Summary: - Play the middle - Lob a lot more - Play 50% of your power - Focus on control over power - Don't try and "1 up" your shots - Don't play with winners and mistakes, play solid - Practise specific shots and where you are going to play them to improve consistency Hope this helps!
Great advice Ewan..... I often think "Make them play one more ball... a neutral shot is much better than a spectacular mistake" (Love your choice of bat too ! )
I started doing this, focusing way more on bandejas and lobs rather than smashes or strong shots from the backglass, it's a very different play style but I'm having a lot of fun and improving on my precision
Damn that’s one of you best videos Evan! I always struggle to actually WIN games. I usually play good intermediate padel, but I just try too much complicated shots. This advice are really gold!!
Good video Ewan. Just wanted to know what would you recommend to me, an intermediate 11 year old player who likes to play with a full size racket not a junior, I like to play with power and control, I don't mind any amount to pay. Please let me know
Hey hamza - check out the adidas adipower light 3.1, and the Nox at10 Genius. Both have a great mix of power and control. And both fairly light and easy to use
Not related to the video (good video btw) I have always wondered about this and couldnt find it on google. If the ball bounces twice in the area on the serve, is that a legal serve, or will the opposition get the point?
yeh you are right - the point is that lots of players are not aware of how many mistakes/unforced errors they making by going for crazy shots rather than keeping it simple
@@EverythingPadel40 euros for an hour in the Netherlands, so not much 'practice' alone either. Every shot we do need to be practiced in matches. Which I do. Sometimes when at breakpoint down. Not smart, but you only get so many opportunities to practice a shot :D

@@EverythingPadel LOL anything cheaper maybe 100 to 150
Haha sure - okay check out the Nox equation, and head delta elite. Both in that price range and would be good for a mix of power + control
@@EverythingPadel Thanks

Yeh that’s a legal serve! I sometimes do a drop shot serve and it bounces twice
It’s true but it’s also a fight against instincts when against easier opposition
yeh absolutely mate
a channel for anxious ones
💪🙌💯
thanks
But won't never deciding to one up my best shot hinder my progression? I this mentality is best during a tournament rather than a training session.
yeh you are right - the point is that lots of players are not aware of how many mistakes/unforced errors they making by going for crazy shots rather than keeping it simple
Renting a padel court in Saudi Arabia is 60$ for an hour so trust me i can't play a lot 😂😂
oh wow, thats crazy!!
