- London's defining landmark, Tower Bridge, has witnessed over a hundred years of history from its place on the River Thames. In fact, you could say it had seen it all. Until the dawn of 12 May 2024, when Marco Fürst and Marco Waltenspiel completed a challenge never-before faced in history, jumping from a helicopter at 3,000ft, diving down to 35m above the river, soaring through Tower Bridge and completing a complex manoeuvre, known as a 'flare', to rise up again to 80m, the height required to open up their parachutes, before landing safely.
Red Bull partnered with Canon as the Official Technology Partner to bring the project to life, utilising a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology to capture the flight.
Watch the video to find out which cameras were used to capture this amazing project.

Canon are a really generous company. I've worked with them for years and they are great with showcasing their amazing cameras for which I am a solid user.
Despite the good other brands and the powerful commercials i could not leave Canon, i love Canon and dont see myself changing anytime soon 😊
It's really nice to see Canon marketing themselves that way. I think they've been needing to get behind stuff like this for a while. More of this and I think they will be able to claw back a lot of customers who have jumped ship in recent years.
3:09 R5 on your helmet, big up yourself! Me cycling with a Garmin Virb 360 on my helmet takes a little getting used to, but this. 🔥
This was awesome!
Strong necks only 😂
@@CanonEurope 🤣
@@CanonEurope How does Peter monitor that R5?
dope!
Im a lumix user for years and jumping to canon c70 soon!
Let us know how it goes
Hey hey, can you please integrate gyro data in the R Bodys? I got reminded when i saw the r5C on the helmet. For things like this but also for other shots it would be really helpful.
I love how you’re keeping lenses and camera equipment in Big Yellow Storage Places ! Iconic Studio spaces ! Nice to share the brand love 😂😂
Use Nikon Z9 and Canon R3 mirrorless cameras but this was phenomenal achievement and seeing something similar in Dublin a few weeks ago.
Me personally would have opted for 28-70mm f/2 and 100--300mm f/2.8 over the 24-70 and 70-200mm, but great shots, and video was epic.
5:23 "every C300 and C500 worked prefectly" what about the ptz cams? show them some love. My guess is the elevated downriver shot at 4:51 was a ptz
PTZs are the unsung heroes of this project 😂
why not the c400?
Lol my thought exactly. Undoubtedly it was because the lens is Canon EF, and evidently nothing similar is available for RF and they didn't trust the adapters for something this crucial and fast.
Canon, please make a camera with 500 or even 1000fps under 10.000USD!!
It would be nice, but there's already a few 1000fps cameras under 10k usd with Canon mounts. It's relatively niche, so i can imagine they won't do it when there's a good market. Who knows tho!
