"Absolutely incredible! I'm amazed by the four amazing finds you've made during your jade hunting adventure. Each piece of jade is unique and carries its own story. It's fascinating to see how nature has created such beautiful and valuable treasures. Your passion for jade hunting is evident, and your excitement with each discovery is contagious. Thank you for taking us along on this thrilling journey and sharing the wonders of jade with us. Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see what other remarkable finds await you in the future!"
Hey Alex, havent seen you around in a while, looking good! Evan, you have a great smile when you pick on Dan....and Mom has one wicked grin, I like a lot! As for 'one rock'....we all knew how THAT was gonna go...! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im pretty sure youre the reason i got into rocks, and now want to be a geologist when i find the time for college. I audibly "oood" and "aahhhed" through this entire video. I can't even describe how excited i got seeing the stones go from the river all the way to cut. Loved it❤
Good morning Dan, nice to see the whole family out and about. 2 things, beautiful jade and I had to take a big sigh, as I've been tuning into your channel since you had less than 2500 subscribers. Watching your boys grow up has been really special.
Awesome you still have time with your boys. My father passed from heart attack when my brother and I were around your boy’s age. Remember growing up I wished I’d learned more from him. Love your channel. Great work!!!
It's great to see the whole family together again! I haven't seen Alex in a video in quite awhile...the beard threw me off! Both boys, well, they aren't boys anymore, have grown into handsome young men!😉🥰
New to the channel Been collecting rocks most of my life learning as I went. Now I am limited in how far I can walk and where I can walk. One reason I love watching your videos, you take me places I can no longer go and just see these places and hearing your passion. Makes my day thank you
I would love to see a palm sized jade rock polished on the outside and not cut into slices. Those were some beautiful finds, nice to see the family out playing in the rocks again. 😊
These jade and jadeite slabs, if free of inclusions and crystal pockets make the most amazing knife sharpening stones once lapped flat and a diamond plate can be used to rough the surface to a desired 'grit'.....they WILL last FOREVER and never 'dish out' as other softer stones will.ancient jasper can also be used.......most people have no idea about using these stones for this purpose, but it really does work even on the hardest and most wear resistant 'exotic' steels. I would love to harvest a small stone from your beach and actually make my own knife sharpening stone from harvest to finished stone. Thanks for such a unique and entertaining channel here, Dan. I wish you well.
Your family is beautiful! My son is only 3 and he and I have a few hundred pounds of rock we have collected… he likes to “rediscover” them around the house and yard.
Love the big saws. We had two SLAB saws that could cut 36" in the vice ! big monsters. One prof had bigger eyes.. We were getting cutting oil by the 22 gallion container. The oil guy suggested we try a water based oil that was new to him. He had grave stone business customers. We tried some in one saw. No problem for days then over the weekend it gelled. Running the saw broke it up. Fright for a while !
Wow! Dan, those rocks were amazing! So colourful. What a productive day out for your family, who are great by the way 😊. I just love all your videos and watch them all with great interest. Thank you for them all. X
QUESTION: At 4:34, in the lower left corner of the screen, is a bright green rock, I see similar throughout the video. Do you know what it is? It such a cool shade of green on my end. Thnx for the great video again, love to see you out with the fam.
This is my kind of day trip right here!! I haven't gone in years but I love rock hunting, when I was younger I used to collect rocks I thought were cool looking and I'd bring them to my science teacher to try and identify them. Back in those days it wasn't uncommon for me to come home with a pocket full of rocks lol. I found some of my coolest rocks while walking the train tracks on the way to and from school.
You all did awesome! So many great rocks! Great to see the family! My family can't count either! I said 2 cats, and we ended up with 10!😂😂 Thanks for sharing!
Curious, at 4:18 what is that light green rock at the left side of the screen? By the way, your sons are really getting big. It's great when the whole family can get involved. Have a great one Dan. From S.W. Oregon.
I so wish we lived close to a river that has such beautiful rocks!! I am such a rock lover. If I see one that has great crystals or just has something that catches my eye I usually take it home for my rock garden 😂.
Just got home from a trip to Port Alberni on the island. Had to get a flight over the highway thats closed to make my flight Friday afternoon... Never made it to the any of the rocky beaches, wanted to try and find my own flower stone. Oh well, might have to get one from your store lol
When you talk about the transition from serpentine to jade, are the rocks you picked still changing? Or, just spit out from the cauldron before they were ‘cooked’ and staying in the same form forever? Regardless, lovely stuff, fantastic colours! Those thin slabs would make an amazing wind chime!
Greetings from the other side of this gem we've FUBAR Thanks for the trip to the river, sons beard is good for his age ( one day ya just wake up an it's there) well i found 🤙🖖

So perfect. I was just on the N. Fork Eel River, California looking for jade. Lots of gorgeous serpentine but only one rock with that PING. We'll see.

Around 4:30, the one towards the left of the screen very light green, is that also jade? I mean i probably would get it cause of the cool color.
While I don't know much about rocks I really enjoy your videos.
You have a lovely family Dan 😊

Great finds! Way to get the whole family involved! Plus that has to be a thousand dollars or better on that tailgate. 40 pieces was right!
Curious, at 4:18 what is that light green rock at the left side of the screen? By the way, your sons are really getting big. It's great when the whole family can get involved. Have a great one Dan. From S.W. Oregon.

Beautiful family! Thanks, Dan! Love the jade!
you're AWESOME Dan.
The translucency is reminiscent of light filtering through a rain forest canopy .
It seems so alive .
Only one rock per person , lol .
Beautiful rocks.
