Great informative video mate , great to see both the new & old side by side, makes it much easier to understand the differences, not sure on that new battery holding system, looks like a bit more of a faff to move the battery back & fore than the b6.4, but I might be looking at it wrong, moved my battery back last night on very high grip carpet, made the car much better for my driving anyway, be interested to see what you think of the b7 after yr race next week 👍
Appreciate it my friend! id agree its a little more faff to change , I guess its a good thing we dont do it all the time. I like to run it as far forward as possible for carpet.. will find out this weekend if its the same on the B7. Cheers!
Having driven both , you can setup a car to suit that style of driving either way. Probably some other things to consider when choosing would be the TLR is long overdue and update and the availability isn’t great at the moment. That being said when that’s sorted the TLR is a great platform! I’d say the B7 is a very stable car.. meaning if you are aggressive like me it can calm you down and be better overall!
In the area of the chassis where the ESC and receiver sit the B6.4 was wider than its predecessors. I liked this as it gave more space for these items and I was tempted to get one mainly for this reason. Has the B7 gone back to being narrower in this area?
Nice overview. I barely used my B6.4 and yet I've now got a B7D in the box to build. Hopefully race more this year at TORCH and Mid South.
Likewise... I used my B6.4 maybe 5 times! haha. I may see you there! thank you.
Lol I just got my used B6.4 about 3 months ago and I already want to upgrade lol
Not run B7 yet
Love your comprehensive reviews - brilliant. Thank you❗
Very welcome! Thanks for watching ,
Really valuable comparison, thanks for sharing 👍
My pleasure!
Great Comparison vid! Appreciate this!
Very welcome! Appreciate it.
The B7 looks fantastic. There's a bit of XRay in that battery holder. I wonder how well the motor is held in place with just bottom mounting.
She’s a beauty! I’m actually just recording the electric install , so you will see it in closer detail soon 👍 thanks for watching!

Great vid 🏁
Cheers MH!
Whats better for agressive late braking style? TLR or AE?

Did some come with the anti roll bars?
Mine came with front and rear :)

I haven’t measured , but certainly is plenty of space!
Just wondering but would the b7 bodyshell fit the b6.4?
I’ll test it later!
The original b6 had the steel diff plate
Loved the original B6 , that will be my vintage car in the future!
@@SeanyRC I just turned mine into a late model oval
I feel like it’s more of a carpet car even if you eat the dirt version. Cool car though
For sure.. although they do have the ‘D’ version!
What makes you say that?
@@SeanyRC yeah a few of the fast guys already have the dirt version at my track. I’ll get to see one up close next week
You pay all that money for b7. Why can't they cut out the shell for you?
It’s just a standard in RC the shells are uncut.. also with the B7 you have two cut lines should you choose to run a fan in the set location.
