Hey @Theorymus, I remember you saying that the war on Cybertron lasted for millions of years. I think it'd be cool if you did a video explaining how long the war on Cybertron lasted specifically for the Bayverse. My best theory is that in ROTF Jetfire states that the Fallen was the first Decepticon and wanted to use the Star Harvester but the 6 other Primes would soon discover that Earth was populated with life. And we know that they don't allow the Star Harvester to be used on planets with life based on what Jetfire stated in ROTF. I think the first 7 Primes arrived somewhere around 17000 BC based on the first scene in ROTF. And the war on Cybertron would've had to have ended somewhere around 1969 based on the fact that the Ark crash landed on the moon causing the Apollo 11 mission, in 1969. In DOTM Optimus and Sentinel visit Africa and there Optimus states "I wounder what could've been, had you fought the final battle... instead of me" leading me to conclude (based on a calculator) that the war on Cybertron for the Bayverse would've had to have lasted for at least 18,968 years. While Cybertronian lifespans work differently compared to that of a human, I think it would still be enough for Bayverse Prime to grow impatient, thus for violent because he's tired of living in a war. Which is completely understandable. Thats just a theory which more than likely isn't accurate but it was something that's been on my mind lately. I'd love to see what you think!
The Fallen started the Decepticon faction after 17000 BC and the Allspark landed on Earth around 10000 BC so the war in Cybertron must've lasted less than 7000 years, however the war continued on other planets after they left Cybertron.
the war on cybertron was not millions of years in the movies though it was only a bit over 10000 years. meaning megatron was absent for almost all of it due to his incompetence crashing on earth and was never optimus's arch nemesis he was sentinels arch nemesis while optimus's was starscream ashfoid
Theorymus if you look at Bumblebee's expression as Drift mentions only four autobots made it he shows shame by lowering his head due to sadness in failing to save all his Autobot friends
If Cemetery Wind used to work with the Autobots, I wonder if Hooch and Marc L initially joined Cemetery Wind under the assumption they'd be fighting Decepticons, since NEST was disbanded, and they probably didn't want to go back to their previous lives of retirement. Since they fought alongside the Autobots for so long, I feel like they'd recognize the value of the Autobots in protecting Earth from the Decepticons. I don't think it really makes sense for them to have a sudden change of heart and turn against the Autobots after everything they'd been through, especially when they were willing to risk their lives going into Chicago with Sam and Epps, where the only reason they survived is because of the Autobots. Their past experience fighting Decepticons also probably would've made them suitable for higher positions within Cemetery Wind.
My conclusion is that Attinger must have felt that the United States President was still going to side with/let the Autobots live after Chicago's destruction. So he took matters into his own hands by backstabbing the Government into just murdering Autobots & Decepticons, Since the Government was still going allow the Autobots to live when He felt like they should just be killed right off the spot. But that's just my interpretation...
Harold Attinger has always been one of my favourite human characters in the Bayverse (the others are Seymour Simmons, Dutch, Dylan Gould, and Joshua Joyce) and I've always thought he was one of the Bayverse's most underrated characters, so it's nice to finally see a video about him and the history of Cemetery Wind. I've always considered Harold Attinger to be one of the most evil characters in the Bayverse alongside The Fallen (and technically Unicron, but we never got to see him do stuff so...), as well as one of the most evil humans in the entire Transformers franchise (if not the most evil). While you could argue that he believed he was helping humanity by eliminating all Transformers, the fact that he was at least partially motivated by getting that sweet retirement cash, and his cruelty and lack of empathy towards other humans (remember when he ordered James Savoy to shoot Tessa to make Cade reveal Optimus' location, or when he literally said "Innocent people die all the time") highlight how nefarious he truly is. Great video as always Theorymus.
I love how you mentioned Joshua Joyce, as I feel like he was one of the more underrated human characters, who had arguably the most character development out of anyone. I found his ruthless, narcissistic CEO attitude immensely entertaining and brilliantly acted - but despite all that, he was receptive to Cade's concerns that Galvatron had gone rogue, and the way his relationship with Attinger soured over the course of the movie was surprisingly well written. After running from the KSI army along with the Yeager family, it really felt like he had turned a new leaf by the end of the movie.
I couldn't agree more. I love the scene where Joshua stands up to Harold after he realises that his childhood dream has been twisted into something evil. He's also easily one of the funniest characters in the Bayverse. "WHY CAN'T WE MAKE WHAT WE WANT TO MAKE, THE WAY WE WANNA MAKE IT?!" "How do you say "Get the f**k out of the way" in Chinese?"
44:24 the idea of getting of getting a text message on your phone from an alien robot and not automatically thinking it's someone trying to prank you is so funny to me, great vid btw!
The Bayverse is much more interesting thanks to you, making perfect sense out of a Cinematic Universe that many judge saying "It has consistency errors everywhere, too many flaws in the plot and bad story that isn't even interesting"... I still loved the Bayverse in 2023 because of nostalgia and CGI scenes, but its explored lore and origin stories are making it cooler and cooler because of your videos, Thanks Theorymus!
The original live action saga is probably the most interesting part of the Franchise the problem was that the director and the writers didn’t take the films as seriously as the should have been because nobody taking their film seriously is going to leave out such a important scene of what happened in Mexico city and definitely won’t leave out what happened to sam witwicky
@@giovonniiclayton I personally think that those 5 movies are perfect as they are, if they were more grounded or realistic, then they would loose what makes the Bayverse unique and different from the other cinematic universes, the magic those movies have can't be replaced with anything, their flaws made them what they are and it's because of how weird and seemingly inconsistent the Bayverse is that i have and always will love it, in my opinion it was an absolute upgrade from the G1 Minecraft designs and childish story, i respect them though

@@giovonniiclayton I see where you're coming from and unfortunately most cinematic universes' last episodes/movies are just there to farewell the series itself or to end the final supervillain, AOE exists because Hasbro wanted to produce new toys so Bay made AOE and then TLK, i personally like AOE and TLK but what's special about TLK is that it rivisited DOTM Sentinel's ship on the moon, the Egypt pyramid the Fallen used in ROTF, the Dinobots we saw in AOE, finally showed us who created Transformers after we saw in AOE what are they made of and Cybertron wich we only saw in 2007 and DOTM... TLK was there to finally end the Bayverse, that's why it doesn't really stand up well as a movie on its own, the others were making the story moving forward, the last was ending everything that was created in the past movies and showing us new things, it's a weird and messy universe but i love it because tried something cooler than G1 in my opinion
The timeline of the Transformers movies goes like this. 1) July 2007 - The Battle of Mission City takes place and Sam finishes his year of college. 2) August 2007 to September 2009 - NEST forms a partnership with the Autobots and they take down other remaining Decepticons looking for the Fallen. 3) September 2009 - Sam goes to university and the iconic Battle of Egypt takes place. The president makes the alien cooperation introduced. 4) October 2009 to September 2013 - Shockwave arrives and destroys the NEST base in Diego Garcia killing a few Autobots. The other Decepticons have hidden other pillars relating to the Space Pillars across the world. The Autobots worked around the world to stop global human threats. 5) September 2013 -Sam graduates from university and the iconic Chicago battle takes place. 6) October 2013 - Cementry Wind is formed from Harold Attinger. Two former NEST soldiers join Cementry Wind. Harold Attinger forms a partnership with Joshua Joyce the head of KSI. 7) November 2013 - December 2016 - The Autobots and Cementry Wind worked together to take down the surviving Decepticons. 8) May 2016 - The CIA director forms a partnership with Harold Attinger. 9) January 2017 - Cementry Wind betrays the Autobots and starts killing them. 10) March 2017 - Lockdown arrives on Earth. Lockdown also forms a partnership with Cementry Wind and KSI. 11) April 2018 - The Battle of Mexico City takes place. 12) May 2018 - Age of Extinction fight happens and the iconic Hong Kong battle takes place. 13) May 2022 - The Last Knight and the Battle of Stonehenge takes place.
For me, the Transformers series ended with " Dark of the Moon ". It was a perfect ending for the whole franchise. But it's good to watch your theories ^^
50:19 Thank you, I've been saying That Optimus never said "Sam run" it's like fans are ignoring that face that Optimus is in genuine physical pain. I looked through scripts and even used Captions to see if he actually said it. I believe it's like the Green needle/brainstorm or Laurel/Yanny situation why people thought of it he said Sam run. Not only that but that grunting sound had been used before like the other recycled sounds.
Great theory, but i feel like there are still many holes and gaps in the theory, but I also feel like some aspects hold up if viewed from a different perspective, like what if cemetery wind was created under a different name, and only changed so it would confuse the autobots, thus them being confused why they are getting shot at by the people they believed to be allies. Also if I remember correctly wasn’t lockdown already on a mission to get Optimus? Which would also add to why he was there on earth. But those are the only two “flaws” that I could see with the theory
You could also say that the reason sam isn’t seen and not dead is that when Optimus said stop all contact with humans bumblebee lost contact with same so he wouldn’t get hurt.
I would love an animated series that would be 8 episodes or more to show what actually happened between the two movies, it would definitely be something I'd love to watch.
Since Attinger has been with the CIA for 25 years and AOE takes place in 2018, that would mean Attinger began working for the CIA in 1993, the same year the original Jurassic Park film was released.
8 months late, but nice video. It’s really sad that the Autobots were given the blame for the damage of Chicago after the war was over. But of course the traitor, Sentinel Prime’s line “On Cybertron, we were gods. And here, they call us machines. Let the humans serve us or perish. You’re lucky I didn’t kill you. In time, you’ll see” during the Washington DC invasion scene in Dark Of The Moon predicted the future of the humans killing the Transformers in Age Of Extinction. Honestly, Ironhide and Ratchet’s deaths were probably two of the most saddest deaths in the Bay verse. But keep up the amazing work.
I like the video The Fire Brothers made call “Bumblebees biggest failure” where it explains using deleted scenes where Leadfoot died and where the Autobots where at
Very nicely done video! I can tell you put a lot of love and effort into it and it's paid off! My personal headcannon for why Topspin has Leadfoot's head in TLK (other than the IRL reason of his orignal one not being rigged to talk in the first place, so swapping them was faster), is that it literally IS his head... let me elaborate. I imagine that when the Autobots split up before AOE The Wreckers stayed in a somewhat close proximity to one another for safety. When Leadfoot was attacked Topspin was closest to him, but he was still a little while away, with Roadbuster being even further. While Topspin wasn't able to get to Leadfoot in time to save him, he was able to take out the crew of Cemetery Wind soldiers that had wounded Leadfoot, but not without getting dammaged himself, having a rocket blow up in his face. As he blindly crawled over to his dying brother, Leadfoot demanded that he take his face to restore his vision and get himself out of there before reinforcements arrived (going by the logic of how starscream was able to reattach his own arm after it was broken off twice in ROTF, and how Megatron got a new body in ROTF and arm in DOTM), so begrudgingly Topspin obliged after Leadfoot shortly died. He then left the area, soon meeting Roadbuster as the two fled to Cuba. That's my timeline of events at least, and similarly it's also how I imagine Barricade got his new face too.
The autobot Decepticon war in the Bayverse can’t have been millions of years. When 19,000 years ago the fallen was still one of the primes before he got the nickname “the original Decepticon”
39:20 I think that lockdown was brought to earth not only for the sake of prime, but also to "clean up the garbage", in the movie itself he is screaming that he is forever pinned I think that lockdown was brought to earth not only for the sake of prime, but also to "clean up the garbage", in the movie itself he is screaming that he always has to "Clean up after them," so I think that's one of the reasons why he came, and it ties in with the fact that, in theory, he's a messenger of the Quintesons, and one of his jobs is to clean up
About the sam being with Optimus thing, when he transforms and has his gun he says: “Sam get behind the-“ and it cuts off, it’s when he’s standing up during the scene, I can’t remember the exact time stamp, I’ve tried to find it again but I think they’ve removed that scene on Netflix, I remember watching it a week ago an noticing that line and screenshotted it. The fire brothers made some good AOE videos, 1 being about Bumblebee’s big mistake and the nuclear plant meetup. And his other video was about the hunt for cybertronians arg thing, idk what to calm it but it was basically about this site leading up to the release of AOE and how autobots and decepticons were being seen around the world and being reported
I feel like AOE would’ve been so much better if they leaned into the darker tones of the movie like cemetery wind hunting and killing autobots . Plus a original script of the movie had autobots teaming up with decepticons showing how dark the times have gotten
This theory is fairly decent in terms of being able to fill most of the plot holes. My only confusion is how bumblebee was able to find a 1967 Camaro to scan in Chicago
I guess we could say When bumblebee escaped and subsequently drove into a habitable Part of chicago, He found the camaro And scanded while in his vehicle form
Yeah, I knew that taking the Autobots to Chicago was risky, but I knew that there was no other choice if I was to get them all there safely, but unfortunately I ordered the Autobots to split up, because then it was the only way to get as many Autobots as possible safely to Monument Valley, and I regret that my decision caused some of the Autobots to perish, and the reason I was in charge was because Optimus wanted me to because I was the only Autobot present there who was on Earth the longest so I knew my way around Earth. Also I understand Drift not respecting me in Age of Extinction, the reason I lashed out at him was because I already felt guilty about the Autobots that were killed, Drift was making me feel worse about it. As for Crosshairs, he was just doing that in The Last Knight to be a jerk because he thinks he's better than everyone, there was a reason he was never in charge, I put Drift in charge before leaving to go England.
A lot of the things in this video were not explained in any way before Theorymus made sense of it, hence why I said that he made more sense of the movie. I understand the general plot, but so much of it wasn't explained. And it also doesn't make sense that the designs suddenly changed completely, although I understand the real world explanation for that.

And to mention the ten autobots there were mentioned in the film to be alive due to evidence you shared, but what about the twins and jolt could they be alive as well or should we take the comics as fact?
As for the twins, my head cannon is that they were killed by sentinel prime during the base attack off screen. As for jolt I take the comics explanation as canon

Even tho the bayverse is over and they are probably not make any more movies in the bayverse continuity it’s nice knowing the fact that sideswipe, Dino/ mirage, top spin and roadbuster are still alive and are somewhere in the world

Fantastic video! It's a shame Bay refused to let IDW make prequel comics to AOE and TLK. Though there are a handful of titan magazine prequel comics but they can't even remotely be considered canon. Doubt they have any insight on the time between flms anyways. But yeah great video!
Also @theorymus what if Attenger meant that the 5 decepticons you didn't mention were actually Drift, Crosshairs, Optimus, Hound, and Bumblebee since he has the narrative that the autobots are cons towards the government
I think that the Cemetery Wind cards saying the Autobots were last seen in Chicago is a mistake when making the props since Ironhide's card says the same thing but his death makes that impossible.
32:33 Is it possible to add Loader and Garagebot to that list? They appeared on the cards in AoE and weren’t listed as deceased, meaning they could also be among the Decepticons Attinger was referring to, bringing the total to 8.
I honestly don’t understand the hate with this movie. It’s personally my favorite of the transformers movies. It has everything I want in a transformers movie! For one thing all of the autobots in this movie all have personality and don’t get wasted unlike the previous cast of Autobot characters, the action is on point, the main villain is super cool and has everything that I want in a Transformers movie villain. I hope this comment can change the way people view this movie.
The hate was mainly to do with the unfamiliarity resulting from all the changed designs/design language, and the completely new human cast. I think story and action wise, this movie was top 2 imo.
The movie has good thing’s about it and it could have been the best transformers movie ever, but the reality is the writers and the director dropped the ball heavy there was a lot of plot holes that needed to be explained, some plot lines were unnecessary to the main plot and should have been scrapped. And another I want to add is that the writers and the director had a gold mine with this film but they lacked the care to really bring out the true potential of The Aoe story

I chock it up to bad writing and human stupidity.
This is why you're the ONLY transformer TH-cam channel I watch
Thanks man, that really means a lot!
Makes sense considering that even the president asked if he would have a picture with Optimus. And that Attinger is actually called a rogue.
FINALLY. Finally someone else who says that Optimus doesn’t say “Sam run!” I was SO tired of hearing that.

@@MonsterVerse_scientist-CnlDscr it’s fine if you love them because I really care about the bayverse but they had so much potential especially 4 and 5 to be the best TF films and movies in general but because of the lazy execution of the story and the add on of unnecessary plot lines the bayverse got cancelled and basically ended on a cliffhanger and now we’re left with a reboot that has none of the charm and interesting plot lines the bayverse had

For me, the Transformers series ended with " Dark of the Moon ". It was a perfect ending for the whole franchise. But it's good to watch your theories ^^
Personally, i honestly prefer the first film ending as the best one.
1- end of film one
2- end of film three
3- actual full five films
Lockdown shot of Ratchet’s leg? This entire time I thought it was Cemetery Wind
Totally irrelevant, but that Yanny and Laural audio is nonsense. I didn't here neither of them and it still pissess me off to this day.
Because the plot needed it that way
Plot is irrelevant
@@Eradicator_MK666exactly.
I am honestly surprised that in the bayvers the CIA had better luck hunting down all cybertronians then actual wanted people
8 months late, but nice video.
0:20 The Battle of Chicago definitely took waaaaay more than 1,300 lives
I like the video The Fire Brothers made call “Bumblebees biggest failure” where it explains using deleted scenes where Leadfoot died and where the Autobots where at
There's a reason it was scrapped and not included in the series
39:20
I think that lockdown was brought to earth not only for the sake of prime, but also to "clean up the garbage", in the movie itself he is screaming that he is forever pinned I think that lockdown was brought to earth not only for the sake of prime, but also to "clean up the garbage", in the movie itself he is screaming that he always has to "Clean up after them," so I think that's one of the reasons why he came, and it ties in with the fact that, in theory, he's a messenger of the Quintesons, and one of his jobs is to clean up
love you theorymus , for all your efforts and hard work in keeping the transformers community alive

I hope this comment can change the way people view this movie.
Besides AOE hate isn't really relevant anymore, also AOE is also my favorite one
The hate was mainly to do with the unfamiliarity resulting from all the changed designs/design language, and the completely new human cast. I think story and action wise, this movie was top 2 imo.
@@yerriff8115 That's not a valid reason to hate something anyways. The real hate was cause of scenes like the Tessa and shane law thing
