The scratches I have are on horizontal surfaces here and there, from the cat zooming across the seat and backrest of the couch when invisible demons are chasing him. They are long and short lines, rather shallow and very little pull (not like scratches on the sides from kneading and sharpening that have pulled up fibers, if that makes sense?) I just want to color the scratches in so they're not as visible.

If you only have contact for a few seconda it should discolor it at all.

You mentioned that you used three different tones for that repair. Can you please list which tone colors you used? I have a sofa I want to make it look close to that, and Amazon has many colors to choose from. Thanks

In this repair, we use chocolate brown, dark brown, mahogany, and very little black. It's multi tone so takes a some time.

Hahaha yes a scratching post with catnip on it helps they usually stop after that. And spray vinegar on your sofa arms! Good luck!
