Thanks Chris for promoting Orlando. Everything you said is true based on my two year resident experience here in Orlando. Moved from Mid-Atlantic area. Most people here are happy. Big contrast. Living among jolly people is very helpful to physical and mental health.
The best thing about being a long time Orlando resident is no matter where you travel to, you always look forward to coming home to the most awesome city where everyone wants to vacation. There is always something to do here on the weekend. Thank you for promoting our wonderful city.
I rented from Dollar last month, quick easy and convenient. I used directions without tolls and drove all over for free. Just try to keep out of the left lanes, so you don’t accidentally get charged.
All this advice is spot on, we flew into Tampa for our Orlando vacation, tickets were almost $100 cheaper per person, which saved us $400, about an hour drive to Disney, also, we visited in July, the humidity was unbearable, and we’were chased out of the waterparks because of lightning, people will do well to take your advice Chris.
Thanks Chris for showing more of Orlando than Disneyworld. I was there as a teenager as I won a 3 day trip to Disneyworld, Sea world ,and the Daytona 500 races. I have a good friend who liked tō visit from CT ,and about 6 yrs ago bought a second home, a 2-Bedroom modular unit on a lake. He goes down 5-6 times a year to escape the cold and snowy Winter's here. H e does have a good friend to look after his home there .I may have to visit in the near future as I love Disneyworld.
Chris, Orlando is one of the best places, if you’re renting a car, to actually rent a vacation home! Our last two trips, in Jan 2017 and Dec 2019/Jan 2020, we rented really nice big vacation homes in suburban Davenport (2000 sq ft and four bedrooms with a private pool) only about eight miles away from Disney, for less than $150/ night
Additional topics perhaps: (1) time-sharing condo rentals; (2) budget alternatives in Kissimmee etc; (3) the outstanding restaurants in Epcot and their reservation system
I went to the ICON McDonal's to hide the heary thunderstorm by accident in July 2022. The golden arches sign was the only thing I could see on highway in heavy rain.
You are the Bomb, sir! I can't thank you enough for how much you made my trip! Thank you so much. FYI I have been watching your videos since way back and learned a lot about Las Vegas thanks to you. Keep being awesome, and I appreciate everything you do.
sand lake road has many great restaurants about 500, with all types of food that Mcdonalds' you referring to is on sand lake I-drive the town is called dr Phillips you need to go to Gideons cookies . one in winter park the other in Disney spring , it opens at 10 but you better get there at 9 for the one at Disney springs the other one has no waiting
I've only been to Orlando twice, and funny enough, both trips were business trips, so I only got to see downtown Orlando. It's quite a nice city overall. I would like to go back at some point to check out some of the attractions. I'm glad that there are other cool things to do there beside just the theme parks!
I'm Italian and I will be in Miami, if I take a flight from Miami to Orlando and then I will return in Miami, the security check IN and OUT in Orlando Airport will be so long or fast?
next time you come to go to winter garden village, you will love it they have a train museum it's a beautiful village, you can check it out on you tube now they have a live feed ,I think they video from that museum
there are brand new hotels around the corner from Disneyworld on flamingo and western way, they have kitchens in them and a brand-new shopping center, and great views of the fireworks, they are right behind magic kingdom and a lot cheaper, I would rent a car and stay there since Disney has taken away many perks
look up hotels on flamingo crossing and western way there are 5 hotels in that area and there is a brand new shopping area right there with all types of restaurants fast food and sit down, a target and wallgreens
If you decide to go to downtown Orlando, just be wary that there are a lot of transient people. They're mostly harmless but will likely ask you for money. It is also a massive party destination in the evenings and latter half of the week, so not super kid-friendly during those times.
Hi Chris, are there hotels in Orlando you recommend that are easy to get from to the theme park? Are the dates 25 - 29 of December going to be too packed?
If you stay near the Orlando World Center Marriott that's pretty easy access to Disney World. And yes.. between Christmas and New Years will be packed.. but if that's the only time you can go I guess you just deal with it
International Drive is to Orlando as Harbor Blvd is to Buena Park and Anaheim , Knotts Berry Farm and the Disneyland/Dis Cal Adventure. Are there partner hotels with Dis World like Disneyland has with the hotels off park premises? Just curious

Orlando is one of the best cities in Florida I have lived! Love Florida in general
Be sure to stop by downtown winter garden, that place is gorgeous.
Thanks for the tip Captain!
Agreed. Winter Park also
dont go in any lake in Orlando there will be alligators in them and that includes the man-made lakes, they search for water

That's a good deal for a whole house!

Very informative. 👍
I went to the ICON McDonal's to hide the heary thunderstorm by accident in July 2022. The golden arches sign was the only thing I could see on highway in heavy rain.
A good place to hide out!

Thanks Jeannified!
So if we wont have a car we should stay on I drive because there is transportation to all the parks, malls and coffee shops? Is that correct?
Hi Chris. Thanks for the great info. Nice to know that there are a lot more smaller attractions to check out than just the big ones. Take care.
Thanks James!

I wonder what's the cheapest way to buy universal studios tickets for an adult? And is an airbnb cheaper than a hotel?
Very nice. You are able to explain things in which we are not interestet to make it interesting for us. Thanks and Greetings from Germany

Parking is free @ UOR after 6pm ... unless there's a special event.
Stayed at the Waldorf Astoria with the Disney view.

the summers are unbearable . if its 90 degrees it is really 109 due to the humidity
For sure! Ooof!
I take it Las Vegas is the best place for u

Most toll roads, especially exits, DON"T take cash. Electronic only!
Don’t know where to start
There is a city in Florida called land o lakes…..,
I do suggest Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show.
Thanks for the tip Chris!
@@YellowProductions and it’s on I Drive and it’s next to Icon Park (the plaza to the left if you’re looking at it with your back to the street).
And if you want more suggestions, let me know. I live outside of Orlando, about half hour south of Disney.
Forget DW, go to UOR!
Stay away from the pine hills area
And Sanford too!!!😂
Lakes have alligators, keep little kids away from water.
12:10 the signs are up because a kid got killed by an alligator
What is there to actually do in Orlando other than wrestling gators? 🤷
