Great insight Sir! I've tried Wipperman, Regina and few other top brands in the decades of my cycling, but for the last 15 years its been KMC all the way. The customer service from their base in Netherlands is second to no other. I had an issue with my DLS 11 (celeste) which they very kindly prepaid the postage for a like for like and Ive even now fitted the DLS black/yellow on the same bike, it is pure quality. I've had nothing but smooth operating with awesome looks on my KMC EX11 Gold hollow plate chain, it still looks 'bling' after a good clean. My new 2023 Bianchi Oltre Comp is getting the KMC X12 gold solid plate treatment before it starts to clock miles. KMC are in my opinion the best in aftermarket drive train components. Cheers
I can vouch for the quality of genuine kmc. You don't notice any twisting of this chain especially at cross-chain position. No experience of snapping or breaking and even rusting. Make sure that it is made in Taiwan, not China.
ran kmc on my 9 speed shimano setup , the chain lasted a long time with my abuse , putting on moto oil and riding through ash dumps , its the main reason im considering kmc for 12 speed as well other than my mixed brand 12speed setup;
What chain can I get so I can be as lazy as possible on maintenance and still avoid rust? I live in wet and muddy Scotland. I believe my SL is a Sram alloy crank set 12 speed. And my Turbo Levo is Sram 11 speed. Thanks.
What's the best ebike 750w rear hub motor chain for a 7 speed heavy cargo hauler with trailer and why??? Can I order it on Amazon??😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
All bike chains have a 1/2" pitch (distance between pins), but they differ in width, both external width and internal width. As the number of speeds (sprockets) increases, the width of the chain decreases. Usually, you can run a thinner chain without problems, but not the other way around. For example, you can run a 10 or 11 speed chain on a 9 speed driveline, but you can't run a 9 speed chain on a 10 or 11 speed as it is too thick and will bind up in the cassette. 6-7-8 speed are all the same chain size, but after that the chains are different.
I have KMC E9S on my mtb from dechatlon ,and guess what ,this chain dies after 500 km ,and make noises after 350 km ,i drive only to my work on road ,not in forest or somewere else .
That's a low bar. I've ridden with SRAM shifters and derailleurs for about 300k miles with Shimano chains which are most definitely better than SRAM and KMC chains
@@veganpotterthevegan 10,11, or 12 speed? I believe the other manufacturer of Shimano Chains (besides KMC) is Izumi (In Japan) and they are nice but I don't find them to last as long as KMC.

Bs motor oil u get dust all over ur chain haha...
I love kmc chains 😊
They are awesome!
Ive always used KMC on my 8,9,10 speeds. My Shimano 12 speed Im using a Shimano chain but I wonder if the KMC would work well on it.
On my 7th gold SL 11spd chain and will not use anything else, even cross chained runs well for me.
What kind of KMC chain I can replace my 12sp axs sram force chain?

You'd want their EPT Chain!

KMC DLC12 12 Speed Bike Chain compatible with shimano slx drive train?
Yes
Thank you
Can any chain fit any bike or are the chains specific to certain types of cassette etc

I only trust KMC on my ebike.
They make fantastic chains!
Why? better than Sram and Shimano?

Which chain for a ebike
my kmc x9 started rusting
Mine is the same.I might try the EPT range of products.I've heard they have better rust resistance.
YBN chain is good too and it’s cheaper too.
The kmc chain i bought didnt even work with my shimano groupset di2 ultegra
I agree.i learned the hard way . Shimano group set shimano chain.
SRAM groupset sram chain .
KMC > Sram
100%

@@veganpotterthevegan Thank you for your comment. What Shimano chain are you referring to?
@dib sports 105 and up but I normally train on Ultegra chains and race on Dura-Ace. Dura-Ace won't last as long but it's faster

EVERYBODY KNOWS SHIMANO IS THE BEST.
WRONG. Look it up. Can't argue with data. Shimano chains are not even within the top 3. Good luck with Shimano crankset issues.
KMC actually manufacture the chains FOR Shimano… so no
garbage chains
I couldn't disagree more so if you'd care to elaborate, please do.
