@@Joshsclips Also, I think a lot of people remember their childhood with rose coloured glasses. They forget the bad bits. Granted, some have better childhoods than others. 🙂
Jacob Collier is the Messiah of modern music. There is no one else even close to him. Check out Moon River, All Night Long, The Flintstones... or anything he does, really.
While this song is lovely like others in the Mahogany Sessions, his genius, especially harmonically or as a multi instrumentalist is better showcased in Moon River, All Night Long, Hideaway, World O World, Don't You Know (with Snarky Puppy), the Stevie Wonder covers, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and Little Blue Mahogany or even the Flintstones which also won a Grammy. He does this song on guitar also and check out A Rock Somewhere studio version which has Indian influences from Shankar.

His line at the end about every child trying to grow up as fast as possible, only to regret it and wish we could go back… makes me cry, indeed
🙂 I understand what you mean. To be fair, though, I would never want to go back to the nightmare of being a child - lol.
@@rjjsreactions-rk7zh I definitely get that, I’d hate to lose the freedoms of adulthood lol

Just now getting around to this, but thank you for taking the recommendation :) glad you enjoyed it
My pleasure! It was a great recommendation. 🙂
@@rjjsreactions-rk7zh you mentioned that you have a long list of stuff to get to, should we be expecting more Jacob soon or will it be some time?
@@Joshsclips Not too, too long for Jacob. 🙂

He has certainly impressed me with just the couple of songs I've listened to so far. More to come. 🙂
