Thanks for posting. Really interesting to see how the evaporator looks after it's bent. i just warned my client about this problem last week. They had a malfunctioning bin switch that caused the ice to back up. The machine was also way over due for a cleaning.
THERE IS A WAY TO FIX IT. We have done it here at Brooks Industries in Oklahoma City for 30 years. Just remove the cube guide in the bottom then slide a piece of unistrut down through the evap. Have the open side of the unistrut against the top of the evap so it won't smash the fin. Then just pull it to bend the evap back in shape. You might have to straighten the spot where the unistrut made contact with needle nose so the water guides will fit back. Pretty simple, I have done it hundreds of times, no big deal.

Can you explain what tool and how it works to fix the bent evaporator? I’m afraid if damaging our machine but it’s bent
