Charlie Johnson I think that the old saying " with age comes wisdom " is true. Being that we're probably both in that Older Child age group. We certainly were born into The Rock Era and for that were all a little richer. I grew up on rock music from the50's, 60's and on. I feel badly for the kids of today, they are royally being screwed out of their musical heritage . Some of them actually know it too. Personally I don't tell anybody what they should be listening to but I got to say that it impresses the hell out of me when some sixteen or seventeen knows of CCR, Zep or Grand Funk. Some body is still listening to this stuff, besides us .

That is some great Rock n Roll these Swedes are playing. Adding Albert Lee is just fabulous. I also like that single higher tone sax instead of those huge bass saxes. Fantastic post!

Now, all I have is TH-cam - lol. I love my history. Fans of the Arctics and the like will nver know what we had. Mikey xx
Brandolph, we've done the same thing with today's singing, if you can call it that at all. Listen to any Four Freshmen album or any live performance. They were the best, even teaching many groups their four part harmony, as they did for Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. All accomplished musicians, all played instruments, years and years of practice, and Group 24 still carries on the great sound that began in 1948!!
wish you could hear Buddy Fite, rather hard to get a listen but, well worth the effort. I knew him in Portland, quite the musician. Sorry to have lost him.

this has such a good feel - i can't help but tap my feet to it. I don't know what gives it that - think it's something about relationship between the bass, dummer and Johan Blohms' left hand line. but good God it's good!
