Pal absolutely knew your mom was ill. No question about it. Dogs can smell irregularity in their people. Other people too but I imagine it’s acute with family.

They can smell infection long before we know there is a problem. My white Shepherd knew when I was going into labor. She would not leave my side. She waz right. I had my son the next day.
Yeah. Dogs smell stuff that we can't even imagine. Some dogs can smell cancer. They're still doing studies to see if they can train any dog to do it or if it's just certain dogs.
Please mike get Pal a seatbelt. I was just you and mu dog went flying deer popped out and slammed on breaks natural reaction. To this day I don't have my dog free in the car .
