Cool man to let that old man win... You guys recognized the hard work and lead him to the finish. I like that. I'm a 48 old rider myself. I always escape with the group of youngsters during the rides but after that they always drop me, and I have to ride with the rest when they wheel me back in.... lol. Great video man and thanks for sharing about the chainrings

Love my AB oval chainrings, particularly the small ring for climbing, it feels like you have an extra low gear. I have dropped the chain a few times changing from large to small ring so I would advise putting on a chain catcher especially for racing. Cheers from across The Ditch.

Hi new subscriber here from U.K. and I absolutely love your video. I am looking at changing to these oval rings and wondered what size rings you have installed on the front? I want the speed but also want to increase my efficiency on mountain climbs. Many thanks 😊

What size chainrings and cassette did you race with on this video?
I’m just getting into roadbiking. And just upgraded my crank and also replaced my chainrings with these black oval you have here. Got everything installed today. Couldn’t test ride too much because it’s been raining but the 4 miles I tested and mainly lots of hills here in my streets, they felt good.

So far, i havent seen any hard science indicating they work. As an engineer and someone understanding the human body is not a machine...something else than round might make sense.
So far, i've only done 18 km on my MTB with oval rings.
    Feels ok.
I really do like the look of the absolute black, so just for that i might put them om the road bike. Bling is life right?

@clean cyclist my absolute black ovals shift as well as the dura-ace native ones. no problems there. new generation derailleurs seem to be much more relaxed in regards to the chainring gap/position. it wasnt pretty with older ones. the 105 also doesnt upshift them as well as the ultegra/dura-ace di2 do.
