    Kolby is correct, a few lucky souls have networked their way to get in front of a manager. As Kolby said, a current territory manager who was impressed enough to get them in front of a manager, and then at that point, knocks the interview out of the park.

    Hi, Kolby! Thank you for this great video. I found your follow up tactic to be INVALUABLE. Never thought of it that way. Whats your opinion of someone who had a DUI that was dropped to a reckless and driving with alcohol involved yet their mugshot is still on the internet... asking for a friend
    Do you find that to be a deal breaker, even if it’s a first time offense?

    Any chance you'd consult on how you'd answer certain interview questions regarding sales experience when you have none?

      I have some of those completed in my hiring program. Also, address those directly in coaching sessions.

    My question to you is how do you convey your interest and commitment in sales while simultaneously disliking the cold calling aspect? In my experience no sales rep likes cold calling!! Is it okay to be truthful about that? Or is it considered a deal breaker?

    • @KolbyWoodMedicalSales
      @KolbyWoodMedicalSales  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well if you're with the right company, you won't have to do much cold calling. That being said, I think it comes down to putting in work you may not enjoy doing bc it's going to be a key driver in growing your business and making more money. I prob wouldn't say "I don't like cold calling". Id rather say "I'm willing to do whatever I have to do to be successful".

    Are there any good books or courses that you can recommend for someone without sales experience looking to get into the field?

      No books I'm aware of specifically on med sales. A number of courses available though. Med sales college could be helpful if you are looking for a paid program.

      I suggest reading: the psychology of selling by Brian Tracy. He goes into depth about subconscious beliefs that we carry that prevent us from being successful in certain situations and or in life

    Hey Kolby, I just graduated nursing school and am trying to get into medical sales and was wondering if you had any advice on how to find companies to apply to? I've put in several applications with a big company but want to spread my applications out. Any resources on different companies would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Kolby, thx for your videos! I have questions about getting job. If I have more than 8 years medical/pharmaceutical sales experience not in USA, (I was worked in Armenia for big pharmaceutical companies like a GSK, KRKA and Les Laboratories Servier as territory head sales person) is it real to get gut position in this area?

    This video has been very helpful! Follow me on LinkedIn. My name is Patrick Hill and I appreciate your advice and insight on this industry. I am more than motivated to be in Medical Sales and I serious about sales. I have been in sales for about 3 years and I love to be on top. I love to eat what I kill and be in friendly competition with other coworkers. You have to be a carnivore in this industry. I do music and sing on the side but I love sales because I feel like its in my blood. I just need to get the clinical side! Teach me Kolby! Thanks again
