  • These are opponents that catch players out a lot in matches - often from tennis backgrounds, they love to come forward fast and take your time away...these are NET RUSHERS!
    It is so easy to get sucked into playing this style, especially if you are not confident slowing the ball down. It takes an understanding of the walls and padel to be able to slow down against these opponents.
    Here we give practical ways to keep the points slow from the server and the returner perspective. The glass is there to help you, so it you use it and control the speed of your shots, you will find it easier to hit lobs and chiquitas!
    This course explains how and when to use Lobs & Chiquitas: thepadelschool.com/courses/lo...

    Hello Sandy. I played with some new friends/players and came to this discussion. One guy said that you are not allowed to hit the ball with your racket at opposite side of the pitch before the ball goes over the net. He said that reaching for the ball to opposite side of the net with your racket is only allowed if the ball has bounced from your side (back glass). I thought you were allowed to reach over the net in any scenario. I was trying to find answer to this on google but couldn't find any. I watch your videos often and understand that you are a trustworthy person with a lot of knowledge and I would be very grateful to hear from you and solve this dilemma. Best regards :)

    Can I put the racket into the opponent's court if the ball rebounds to the opponent's court?

    Hey! I've seen lot of clips where players hit the ball straight to the opponents side of the net, after a smash that comes back from the back glass. Does it not need to hit the ground before the net?

    • @michelraveyts8081

      the point ends when the ball hits the ground twice. In your example if you hit the net first, then your opponent still has time to counter after 1 bounce. You can hit it directly into the net or use their ground first. It doesn't matter because the point will only end when the ball bounces twice after you've hit it

    Hey Sandy ! A bit unrelated, but what are your thoughts on hesacore grips ?

    • @ThePadelSchool
      @ThePadelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      For me personally I don’t use them. I tried but because of the shape/texture I ended up over-squeezing and my elbow didn’t like it.

      @@ThePadelSchool That's curious. My elbow started to hurt as well in my 3rd game with it, but I'm not sure if it's me playing too much padel or the hesacore.
