Been collecting for all the xboxes for 10 years, it’s been great to see more people realize there are good games on the systems
The nice thing about xbox stuff is a lot of the commons are super cheap right now. I have the most fun collecting for the og xbox and the 360.
So glad I started collecting OG Xbox games about 2-3 years ago they were absolutely dirt cheap and now I've got about 300 games. And then I went and collected most of the exclusives on 360 since I've got a majority of that generation on PS3

You probably should have bought your multiplatform games on the 360, since its well known most games of that generation run and look worse on the PS3 because it was so difficult to make games on.

Omg thank you! Singularity is one of my favourite games on the the 360. The seeker Sniper is one of the most fun weapons in any game and the multiple endings kept me playing for 3 play throughs. This game doesn't get enough praise. Funnily enough I also loved Blinx as a kid I own both of them games now... I'm starting to think me and you had a similar taste in games growing up Matty.
I’ve been picking up xbox 360 games lately. I was busy building my business during the majority of the 360 and ps3 era, and never played any of the games released for those consoles, outside a couple of crossover titles for ps4. I’ve been having a really good time for mostly $2-10 a game
Quantum Break is probably my favorite game that was Exclusive to the Xbox.

Pick up “Jade Empire” “Grabbed by the Ghoulies” and “Fusion Frenzy”
2 out of three of those are on Game Pass.

With the way you talked about Ryse. I would like to possibly recommend Shadow of Rome by Capcom on the ps2. It was kind of difficult from what I remember but the colosseum battles were pretty incredible for it's time. They were working on a sequel but it somehow turned into Dead Rising instead. That should give you a little bit of an idea what to expect in the colosseum though.

Blinx has one fantastic soundtrack! I've picked up Mercenaries Playground of Destruction and it's just as addicting as I remember.
I have been focusing on the backwards compatible games from OG Xbox and 360, both physical and digital. I want to be sure that I have multiple devices to play them on. Just purchased Timesplitters digitally in this week's sale.
I've been focusing on the original Xbox for a while now. I'm at 72% for the original Xbox black label. I have a lot of the expensive ones to get yet but it's still fun to grab a lot of the other stuff for cheap. I've been grabbing 360 games as well. Like you said, most everything is cheap and easy to find. I believe I'm at 54% for the 360. Lots of underrated games on both systems. Grab them now before everything shoots up in price.

Dude I need to thank you, I have been trying to find that Otogi game for years ever since I played it on an xbox demo as a kid and could never remember what it was. I just remembered how amazing the combat was and the fact that you could destroy houses which blew my mind at the time. And for it to be developed by the people who have made some of my favorite games this whole time as well just wow haha. Cheers Matty you have a new subscriber.
Timeshift's multiplayer was GOATED back in the day.
Ever since I played it I thought it would be the beginning of a whole new multi-player boom with the way they had time shifting bubbles that you used like grenadess. Sadly no one ran with it and it died with the game. 😢
Voodoo Vince and Blinx were some of my favorites on the Xbox. Those along with Crimson Skies and SSX built my childhood
It's so annoying that Microsoft didn't continue the Crimson Skies series. Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge was one of the best games on the OG Xbox.
Finally at a life stage where I could really start building my game collection and focused mostly on 360 and OG Xbox with a few ps4/xbone thrown in. OG Xbox is up there with Dreamcast as one of the most underrated consoles of all time imo. So many great unique games that nobody has ever heard of.
360 games are about to start getting expensive as soon as the 360 store goes down. Some are already about $100
Is it really gonna raise the prices on physical ones though cause I thought the same was gonna happen with Wii U after the eshop closure and the physical Wii U games are not that much higher now

I'm happy that I been collecting OG xbox (well games in general) for a few years now. Especially with Insignia bringing OG xbox live back to life. Playing those old xbox games online have been pretty fun!

Tork: Prehistoric Punk is one of those OG XBOX games like Blinx that I think deserved a more fair shake. Love the character designs so much.

Midnight Suns was really good and imo underrated. I spent a good amount of time with that game.
Lost Odyssey is one of my favorite JRPG’s. I wish I could play it mobile; Switch or release on PC so I can play it on ROG Ally.

Great call with Singularity and Timeshift, I'd have to say you missed Fracture too, classed as a clone but is so good so hard.
Two Xbox games that aren't mentioned in this video that are really worth checking out are Phantom Crash (which is an Xbox exclusive, even though it's not marked as one, the sequel, S.L.A.I. is a PS2 exclusive) and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. Crimson Skies is one of the best Xbox games in my oppinion.

Not exactly critical successes, but I recently hauled in SSX (2012). Shaun White's Snowboarding, and Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel. I have great memories of these.

After watching this, I wish I had more Xbox 360 physical cases. 😅 Most of the newer 360 pick ups, I only got the discs for them and I have them in a CD Case (the kind that holds a lot of cds, wanted to clarify). So far, I'm loving the process of building the collection and I hope that more games will be added to the Xbox backwards compatibility program, especially now after the Activision acquisition.

Just got a complete boxset of KOTOR 2 for OG Xbox. was dirt cheap price wise.
Sunset Overdrive remains my favorite XB1 exclusive by a wide margin. Thankfully it got a Steam port in recent years.

Sunset Drive, along with Agents of Mayhem, are absolute hidden gems. They are also very cheap to buy physically.

i finally got my hands on a 360 for the first time in my life just last summer after ALWAYS wanting one as a kid but never being able to get one (or a PS3) because i was too poor (i eventually finally got on the PS3 train in 2016, and the PS4 train in 2017, but never got a 360 til last year. also this 360 is the very first Xbox console ive ever owned funnily enough).
im excited to collect for it because it's in that sweet spot of being just old enough that i have nostalgia for the memories i shared with my friends playing on THEIR 360s back in the day, while still being new enough that the ULTR nostalgic demand hasn't really sunk in yet so the games are still cheap.
id say we've got another good 4 years before 360 games start creeping up in price like we've been seeing happen with PS2 stuff lately. so get as many as you can while they're still cheap, before the nostalgic demand kicks in and the games start rocketing up in price. currently we're in the nostalgic era for the 6th gen, so it's only a matter of time (again, i estimate 4 years) before 7th gen stuff starts getting UBER expensive due to the nostalgia.
I love RPG’s and I’d somehow never heard of lost odyssey before this video but I got intrigued by it! Found it for a good deal on Mercari and decided to purchase it. Looking forward to playing it when it comes in!

Marvel Midnight Suns is a game that I really enjoyed, I really hope we get a sequel and I'm excited to see what the sequel will improve on over the predecessor. 🤔 Now that leaves me with a question, if there was something you would improve on the game, what would it be? 👀

It's a great console to collect for (at the moment) the games that were on all consoles are cheaper and they run best. I pick them up wherever I find them. Backwards compatibility is cool but it's very limited and there's just something special about using original hardware on a crt tv
To keep my collecting more organized I try and collect exclusives for the OG Xbox and 360. Everything else goes to ps2 and ps3
Though I had a couple friends who had Xbox, I didn't pay much attention. I had no idea how good the graphics were, wow!

Blinx 2 was my favorite game as a kid. It gets a lot of backlash for being different from Blinx 1 and it’s much easier.

Lost Odyssey is my jam. Such a shame MS removed the download from the servers. Lost Odyssey held me over as one of the first games I played. It is fantastic and the first time through this game is heart-wrenching. A true classic!
Time shift was a absolutely fantastic. I've held on to there rare experiences over the years as I felt they would age well.
I love this video. People have been sleeping on the Original xbox for a long time, they system is amazing and it's easy to collect for, a lot of the games are cheap and easy to obtain unlike other system's (gamecube)
I just bought a modded xbox and added all of my roms. Saved quite a bit because web of shadows and shattered dimensions is pricey.

Timeshift is amazing
I just picked up Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai Another Road for the PSP. I never knew they made Budokai games for the PSP and this one follows Future Trunks.
I’m doing the same for OG and 360. I’m not too bothered about the one and series x games though because most of the games aren’t as good and the disk is just a key anyway. But man I love the two old systems and the games for the most part are still cheap.
No hate here Retro Rebound! I loved the entire FF13 series I beat the first and second one already though I am struggling with the 3rd one but I get better every time I sit down and play it and I get further each time. I am close to saving Snow before I am forced into the First NG+ run I already saved Noel so two of the big 7 are saved. My next run will be focused on saving Vanille and Fang. I do have trouble trying to get all 13 days stored up so far the amount of days I managed to get up to 7 days
