    Loved the video. I disliked video at first, because this is more for people with no experience in the field, but as I kept watching he did mention this and the attributes he brings to the field to compensate for not having that clinical experience, which is A+. As someone who does have a medical background, I will add that a company loves when you are a user of their product and can speak on it because you see both sides as a consumer and a rep if you land that role. 10/10 recommend.

    Hi! I just want to say that I appreciate these videos that you're making because they're isn't much information about medical sales and you're showing all of the true and raw content that it truly takes to become one! I'm a senior in college and I knew I wanted to be a medical sales rep since my sophomore year of high school. I am doing everything in my power to network with as many recruiters, medical sales reps, directors, and sales associates as I can to break into this position with no other experience other than 5 years of being a restaurant server. I'm absorbing all of your information like a sponge! Thank you

    Jacob, nice name.
    We share a similar background. Personal Training. I just applied to the MSC internship, after watching your last video I think my ambitions have changed. Not to mention several people I have reached out to that are already in the industry, have all said it's a joke.

    Great job! This video was not only informative but will definitely help me in the future. I'm a 15 year veteran and will be joining the civilian workforce soon. This video has helped answer some questions I had. Keep up the hard-work. I'm sure you are crushing it!

    Hi Jacob! First of all, I absolutely love your channel and positive energy you're radiating!
    Have you ever had to do present company's product to an interviewer (who happens to be sales manager)? I'm just wondering if this is a thing in The States as well (I'm from Slovenia and still in the process of interviewing). Any tips on the topic? I plan to make a presentation and present it to established reps I know, so I can improve it prior the interview :)

    • @newtomedicaldevicesales
      @newtomedicaldevicesales  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Spela thank you so much for the kind words!! This is a thing in the states, but I actually never had to do this for my interview process. I know some reps had to and the best advice I can give is reaching out to reps already in that position so they can give you the best topics to spend your time on and also the best products they sell! Reviewing the company’s website and talking with other reps will only benefit you! Sounds like you’re doing all the right things and wish you luck with your interviews!

    I love this video , thank you Jacob, You didn"t show this binder to the companies until the IN person interviews though right? Or did you also make a digital copy and send it to them after the first initial phone call?

    Jacob, did you at one point during your 6 month(ish) journey to become a rep use medreps? If so, when? If not, can you elaborate? Really loving your videos here and they are totally helping.

    • @newtomedicaldevicesales
      @newtomedicaldevicesales  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alexander, I never used medreps! I know a lot of people who did and had success, I just never did because I believed that my networking would get the outcome I was looking for, but I do believe it’s a great resource

    This is great. Who did you land with as I know you are in the industry now? I am in the process with a couple major companies and you are spot on. The process definitely takes quite a long time. The not knowing is the hardest part ha. Thanks for the video!

      Yes, I forgot I was already connected with you before I wrote this message lol. This is really helpful though and I’ve just recently created an action plan for the first interview (not as good as your binder) but it went over well and I’m a finalist!:)
