See the thing is it wasn't EA that made this but another group altogether. Neither Disney or EA could ever tell a story this tight. They are way to set in their dogma.
Respawn Entertainment did a fantastic job at paying attention to detail. I'm just surprised they were able to have so much agency over an IP like Star Wars.
Honestly Respawn likely couldn’t either. They brought in a lot of outside help since they never made an action game before, only 1st person shooters. For instance they brought in Stig Asmussen to be the Game Director for Fallen Order. Stig worked as a creative director for God of War 1 and 2 before becoming the Game Director of GOW 3. He’s one of the best guys you can get if you’re going to make an action game as he was an interracial part of creating arguably the greatest action franchise in gaming history.

They allowed you to use the Staff Saber. Nuff said. I dig it.
And now the next game allows you use 5 different Saber Styles.

So i was 15 at the time and it was christmas, im waiting for my presants when i unrap one and i see my dad got me a pre orders star wars fallen order. This game was a joy to play, loved the story and i beat it in a month. Come back 2 years later now you can get the fucking red light saber yep definatly gonna play again.
It's nice to see a good star wars game come out for the next generation. Warms my heart. I grew up on the Jedi Knight games and felt very similar when I was a teen playing those.

I could see the brilliance of "good art is not created, it is stolen from other good art" when I first played this game. It's a really solid re-tread of classic ideas.
This really spoke to how i feel about the characters and story of Fallen Order. Well done.

They should make a Star Wars game like Morrowind. The great things about Morrowind is you get to decide if you want to be the hero, or just go off and do something else.
I mean, if they made KOTOR more open world it would be kind of like it in some ways.

This game worked not just because of the great heroes journey story it was telling. It was just a good game. A good STAR WARS game that came from EA. Even tho they didn’t make it.

You put a lot of work in the edit and script. I suggest the video would gain from being re-posted starting directly at the title screen of your video essay without the wasted time in the intro.
Thanks for the feedback. However I think pre-framing the comparison between the OT and the game is helpful and will appeal to people who may not be as familiar with the game.

That's fair, honestly I plan on being a bit more concise in future videos like I was in my RuneScape video.
I feel bad for the actor’s from sequels they needed to act out the films with the terrible script and directors acticting like brats not being able to work toughether in planning the films
I do too especially the way they reacted to not being associated to the franchise after the fact.
The Sequels are great. Better than most Star Wars stories.

The two main problems with this game I have is this one you cannot become Inquisitor and two there are unskippable cutscenes
What about the dreadful map system and the lack of fast travel? Surely they are above those two. Cut scenes are annoying but not even close to these two imo
Fair, it does mean the narrative can continue in a more stable way when you don't have that choice, but I get it.
