- In this video we will be talking about, where Barricade went every time he disappeared. This video will construct a timeline for Barricade that takes place before the events of Transformers 2007 and ending on the final events of The Last Knight. Hey Trans I just want to start this message off by saying thank you for filling in all the gaps you worked really hard on this video. Imagine how the franchise would go if Barricade spoke like a normal cybertronian and negotiate with Sam instead of threatening him and chasing him for the glasses
it wouldnt go much differently I assume. Sam wouldve gone home to get the glasses by that time Bee wouldve engaged and held Barricade off long enough for the Autobots to show up

A civilized human being
Barricade is lowkey the smartest character. He somehow ran away from lockdown, survive being sniped/having his legs exploded, survived the chicago invasion, fought bumblebee and lived, and somehow survive until the franchise ended. Like starscream said "sometimes cowards do survive"
That is why I (and so many other) like him. He is not "stupid Evil".
He has his strengths and weaknesses. He is not just a brute fighter. He is cunning, he relies on ambushing, and infiltration and information gathering, to give him the edge he needs to win.
And I don't think he is a coward. He is just more realistic than most Decepticons ... I think at the end, when he was at Stonehenge, he meant what he said, he was prepared to fight to the death, to give all he's got for a cause he believes is greater than himself ... that is not cowardice, that is heroism! Misguided as it may be.
He would have made a fine Autobot.

Fun Fact: Barricade was a cop before the war.
This explains why he was comfortable posing as a cop and able to stay hidden for so long every time he was forced to flee which has been his tactic up until stone hedge. At stone hedge I believe he surrender after the others ran as he is a survivor and probably felt betrayed as Megatron left him to take the fall. I believe when he surrendered, he struck a deal of amnesty to not be executed and told them what to expect on Cybertron and exactly where the ignition chamber was.
That could explain alot. I mean before the war many of the autobots and deceptions were at peace and did have jobs within cybertron

And maybe after spending time in the transformers prison, he could change from Barricade to Prowl

I like how Barricade became kind a mystery due to some cut scenes and mysteriously popping in and out of universe. Which caused him to be unintentionally noticed by fans. I even remember seeing him in Dark of the Moon and being excited he suddenly reappeared. He was just this random decepticon who outlived even some of the biggest Con names out there.... including Megatron, twice. And eventually that fame just ressurected him back into the franchise by a reddit forum.
From a name used for various bots to a name for this specific bot, perfection.

Well he wasn't psycho in the first movie he became an anti- hero after he's death i think he was in rage and disipointed since he was trying to protect Sam but died in the process and also how much he tried to have a truce with Megs. Megs denied every truce and I think that He killed Megatron just to make him what he felt when he was trying to have a truce and then became an anti-hero.

I think barricade died in dark of the moon. but ksi took scrapd and made transformers just like megatron. When megatron revived and told the human transformers that he commanded him and they are free, one of them could be barricade. After megatron ( galvatron ) losing in tf4, he was last seen on the big plane and barricade couldve been in there too along with many other human transformers. megatron went with quintessa and got his new form and also barricade did too.
Plot twist: Barricade now joins the Autobots and becomes Prowl.

According to the wiki Bonecrusher was also an extremely dangerous individual entirely. So Prime killing him ultimately did a tremendous service to the safety of Autobots, humans and even the Decepticons themselves. Since he is known for being bloodthirsty and merciless.
Barricade is one of those Transformers in the films that is extremely underappreciated. He deserves so much better.

Barricade is exceptionally sneaky. And not the Starscream kind, the TF2 spy kind. Hes so good at his job that, in the Cybertron games, he could talk back to Megs without getting punished. And his tendency to shoot to wound gets a lot of dividends on his interrogation sidejob.
Prime even said himself in the Transformers Prime series "Every Sentient being posseses the capacity for change." thus he spared barricades life.
I wish Barricade did change cause I would have loved to see my favorite decepticon become good

If Barricade ever appears in the Transformers reboot franchise (Bumblebee and the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), I think he would no longer disappear from every battle that he's involved in. He can also be Prowl's rival, since both of them transform into police cars, and it might have a backstory where Prowl and Barricade used to be friends, but when the war happened, they become enemies.
That would be cool.
Or what if in the Bayverse, Barricade becomes Prowl?
I love barricade's first trilogy look more. A mix of that and TLK look would look good too as long as he has the first head. Also trans what would it look like if barricade tarsnformed without his legs and prime too without his arm, they would've transformed but the looks of the vehicle will look funny and fail the "robots in disguise" like who would think a cop car with the back missing and robot parts hanging from the back driving around is normal? Yeah that's normal lol

I’m thinking he’ll only be missing his back bumper and some of his interior since his arms formed the side of the vehicle along with both wheels on them, chest forming the front, and his back forming the roof of the car. So my theory is that he was able to transform and get away

My theory is he survived DOTM, in a stasis state due to his leg missing and eyes damaged. When we see Sentinel, he's limp, so it is logical that Barricade could've just gone into stasis to avoid further damage.

18:51 That actually got me thinking. Throughout the 3rd movie opening we never see Sentinel, and that has to do with being in the crash vault. But when he returns he never wondered what happened to his crew. Something tells me that they might've locked Sentinel in there and they knew about his plan. I doubt that these Autobot troops would ever side with Decepticons even when it involved Cybertron. But I think that they were keeping him Prisoner and went to Earth to warn any Autobots there, but unfortunately died in the process
maybe they all died trying to stop him and that's why sentinel is seen in sleeping position when optimus find him. he killed all his crew and when into shutdown on his own term to preserve any energy he has left.

I like how you use scenes from the films/games/comics and edit them to help tell your story, like the fight between Barricade and Prime where you mention Barricade getting the drop on him, and Optimus standing back up. My one complaint is when you repeat one clip over and over, which for some reason really irks me though it probably shouldn't.
Could you do a theory on why Optimus became more brutal after the first movie? Also maybe how he became a better fighter?
Barricade just likes to plan his appearances to be every film that has an odd number in the franchise

I think the reason why prime took a longer time to get there is probably because of traffic, finding another route because he was thrown off his main route during the fight with bone crusher, and him being a semi truck because semi trucks are slower that everyday cars because of their weight, thus making his arrival later than the others

You know, when you talk about Megatron's arm in DOTM, I always thought that it belongs to Bone-crusher. Granted, we barely get to see him, but we did see Bone-crusher's vehicle, so I think that one of the cons, likely picked up Bone-crusher's arm. Then again, that chances are minimal. What do you think.

The delivery and of this line and the fact that it is true is absolute perfection
A thing to add, if Barricade had "died" in this off screen fight with Optimus, we could assume he was decapitated but its a ruse. As we see in The Last Knight, Bumblebee was able to make himself fall apart on command. So if we assume all Transformers can do this to some capacity, Barricade could have detached his had before impact with the column, and make it look like he was killed by Optimus, seeing as how most media outside the movie depicts thats how he dies.
Though in TLK, Cade himself says that he gave Bee that ability. So it might not have been a normal think that Cybertronians can do.
I think what happened to Barricade during tlk was that since there was so much explosions, he used that to his advantage and slid his way out. Yes, he would be badly damaged. Great vid!

This is a very strong Theory,
But I feel like Barricade didn't die in The Last Knight because when The Autobots arrived, we didn't see Barricade's courpse in the battlefield, althought is more likely that he run away and died somewhere else, If he did he would left Stonehenge unguarded
Plus he could shoot down The Helicopters, and tanks are slow while his vehicle mode his very fast
So either he did manage to run away, or he did The most logical choice for him and surrendered
I like him running away, and if tf6 ever comes out he could pop in as the one dude who just. won’t. stay. dead.
Barricade Running away wouldn't be a surprise considering his Saleen S550 Mustang has enough speed to outrun ground based vehicles but Airbased ones would be his challenge

@@CT--2716It was stated in the transformers UK magazine/idw Barricade's top speed is 500 mph. So me personally would believe he could actually drive on the grass around 150 to 180 mph possibly 200 mph considering he's a cybertronian which a lot faster than a normal car and advanced too and could probably change his tires and some special parts of his body for his alt-mode but that's just my theory or headcannon or whatever you wanna call it.
P.S: His Horsepower could be around 2000 or something
Trans I feel like barricade had his memories restored back in AOE cus like you said they were slowly developing a mind of their own instead of being a mindless drone/troop for galv. and his spark was never damaged in the scene

Yet, the 7th Film will explain why the bad cop has a wild beef and goes brawl towards our young Autobot scout, Bumblebee.
Megatron was still alive as a head in AOE so, in my canon, i still think that Barricade is a KSI model that got his memory's back thanks to Megatron doing. Still nice to see other people canon version

Barricade aside, i never thought deep about these 3 plans in the making during the trilogy, makes me appreciate the first 3 movies even more.
A simple device to give life, a machine to harvest vital resources and a portal to bring the whole planet as a last resort.
Barricade is still my favorite movieverse transformer, since new toys and characterizations are still based in his bay version, instead of going back to his forgettable g1 roots

there was going to be a scene where barricade appearing in the city doing some kind of spinning stunt, but it was cut out for some reason.
Also they brought barricade back in TLK to do nothing, we expected an actual physical fight to go down without any cut aways but look how that turned out.

I like the idea that Barricade survived the battle Chicago but if he really did die then I think that he may have gotten a new body from the company making the drones. We know this is possible because Megatron did it to himself so what if he selected a few other Decepticons to join him in "ressurection".

12:29 this point I always bring up. Prime from G1 and Prime are different compared to Bayverse. Bayverse prime was a warrior and worked under Sentinel same with Megatron so he knows war but was still wise like we know. And after 2007s events Optimus knew the Decepticons were gonna cause more havoc to the innocents and after rotf he wouldn’t spare a Decepticon hence why in dotm he knew the Decepticons wouldn’t leave any alive

I really wanted barricade to have more screen time and him and bee seems like a good rival I wanted barricade to be equal to bee it’s a shame he didn’t get that much screen time and he is so underrated he deserves more.

Why does Optimus prime revert to his knight form in Age Of Extinction and The Last Knight.
I personaly think he had a knight form in the past (based from your videos) however upon learning about quintessa's true movtives from the gurdian knights and learning that she is the great deciever. He chose to abandon his knight form and embrace the normal cybertronian form and do the duty of a prime, protecting all life.
However once we get to Age Of Extinction we see that humans had completly betrayed him and hunted down all transformers. I personally believe that Optimus decided to revert back to his knight form to symbolise his change in motivations. He is now fighting to keep his cybertronain brothers alive, to represent that, he became a knight again as the last time he was a knight he was fighting for cybertron and in Age of Extiction he is once again fighting for cybertron and the survival of cybertronians.
Thats my theory what do you think?

When I heard that the other Decepticons could’ve landed separately I immediately thought of the time heist scene in Endgame for some reason
Barricade is one of my favorites characters in the Bay verse and I'm glad that finally have a solid timeline for him keep up the good work 😉👍
One thing though I can say about the decepticons and it's that they got some badass military vehicle forms and some badass Names. Blackout, Scarponock, Barricade, Starscram, Bone Crusher, Sound wave, Shockwave, Devastator, Berserker, Mohawk, Megatron. Just hearing those names alone will make you shake in fear

Perhaps we can take some clues from the toys of pre-tlk Barricade to see how he left Chicago. Almost ALL the toys feature all 4 wheels of Barricade on his arms. Losing legs doesn't matter to the mobility of his alt mode.

I never realize that barricade is still there as the movie went on because I thought Bumblebee killed him completely and think that he's a basic and easy decepticon that bumblebee defeated but now I realize these things I never notice.

I've been waiting for this video. Barricade has always been my favorite decepticon
I have one more theory why barricade can transform with the new leg.....since it's a protoform leg the very type which is compatible for any transformer to change into the desired design for an alt mode....that's why ....he was able to reconfigure that back into his alt mode...and Megatron new arm was also of a protoform so....can it be true ?...

Trans great job for figuring out the timeline and making it all sensible. We all know it is so difficult to come up for barricade timeline since they are a lot of missing pieces that have not been found/theorized yet. Really appreciate it man! Who is the best, TLK Barricade or 2007 Barricade?
When it comes to an alien and violent look it's the 07 design but when it comes to more of a Cilivian and warrior look it's the 17 design so for me I will go with the 17 one

First..its 2pm here but its always a great time to watch your videos and second about blackout and grindor..i have a theory that they were twins like dreadwing is for skyquake. The reason why grindor got on earth would be the same as why did dreadwing in tfp. What's your opinion about that?
