everything RIGHT NOW, but with the world and the economy the way they are, being fiscally responsible is incredibly important. I do own my own NV capability, and it set me back a fair bit, but was the culmination of something I'd wanted since a young age so I consider the outlay worth it. I'll now be focused on paying off the resultant debt before investing in anything else so expensive! Looking forward to more videos from you :)
Would you and izzy consider making a joint channel kind of like they way yall did videos for shift fire? P.S: Great video, i love the way you explain your kit, keep up the great work❤
I jave a ronin shenshi as well have ran it for over 7 years now and have never once had an issue with it still looks like new minus some mud stains on it
Compared to you I feel like I'm spare partsing my way into the cool guy stuff. >Opscore helmet with really good fixings Me: Literally got a repurposed CVC helmet, you know, basically an ACH with high cuts (it might stop a bullet? it's still got the old stickers and marks from original manufacturing). It's got the helmet rails and the NODs mount. Default mil spec pads, numb spots for days. Somehow got into some comtacs, same deal. Soooo coool. I'll never get it as good as yours.
Awesome video Cam. I believe you've said before that you would run flashbangs or extra mags on your back, is your current setup a departure from that? Possible video improvements: On-screen acronyms. Not necessarily needed but can help if you are willing to put the extra editing work in.
Thanks for the feedback! Great observation. On my old kit, we didn't run assault packs or similar so we had the real estate to attach banger pouches. I prefer to flatpack as you can put inserts inside to hold pouches and have space for other items. I will also use rubber bands to mount flash bangs on the back of my cummerbund for my battle buddies to use.
Happy to hear you got a technician license I’m KD7TYS from Northern Arizona I am older and retired but get into the military preparedness. Where would I get a protractor for land nav
Very informative! I always like to see what each and every person puts on their kit, so I can take certain things I like and apply to my own I was considering a Magnetic piece to use primarily for retention, but never realized there's a "tactical" brand made for one. Plus you're the first I've seen using one. That being said, my biggest concern in getting one is how strong are those magnets... I know you've somewhat mentioned in the video, but in your experience, how reliable is the retention strength for those magnets?
Thanks! the magnets have worked well for me. Sometimes they can be a little too strong if you run two magnets but I haven't had problems with running only one of them. I need to jerry rig some bungee in order to retain the shotgun when walking distance.
Do y’all put 4 mags or 3 mags in the front? (If you only put 3 where tf do you put the rest of your mags- for a total of 7?) this is the biggest question I’m asking myself lately
Mission dependent. I do not personally like to double stack magazine on the front of my plate carrier because it becomes to bulky and is difficult if you need to lay in the prone position. However, if I need to carry more, that is always an option. I run 4 mags on the front, one on my "fast mag" on my belt, one in the gun, and I can use my spud pouch on my belt for 2 more to put me at 8 mags on my person. I can also keep more mags in my flatpack for my squad mates.
I've found electrical tape to just get sticky and gooey and slide all over the place and then leave a sticky residue that doesn't come off. I absolutely hate it and don't even like using it for electrical applications either.
I do not recall the exact brand since I have had this bag since I was in the Army and it is not marked. The closest thing on the web I can find to it is the MOJO CSI and SEE bag.
what state do you live in? is CQB something you ever thought of teaching? I'm going into theChicago police academy soonish and want a former SOF guy to train me/ learn from

It was an easy choice!

Great content man! Can’t wait for the next vid!
Appreciate it!
Excellent video review of a quality kit. Well done! Subscribed. Looking forward to additional content. Thanks.
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Solid video
Awesome video brother. Appreciate you.

Maybe they have to wait a certain amount of time before doing it.
Edit: A non-compete agreement in a contract is the thought.
Woah that's legit man 🎉, so any joint channels in the future? 🤔
Great vid, next time you go to milsim west make sure to have a gopro, would love to see this gear in action!

Great detailed video and awesome explanation of your philosophy of use
38:55 Small collapsible backpack is great idea for SSE or casualty gear storage separate from your own stuff. Great idea!
Great kit. I'm in an assault / shock unit in Ukraine and run a shockingly similar setup. Good stuff bro, cheers.
For years my partners question me on my suspenders. Funny thing , many of them are using them now.

I’ve moved to a fanny pack Ifak because you can have a ifak in or out of kit and dont have to keep 3 stocked ifaks (chest rig plate carrier and belt)
Insightful info; commenting for the algorithms. What type of plates did you go with?
I just have standard US issue ESAPI Plates currently, but looking to upgrade to DFNDR armor soon.
I dig the regiment neon decal ❤️❤️

Ranger Joes sells great protractors we used in the military

Hey Cam. Where did you get the button down? I wanna rock the swag mechanic look too.
it is an Arcteryx button down I got from US elite gear

Do they make goggles that can go over glasses (for those that are visually impaired 😁)

7:15 the 4D Zero G helmet pads… are those the standard or deluxe (extra thick)?
Do a video of your rifle setup!

Great Video man.....
Buuuuuut, why no NVG's? You have $5,000-$8,000 worth of gear there, but no night vision capabilities.
Like I said in the video, this set up has taking me years to acquire and build. NODS are expensive lol, but they are in my future.
