Ok road tested advant x carbon for 5 hours today it’s much quieter than shark evo gt ,more comfortable easier to put spectacles in, no issues with visor opening my go to helmet now
Vent work much better than shark as well

I just purchased the Advent X. I was going to register for the warranty, but it is only for European countries. Very informative video and great explanation on the features of the helmet..

I bought the advent x carbon and it’s been excellent. With my Cardo edge I can hear my music comfortably and my motorcycle with no wind noise. Only downside is the shell itself is extremely large, much larger than my bell broozer helmet. Speaking only of the size of the shell not the interior, it is nice and snug.
Can you charge and run it on a cord while you ride?

Update: Great video with in depth discussion on all the features and the new helmet rating! I bought the AdvantX black in August 2023.. non carbon as it didn't save any weight. I really like the fit of the helmet although I found I needed to buy slim cheek pad replacements. I have ridden in high winds and rain and it's performed very well. Now riding In southeastern NY winter and find it offers good cold protection along with a throat coat or neck wrap. I haven't been in extremely hot environments yet but I can say that the venting is very good and provides a noticeable stream of air over my head. I wear glasses and they fit much better than my other helmets. I started with my Sena evo 20 comms which worked well but mounting was a little wonky because of the beveled helmet trim on the X models. The regular Advant has a flat space. As soon as the integrated LS2/CARDO Comms unit was released I grabbed one and I like it... Sounds great, easy install, integrated with my Goldwing tour system in both 1 and 2 up situations as well as the other Sena units my son and I have. I did have to shim up the speakers for both Cardo and Sena units as the speaker wells are deep.

If anyone if on the fence about LS2 and the advant x, I have 15 helmets, closer to 25 just wouldn't admit it. I have an agv sport modular, an LS2 strobe, LS2 Valliant2, an Aria quantum x, Shoei rf1400, gt-airII, j-cruiseII, HJC rpha70carbon, and Scorpion exo1400 to name a few. By far, my favorite helmets are my rpha 70 for the amount of noise it blocks out and my LS2 Valliant II for the versatility and fit. Of all my helmets, LS2 gives so much value compared to the other brands. I'm unsure how they do it but it's really amazing. I have to note, LS2 has amazing visors and internal sun shade. It's on par to my Shoei GT AirII. I'm not sure if it's polarized but you'll be amazed. The only real negative was the weight but if the new Advant X is lighter, all the better! I'm looking forward to ordering and receiving the Advant X.
Do you own a neotecII? How would you compare wind noise between the two of so? If not neotecII, then your other Shoei. I have had mine for two years now and even though it gets great reviews for wind noise reduction for a modular, it seems pretty loud still compared to my older hjc.
Ordered an Advant X Carbon over the weekend from Speed Addicts, and its on the way already. Can't wait to try it on. I hate picking out helmets cause it never seems that I can find a helmet that "checks all the boxes," but i think LS2 may have nailed it with this one.. and may have even threw in an extra bonus with the ability to close of the rear vent. I will say I'm excited for this helmet, although I'm wondering why the Carbon isn't coming in lighter. LS2 advertises the line-up at 1650g, 1600g, & 1470g all =/- 50g, so the Carbon should weigh in less at around 3lb 4oz. I tend to ride up to sometimes as much as 10-12 hours a day, so weight is a huge part of my decision, however the extra 4oz is not going to be a deal breaker. I'm just not thrilled that I paid $100 more for a feature that I am not going to be getting. That is on LS2 to make right, not Speed Addicts.

@@larifari4371 so I received the new cheek pads about a month ago. According to LS2, it was a manufacturing issue that delayed the release of them, but they are available now. I haven't gotten much riding time since getting them, but I will say that brand new, they feel like my original pads before I removed them, and have been broken in. I would like to think that once these are broken in, they should fit perfectly for me.
Just bought advant x carbon first impression much bette4 than my shark evo gt . Lining & mechanism much better also has chin vents which was major failing in shark . Looking forward to testing it

I'm looking into a helmet like this or the shark because I would like a versatile helmet here in Arizona with the hot weather on my daily commute. I like this LS2 but Shark was on my radar. Do you think the LS2 is a better choice? I like the carbon X.
I have the shark Evo gt the ls2 is much better quality mech smoother and there is vent in chin which shark doesn’t still to try ls2 on the road

@SpeedAddictsTV Thank you for the response. One more question and comparison. How about the LS2 advant x carbon versus the HJC alpha 91 and the Nexx vilitur carbon zero pro. These are the ones that stick out to me for the price. I want modular, good ventilation, a drop down visor and quick release chin strap.
That carbon is sexy with the dark smoke shield. Question, should I get that carbon X or the HJC RPHA 91?
We would definitely recommend the Advant X carbon.
I like the simplicity and clean design of the base model compared to the x, to be honest.
We wouldn't argue with you there. The feature set is also extremely similar.

Really like these helmets, always been a Shoei guy. Lexin is a much better com, 32 riders, twice as loud as Sena and Cardo. 1/2 the price 😊😊

@@oOo0oOo0oOo it's true! As long as the Advant is not ridden and you have all the original packaging you're able to get that free return label and go for the Advant X. That said the Advant is very, very similar. We suspect many folks will make the pick based on aesthetics.
yea its great all videos show same content on helmets -- as to how they look and small differences between helmets but i have yet to see a review while riding in the rain-- how does it holdup-- does the visor keep water out- is there any kind of leakage or fogging-- thats a need to know to stay dry-- as it seems a majority of the time i ride i always run into some type of inclement weather-- will my prescription glasses fit well in helmet and stay dry too
I have not heard how this helmet handles in the rain.

The logo is not removable. It runs true to size. No official answer on why the Carbon does not weigh lighter.
Looking at buying this helmet after reading reviews and seeing one in person. I see nothing about a glasses groove in the cheekpads, is there one for those that wear prescriptiuon glasses? have the HD 20S Evo headset to install, will this work with this helmet?
The comm unit should be fine to install. You might need to get the slim cheek pads to fit your glasses.
When will you be getting the slim cheek pads in for the carbon? From running ls2 offroad helmets, I know I'm going to need them for my round cheeks. 😂

Great review, but I wish someone doing these reviews would face the helmets directly forward for more than a second. That view matters to me and the reason I haven’t pulled the trigger on one 😔

We can all see how it looks. Being on the less expensive side we want to know how well it protects our head if we hit a kerb at speed
The Advant X is up to the latest DOT and ECE 22.06 safety standards. They do 4 drop tests instead of one (ECE 22.05).
Can the helmet be cracked open for extra ventilation or is it just fully open or closed
Fully open and close. No strong detents to keep it cracked.
I've had 2 Shark modular helmets, and with each one I had to take a hammer to the front inner hard styrofoam liner to eliminate the pressure points on both temples and forehead. I was told this was because the Shark was designed for round shaped heads vs oval shaped heads. Which shape head is the LS2 Advant X designed for?
The Advant X is intermediate oval.
Can you swap out the cheek pads from the valiant 2 to the advent x?
You cannot. The Advant X uses its own specific set of pads.
Hello. Do you not know how the Chinese size grid goes? I wanted to order a carbon version from China, but judging by their size chart, 58 cm is the size of the helmet XL
58 u just order L..chinese sizing is totally suck..L good for 59-60cm
I have no idea how their sizing works. If you buy internationally, not only will not be street legal in the US, but you will run into issues with warranty.
Any update on CF vs Fiberglass as to why no weight advantage?
We never got official word from LS2.
There IS a weight difference. It’s 50gm. Not a lot, but note that carbon fibre is twice the strength of fiberglass given the same weight.

The color of the middle helmet is the matte titanium.
Did you ever get an answer as to why the carbon fiber weighed the same? And is the carbon shell only a look thing or is it better in other ways?
We did not get an official answer on why they weigh the same. A full carbon fiber helmet is still going to be an improvement over the fiberglass composite shell. It does look really nice as well.
The carbon IS 50gm lighter than the fiberglass version, and will be stronger, and looks absolutely amazing. I have one. It also comes with a pin lock, and an extra tinted visor.

Does the chinbar provide impact protection when it’s down?
It has ece 22.06 homologation which tests modular helmets both with and without the chinbar. This is mentioned in the video. 4:30

You made it very clear in your ls2 advant video that the smoke windshield did come with the matt black version of the advant along with the pin lock screen . Why are you now saying it isn't included with the matt black advant ? listen to what you say at 10:54 in your video LS2 Advant Helmet Review
To clarify: LS2 Advant - Smoke screen is ONLY included with the matte black (noir) | LS2 Advant X - Smoke screen is included with ALL colorways, Carbon included.
