He wasn't just "a" threat. He was THE threat. Lockdowns sheer battle prowess is unmatched. It took plot armor for him not to kill anyone in the final battle.

Isn’t it a big coincidence that The Fallen betrayed his brothers and built their harvester machine on Earth, the Allspark landed on earth, the Guardians Knights crash landed on Earth, and Earth so happens to also be Unicron? That’s a lot of things to happen to one planet, maybe Earth being Unicron is the reason these all happened in the first place
He's better villain than any other, because, unlike other villains who fight with help, Lockdown always fights alone, which shows how strong and brave he is
AoE would have definitely benefited from Tie in Comics like the first three films. They provided backstory and context to the films even if some of that was actually ignored in the films.
You can make an entire movie between the gap of time that goes from DOTM to AOE, not to mention a series focused on Lock going from universe to universe, hunting stuff
There were the Titan comics, but they're weren't canon, though issue 1 was a flashback to the war on Cybertron and Lockdown was a decepticon and ruthless one as well saying that they (him, Drift when he was a decepticon and Knucklehead, a character created specifically for that issue) shouldn't take autobot prisoners so one issue gave Lockdown a bit of back story although not canon.
I would’ve personally liked the early concept of Lockdown as the mad max themed car (his Animated design) be the one he had in the movie, as well as him being in charge of the remaining Decepticons on Earth.
Maybe out of fear, but once galvatron/megatron is rebirthed, they'd switch up on lockdown, since their true leader would be back. Otherwise I just don't like the idea of lockdown being another decepticon leader

Lockdown has appeared in some pre-AOE Bayverse tie-in media, primarily in Cyber Missions. In TF Cyber Missions, one episode shows how Ratchet and Lockdown had a kind of rivalry, so the start of AOE can be seen as an instance of "settling the score". This would mean that Lockdown has been active since Revenge of The Fallen. That dosen't conflict with Lockdown being a mercenary hired by the Decepticons, but it does throw a wrench in the idea that he arrived after the Battle of Chicago.
Since Lockdown first appeared in the cyber missions short around ROTF, there’s another theory I have on Lockdown: he was created to stop the cybertronian knights of Quintessa, but like them he rebeled and became a bounty hunter. However, unlike Quintessa, the other creators brainwashed Lockdown through torture after the planet is left lifeless. This could explain why the autobots knew him before and to reconcile both versions.

The Blue and Red eyes doesn't necessarily mean "Good and Evil". Most of the Autobots were civillians before the war, thus blue regular eyes. Most of the Decepticons were military before the war thus Red Infrared Eyes. Since they're mechanical beings, they wouldn't call it "eyes", more like "optics"
I’m glad they chose this direction with Lockdown. It’s always Autobots and Decepticons and it’s not often that we get something different. I also like how he isn’t some Ex-Decept or Auto, but rather someone who was built for one main purpose.
I remember already commenting here saying that I always thought Lockdown was a Decepticon since he was the main villain in Age Of Extinction when actually, he’s a Cybertronian bounty hunter. It’s a shame that we never saw the Cemetery Wind hunt down the Decepticons.
The best part about Lockdown (besides his KO figure, his epic design overall, and his ability to kick the chrome plated ass off of Prime and the dinobots), is he's voiced by the oldest Autobot, the eternal glory of JETFIRE!

If you take another look, "Lockdown" has green eyes also which means he has some of that Beast Wars energy & power running through him as well as something else that might contribute to his power and in the fact that he can overpower Prime.

I would imagine backstory of lockdown my version : Once he has a family that lived in cybertron and happily. But at the war of cybertron, he and his family no choice to jump around as a refugee. But the fate worse as at refugees being mistake as enemy reinforcements. Lockdown was the only one survivor. His family gone and lose his insanity until he hate the one who cause the wars: autobots and decepticons
Love how in the non canon titan magazine comics there's a story of Lockdown working as a Decepticon with Drift and some dude named Knucklehead. That and how in Rise of the Dark Spark, Lockdown just shows up before AOE and battles Optimus, Bumblebee, Drift and Grimlock. Honestly I blame Michael Bay's whole "no more IDW comics" thing for these weird stories. Because if the writers for the comic and game were given just a little bit of story from the film then maybe those entries could line up more with the films and be semi-canon like the Dark of the Moon console game.

Everyone needs to know Shia's character's legacy in Transformers Franchise if he was alive and living in a normal life or he was killed off before AOE happens...

i understand your hot take on lockdown being stronger than prime but i feel like lockdown isnt as strong as him, because he seems to be better at strategic attacks from the shadows and usually he stuns someone from afar then goes to them slowly, but him fighting with prime at the end you can see that little bit of struggle hes having, he holds his own but he got the upper hand because prime got distracted by saving cade, and seeing that bumblebee fight he didnt know how to go against bees unique fighting style and only took him down after after getting a hand on him, but before he was struggling, it's like he doesn't know how to take on many enemies at once as shown how he was trying to get cade but was tripped and didnt win that well against cade

Lockdown is the coolest character in Bayformers. So menacing. And he didn’t gave two shits about Autobots vs Decepticons, he was on a mission for a much bigger purpose than a civil war. Lockdown made the watchable.
I think i do agree with what ur saying about Lockdown vs Prime just not the wording of it, ¨stronger¨ is where i think Optimus wins, but Lockdown is more powerful due to his cunning, tools & intellect, more efficient & effective. You gotta remember when Megatron kills Prime in T2, it's quz Optimus looks out for the humans, here again Lockdown gets the advantage quz Optimus shifts his focus. If Optimus goes ALL out, i think he wins, & can adapt to Lockdown as well. IF it is a fair 1v1 with only themselves and their blades

one thing to add to the fact that lockdown did fight in the cybertronian war is the line where he says something like the autobots and the decepticons are like children. the thing that made him think of the two factions as children is the fact that are constantly fighting which he would have only known if he has been to cybertron and saw the war first hand.
The Bayverse is not over, this is due to the fact he is still helping make Rise of the Beasts so, I suspect that Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal will come face to face, this is confirmed in beastwars, it shows a part of Optimus Primal meeting Optimus Prime, but... There is a pattern, apparently in beast wars, Megatron was the one that made Cybertron technorganic, and Megatron is here in the present plus he made contact with Quintessa and I assume that he wanted the planet technorganic. At least this pattern makes sense to me
What i ask myself is how TLK showed us, the autobots were on Earth before World War 2, but Transformers 2007 showed us them coming to Earth way after that

I still think Optimus is stronger, Mexico City sounded like an unfair fight, he actually beat lockdown in Texas and was still wounded, also not a fair fight cause he got shot in the back dealing with galvatron, and the final fight he was beating lockdown and let his guard down to save Cade. Just my opinion though
I'm sure Lockdown was notorious for other reasons, and not just hunting the Knights. That might have been his main hustle, but wasn't the only one. And it's very likely everyone knew he was stronger than Optimus and Megatron. Well, Optimus at least. Despite Megatron losing every time, he lost twice because he was weak after his resurrection, and twice because he was outnumbered. So we don't actually know if Lockdown could take Megatron, but he sure as hell is stronger than Optimus.
I think Optimus is still stronger than Lockdown. The first battle had the help of humans, the second battle had him shooting in the back twice from afar, and the third one had Optimus distracted. The battle during the car chase had Optimus winning (technically. He was still keeping up with the chase, so not at full effort), and he was winning before the tide turned in the final battle. Why do you think Optimus went specifically to Quintessa if Lockdown was working for the other creators? Was Optimus going after them 1 by 1, and Quintessa just happened to be the only one that’s alone?

@@WeweGombelXD Lockdown’s strength seems to just come from his technology. I feel he trapped the dinobots, which isn’t an actual fight. Megatron seems like the strongest, only behind Optimus with flight tech and Dragonstorm.
I like the details, but for me being stronger is different than being skilled or you could be both. Technically we could say that Lockdown could hunt down TF1 Megatron and still says Megatron is stronger. We could say that by basing how many shots did it took for him to knockdown Optimus or even before he made him lock in stasis. He could literally hunt TF1 Megatron in the distance with his precise arsenal, backed up by his popularity to fellow transformers. On the strength hmm personally I think it is a bit messy on bayverse these are my thoughts... In terms of strength scaling in my opinion: TF1 Megatron> TF1 Optimus, we could basically see it in the enire movie and their final fight scene. So in this case size really matters since megatron could easily throw optimus at that time I could back up size matters especially until TF DOTM because in TF ROF... Megatron has a new form and not on his TF1 mode anymore and because of that TF ROF Optimus could almost have a good fight with him before being killed, Prime almost win but you get what I mean, Megatron nerfed, Optimus almost won... In that same time The Fallen is much larger than prime or so I presume... and Prime definitely needed an upgrade just to won against Megatron and the Fallen... He killed The Fallen and damaged Megatron so bad...In the DOTM... if size doesnt matter then optimus could easily defeat shockwave with his giant pet, but at that time Optimus needed an upgrade auxiliary to fight against Shockwave and his pet... Based on these, we could actually say that size affects strength, but having more arsenal, being quick or skilled could with a fight... Here where I began to mess up... Since Optimus could regenerate, is true then that AOE Optimus is stronger than the first 3 movies normal version of Optimus... Optimus basically knock down Grimlock who is wayy larger and a legendary warrior, a cybertronian knight. We could still say that Optimus is not stonger than grimlock but the force of Optimus on his strike is enough to knock him down... again having the skill won against strength.. For the final fight at AOE I think Prime was still holding back since he does not want to hurt yeager and based on Optimus feats Only the top guys could easily fight him or defeat him... I definitely think Lockdown is more ahead on weaponry and assassinations, more skilled on that field but lets not forget Prime is a knight, throughout the bayverse he used many form of weapons and based on some sources he is mastery of it too.. I do not know it is just I hope Lockdown and Prime fight has been a lil bit different you know with their strength and mastery of skills they could brought a different fight scenes. It is jut my opinions though.
I wish we had seen Lockdown beating the crap out of a Decepticon or two, just to put an emphasis on how entirely neutral he is to the “petty” conflict. He was easily the best part of AOE though.
Hey @TransTheory I have been asking on several videos what happened to the Allspark shard that was given to revive Megatron from ROTF with and how does he controls it's power during DOTM like in the games and what happened to it after his body was melted by KSI on Age Of Extinction or before that and since we all know from the Fallen himself that the Allspark couldn't be destroyed and can only transform does that mean Megs still has the power of the Allspark Shard and was it the source of his control over the KSI Drones? Further more I would like you to make a video where you explain on what happened to Optimus Prime's Matrix and does he still have Jetfire's spark fused with him the same sark that has the smaller shard Sam uses in Rotf to remove Jetfire from Stasis?
My theory is that lockdown is a former cybertronian knight and the reason why everybody knows him is because a knight who was kicked out in some way for some reason would he something a lot of cybertronians would remember and the main reason I think this he is a knight is because he’s the only other transformer besides the knights to have green eyes.
The biggest mystery of all is how Lockdown its almost as big as Optimus Prime being a Lamborghini when Optimus is a super truck. Wasn't the point that the Cybertronians transforms into the earthlings machines that best fits to their natural size? Also the exemples that you gave to prove that Lockdown it's stronger than Optimus is easy to reject as were strategical shots that hit Optimus as he was distracted being Lockdown's modus operandi as seen in Rachet's death as he was mortally wounded when he was talking to the cementary wind soldiers. The same for Optimus that was taken down on a hit in his back when he was fighting Galvatron and was wounded in the chest when he saved Cade. He was extremely strong though. Anyway, great video mate! Can you please do a What if I survived Sideswipe, Jolt, and Arcee video were Jolt gives his life in AOE to save prime where Arcee survives the entire franchise from ROTF we’re Arcee and Bumblebee would being a great team and having a possible romance in TLK and even helping out Bumblebee in bringing prime back from being Nemesis Prime, with Sideswipe assisting Hound in TLK where Sideswipe would keep the Deceptions at bay for Hound to escape the junkyard where Sideswipe would give up his life fighting the Cons and refusing to give up the location of the talisman. Also, can you do a bit of What if I survived bit with Arcee and Jolt if they had Starscream still alive where Jolt and Arcee never died.
We know that Optimus is old as hell (Orian Pax was in if the original 13 Primes). My guess would be that Lockdown was probably an early model of transformer, as in before autobot and deception. And when the factions split he left cybotron and started bounty hunting/mercenary. We know he dosent only look for Transformers because we see that he has biological life in his ship as well. And as far as him tracking the primes, I imagine quintessa wanted more then just 1 knight to rise and help turn the tide for Primus v Unicron, as well as all of the biological life on lockdowns ship could have been used to mesh species together
Lockdown picked up Optimus' messages at the end of the first movie and second movies. That's how he learned of Earth. Optimus practically waived a huge flag across the universe saying I am right here. Remember the to all autobots I send this message to you blah blah. Lockdown couldn't help but detect it.

The reason lockdown was so strong because of bay but a in universe answer will be that the creators made him and trained him and gave him useful weapons
Lockdown has appeared in some pre-AOE Bayverse tie-in media, primarily in Cyber Missions. In TF Cyber Missions, one episode shows how Ratchet and Lockdown had a kind of rivalry, so the start of AOE can be seen as an instance of "settling the score". This would mean that Lockdown has been active since Revenge of The Fallen. That dosen't conflict with Lockdown being a mercenary hired by the Decepticons, but it does throw a wrench in the idea that he arrived after the Battle of Chicago.

Since Lockdown first appeared in the cyber missions short around ROTF, there’s another theory I have on Lockdown: he was created to stop the cybertronian knights of Quintessa, but like them he rebeled and became a bounty hunter. However, unlike Quintessa, the other creators brainwashed Lockdown through torture after the planet is left lifeless. This could explain why the autobots knew him before and to reconcile both versions.

The Blue and Red eyes doesn't necessarily mean "Good and Evil".
Most of the Autobots were civillians before the war, thus blue regular eyes. Most of the Decepticons were military before the war thus Red Infrared Eyes.
Since they're mechanical beings, they wouldn't call it "eyes", more like "optics"

I’m glad they chose this direction with Lockdown. It’s always Autobots and Decepticons and it’s not often that we get something different. I also like how he isn’t some Ex-Decept or Auto, but rather someone who was built for one main purpose.
I remember already commenting here saying that I always thought Lockdown was a Decepticon since he was the main villain in Age Of Extinction when actually, he’s a Cybertronian bounty hunter. It’s a shame that we never saw the Cemetery Wind hunt down the Decepticons.
The best part about Lockdown (besides his KO figure, his epic design overall, and his ability to kick the chrome plated ass off of Prime and the dinobots), is he's voiced by the oldest Autobot, the eternal glory of JETFIRE!

If you take another look, "Lockdown" has green eyes also which means he has some of that Beast Wars energy & power running through him as well as something else that might contribute to his power and in the fact that he can overpower Prime.

Once he has a family that lived in cybertron and happily. But at the war of cybertron, he and his family no choice to jump around as a refugee. But the fate worse as at refugees being mistake as enemy reinforcements. Lockdown was the only one survivor. His family gone and lose his insanity until he hate the one who cause the wars: autobots and decepticons
Love how in the non canon titan magazine comics there's a story of Lockdown working as a Decepticon with Drift and some dude named Knucklehead. That and how in Rise of the Dark Spark, Lockdown just shows up before AOE and battles Optimus, Bumblebee, Drift and Grimlock. Honestly I blame Michael Bay's whole "no more IDW comics" thing for these weird stories. Because if the writers for the comic and game were given just a little bit of story from the film then maybe those entries could line up more with the films and be semi-canon like the Dark of the Moon console game.

i understand your hot take on lockdown being stronger than prime but i feel like lockdown isnt as strong as him, because he seems to be better at strategic attacks from the shadows and usually he stuns someone from afar then goes to them slowly, but him fighting with prime at the end you can see that little bit of struggle hes having, he holds his own but he got the upper hand because prime got distracted by saving cade, and seeing that bumblebee fight he didnt know how to go against bees unique fighting style and only took him down after after getting a hand on him, but before he was struggling, it's like he doesn't know how to take on many enemies at once as shown how he was trying to get cade but was tripped and didnt win that well against cade
yup i can confirm probally the only villians that took multiple heroes were just sentinel and megatron they were powerfull enough to almost kill prime my favourite main villians lockdown still takes a place
True. I’d agree that both Trans Theories and your point of view are valid. Technically Lockdown had help from the CIA all those 3 times he fought prime but still it doesn’t seem like he had much difficulty even when he didn’t have help in the short time.

I think i do agree with what ur saying about Lockdown vs Prime just not the wording of it, ¨stronger¨ is where i think Optimus wins, but Lockdown is more powerful due to his cunning, tools & intellect, more efficient & effective. You gotta remember when Megatron kills Prime in T2, it's quz Optimus looks out for the humans, here again Lockdown gets the advantage quz Optimus shifts his focus. If Optimus goes ALL out, i think he wins, & can adapt to Lockdown as well. IF it is a fair 1v1 with only themselves and their blades

The Bayverse is not over, this is due to the fact he is still helping make Rise of the Beasts so, I suspect that Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal will come face to face, this is confirmed in beastwars, it shows a part of Optimus Primal meeting Optimus Prime, but... There is a pattern, apparently in beast wars, Megatron was the one that made Cybertron technorganic, and Megatron is here in the present plus he made contact with Quintessa and I assume that he wanted the planet technorganic. At least this pattern makes sense to me
What i ask myself is how TLK showed us, the autobots were on Earth before World War 2, but Transformers 2007 showed us them coming to Earth way after that

I still think Optimus is stronger, Mexico City sounded like an unfair fight, he actually beat lockdown in Texas and was still wounded, also not a fair fight cause he got shot in the back dealing with galvatron, and the final fight he was beating lockdown and let his guard down to save Cade. Just my opinion though

I'm sure Lockdown was notorious for other reasons, and not just hunting the Knights. That might have been his main hustle, but wasn't the only one. And it's very likely everyone knew he was stronger than Optimus and Megatron. Well, Optimus at least. Despite Megatron losing every time, he lost twice because he was weak after his resurrection, and twice because he was outnumbered. So we don't actually know if Lockdown could take Megatron, but he sure as hell is stronger than Optimus.
I think Optimus is still stronger than Lockdown. The first battle had the help of humans, the second battle had him shooting in the back twice from afar, and the third one had Optimus distracted. The battle during the car chase had Optimus winning (technically. He was still keeping up with the chase, so not at full effort), and he was winning before the tide turned in the final battle.
Why do you think Optimus went specifically to Quintessa if Lockdown was working for the other creators? Was Optimus going after them 1 by 1, and Quintessa just happened to be the only one that’s alone?
@@WeweGombelXD It’s not like Lockdown was able to land fatal hits during that fight anyway even if he was planning to kill, unless if he sticks the sword in his head, but that again takes Optimus’s distraction into account. But yeah, I forgot about the factor that Lockdown wasn’t trying to kill.
@@WeweGombelXD Lockdown’s strength seems to just come from his technology. I feel he trapped the dinobots, which isn’t an actual fight. Megatron seems like the strongest, only behind Optimus with flight tech and Dragonstorm.

I like the details, but for me being stronger is different than being skilled or you could be both. Technically we could say that Lockdown could hunt down TF1 Megatron and still says Megatron is stronger. We could say that by basing how many shots did it took for him to knockdown Optimus or even before he made him lock in stasis. He could literally hunt TF1 Megatron in the distance with his precise arsenal, backed up by his popularity to fellow transformers. On the strength hmm personally I think it is a bit messy on bayverse these are my thoughts...
In terms of strength scaling in my opinion:
TF1 Megatron> TF1 Optimus, we could basically see it in the enire movie and their final fight scene. So in this case size really matters since megatron could easily throw optimus at that time
I could back up size matters especially until TF DOTM because in TF ROF...
Megatron has a new form and not on his TF1 mode anymore and because of that TF ROF Optimus could almost have a good fight with him before being killed, Prime almost win but you get what I mean, Megatron nerfed, Optimus almost won...
In that same time The Fallen is much larger than prime or so I presume... and Prime definitely needed an upgrade just to won against Megatron and the Fallen... He killed The Fallen and damaged Megatron so bad...In the DOTM... if size doesnt matter then optimus could easily defeat shockwave with his giant pet, but at that time Optimus needed an upgrade auxiliary to fight against Shockwave and his pet...
Based on these, we could actually say that size affects strength, but having more arsenal, being quick or skilled could with a fight...
Here where I began to mess up... Since Optimus could regenerate, is true then that AOE Optimus is stronger than the first 3 movies normal version of Optimus...
Optimus basically knock down Grimlock who is wayy larger and a legendary warrior, a cybertronian knight. We could still say that Optimus is not stonger than grimlock but the force of Optimus on his strike is enough to knock him down... again having the skill won against strength..
For the final fight at AOE I think Prime was still holding back since he does not want to hurt yeager and based on Optimus feats Only the top guys could easily fight him or defeat him...
I definitely think Lockdown is more ahead on weaponry and assassinations, more skilled on that field but lets not forget Prime is a knight, throughout the bayverse he used many form of weapons and based on some sources he is mastery of it too.. I do not know it is just I hope Lockdown and Prime fight has been a lil bit different you know with their strength and mastery of skills they could brought a different fight scenes. It is jut my opinions though.

Hey @TransTheory I have been asking on several videos what happened to the Allspark shard that was given to revive Megatron from ROTF with and how does he controls it's power during DOTM like in the games and what happened to it after his body was melted by KSI on Age Of Extinction or before that and since we all know from the Fallen himself that the Allspark couldn't be destroyed and can only transform does that mean Megs still has the power of the Allspark Shard and was it the source of his control over the KSI Drones?
Further more I would like you to make a video where you explain on what happened to Optimus Prime's Matrix and does he still have Jetfire's spark fused with him the same sark that has the smaller shard Sam uses in Rotf to remove Jetfire from Stasis?
I think the huge scratch on Lockdown's chest is where his faction insignia was so he tore it off to make himself a mercenary.

My theory is that lockdown is a former cybertronian knight and the reason why everybody knows him is because a knight who was kicked out in some way for some reason would he something a lot of cybertronians would remember and the main reason I think this he is a knight is because he’s the only other transformer besides the knights to have green eyes.

The biggest mystery of all is how Lockdown its almost as big as Optimus Prime being a Lamborghini when Optimus is a super truck.
Wasn't the point that the Cybertronians transforms into the earthlings machines that best fits to their natural size?
Also the exemples that you gave to prove that Lockdown it's stronger than Optimus is easy to reject as were strategical shots that hit Optimus as he was distracted being Lockdown's modus operandi as seen in Rachet's death as he was mortally wounded when he was talking to the cementary wind soldiers.
The same for Optimus that was taken down on a hit in his back when he was fighting Galvatron and was wounded in the chest when he saved Cade.
He was extremely strong though.

Can you please do a What if I survived Sideswipe, Jolt, and Arcee video were Jolt gives his life in AOE to save prime where Arcee survives the entire franchise from ROTF we’re Arcee and Bumblebee would being a great team and having a possible romance in TLK and even helping out Bumblebee in bringing prime back from being Nemesis Prime, with Sideswipe assisting Hound in TLK where Sideswipe would keep the Deceptions at bay for Hound to escape the junkyard where Sideswipe would give up his life fighting the Cons and refusing to give up the location of the talisman.
Also, can you do a bit of What if I survived bit with Arcee and Jolt if they had Starscream still alive where Jolt and Arcee never died.
We know that Optimus is old as hell (Orian Pax was in if the original 13 Primes). My guess would be that Lockdown was probably an early model of transformer, as in before autobot and deception. And when the factions split he left cybotron and started bounty hunting/mercenary. We know he dosent only look for Transformers because we see that he has biological life in his ship as well. And as far as him tracking the primes, I imagine quintessa wanted more then just 1 knight to rise and help turn the tide for Primus v Unicron, as well as all of the biological life on lockdowns ship could have been used to mesh species together
Lockdown picked up Optimus' messages at the end of the first movie and second movies. That's how he learned of Earth.
Optimus practically waived a huge flag across the universe saying I am right here. Remember the to all autobots I send this message to you blah blah. Lockdown couldn't help but detect it.
