    Are you excited about the arrival of Brightline to Orlando? What would you like to see in my full episode during the inaugural trip to Miami?

      I'm very excited about this. I would love to take the train down south to visit my kids instead of driving down. I'd like to know the time it takes from Orlando to each stop and pricing once that's known.

      Let’s ride on the inaugural trip to Miami if regular people are allowed???
      Does anybody have any idea what months service from Orlando starts? They’re just saying the second quarter, which is sort of a broad answer.

      I meant to write, I’d like to ride on the trip to Miami if regular people are allowed on the first trip. Of course I know I have to buy a ticket:)

      I would venture between July and September.

    I have heard Brightline will operate with revenue service to Orlando in the second quarter. Thus, no later than June 30th.

    I want to know if Brightline is coming to Tampa for sure or not, and if so, when? Also, will the station be in Ybor city?

    • @TheOrlandoGuy
      @TheOrlandoGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are plans to complete the loop to Tampa by 2028 and yes a station in Ybor is planned.

      @@TheOrlandoGuy Thank you for replying. I called and emailed Brightline, and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. When I called the lady who answered said that she didn't know anything. When I emailed them they responded that they basically were still talking about it! That lady also said that it would take five years! I don't understand why everything takes so long in Florida. They put up a whole freeway in six months in California. Here everything takes ten years! I want that train here yesterday!

      @@TheOrlandoGuy Is Ybor The part of Tampa, that is the older part of Tampa and has the old Spanish restaurant there?

    • @TheOrlandoGuy
      @TheOrlandoGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ybor City is a neighborhood just north of downtown Tampa. Yes, the Columbia Restaurant is in Ybor and is Florida’s oldest restaurant founded in 1905.

    The work arounds for Reedy Creek sound interesting. I am curious how this will all work.

    Do you know if once the Orlando station opens will there be a shuttle or something else to any of the attractions like Disney World, Universal etc.?

    • @TheOrlandoGuy
      @TheOrlandoGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      At the moment, you can use any shuttle or ride sharing service once you arrive at the Airport Transportation Center. You may have to take an APM to the Main Terminal to catch those shuttles, although they are also leaving from the new Terminal C as well. Once the Sunshine Corridor has been completed, you will be able to switch to the SunRail train to get to International Drive and the new Epic Universe theme park. If more shuttles become available directly from the train station, I'll let you know.

      @@TheOrlandoGuy Thank you very much. Like before I had tried emailing Brightline with this question, and again they don't seem to know anything. You're the only one who seems to know anything. Thanks again!

    I thought they’ve been testing for over a year now.

    • @TheOrlandoGuy

      Hi! Yes, they have in South Florida. This high speed testing is now moving from West Palm Beach to Orlando. Starting tomorrow they will be testing the trains at 125 mph from Cocoa to MCO and such.

    Much like the Walt Disney World Railroad has folksy "conductor" narration as guests pass by interesting sites, I hear the high-speed rail will have something similar, but this one will be done by Steve Woodmore. Any truth to this rumor?

    • @PepperTreeVilla
      @PepperTreeVilla ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the narration should be done by Richard Howard.
