Went with the Nexx x-vilijord carbon nomad light because of the x com 2 integration. Also the pointed chin on the traveller helped with my decision. Nothing against Touratech, I rock many of their products! Saved a few bucks by ordering from Europe.
The anti-grab peak works well. The rubber on the lower edge around the perimeter immediately started falling apart as it wasn't sealed thoroughly all around from the factory. I needed to reseal with glue most of it. Same thing with the seal between the chin bar and the main helmet body, had to glue that on both sides ( left, right). Other than that it is well made. The noise level is acceptable but definitely worse than Schubert C3 Pro and C4 Pro but those are slightly different helmets however most of us are coming from the Schubert. I use a nice set of earplugs when riding with this helmet which is what we need to do in first place. Never quite felt that need with Schubert. Overal I am happy. Some getting used to as anything new. Not readily available tinted visor nor tinted pinlock. Maybe Touratech will release some in near feature.
I really like all the features of the helmet, nailed it on the head for that. But I didn't hear in the video any specifications of safety ratings or safety features on the helmet? I'll look into it further when I'm in the market for a new helmet, I'm sure its good. I really like seeing things like mips and Kororyd, and a DOT is the bare minimum for helmets obviously, but snell and ECE are far better. My next helmet will need better than dot now that I know better.
Look like great helmet but they are very expensive in Canada; they are sold over 1000$ Canadian. At this price point, sorry, but i prefer to stick with my hand made Arai XD4 Snell certified.
@@trekkydelirium-vroom5821 Too bad, they are $649 or $749 currently depending on options in the US. Also, remember that this is a modular helmet where the XD4 has a fixed chin bar.
@@trekkydelirium-vroom5821 We're selling the carbon helmet 979.95$ CAD which is the exact same price as Touratech USA price. For sure the exchange rate changes everyday but we're very competitive with US pricing.
@@TouratechUSA oh wow, my apologies, It just looked SO similar I assumed it was a straight rip off, but it totally makes sense that it is made in collaboration with NEXX, good stuff!
Looks like a great helmet!
Love all your videos, even got my endorsement through Puget Sound Safety. Thanks for all you do!

Touratech USA : no doubt your modular look great & is very tempting but Touratech Canada prices are expensive.

Basically a rip off NEXX X VILIJORD? What are the pros of this helmet versus that one? Everything looks identical
Not a rip off, it's a joint venture produced by NEXX.
