Uhm I'm scared if you uninstall it you might be left without display. Are you sure you have an AMD graphics card?

You don't have to, but I would do it because Windows updates might have installed an older graphics driver, so it's best to factory reset the driver in my opinion.
When i open the program it says "this app cannot run on your pc" and i tried comparability and admin mode.
make sure you have installed all windows uopdates

Hey, thanks for the guide. I would like to do a factory reset but after installing, it directly shows me the Chips-Software-Installationsprogrammer. I dont see the AMD Software Installer. Any ideas on how I can get to that window? Appreciate any help

My graphic card is radeon hd 5500 series and when i try to download that adrenalin thing it says me "Error 182 - AMD Software installation detected unsupported AMD graphics hardware in your system configuration."

It depends on your hardware, if you have an hdd it might take longer than on an SSD for example.

It should be using the Microsoft Basic Display adapter driver, you shouldn't have a black screen.

after doing this the software never installed but the amd privacy view did for sone reason and when i right click on the home page it shows that the software is a option but it never opens and when i go to my task bar to search for it i only see amd bug report tools and the installer
Could you try and reinstall the Automatic Detection Utility again? Which Operating system are you using and is it a laptop or desktop?

Hii please help! Whenever I try to click install it always shows error 176 (AMD installer cannot continue due to insuddicient sick space) despite me moving it to drivers with at least 300 GBS. What do I do?

I got amd radeon and in the settings (right mouse click) there’s no update options. I can’t figure out why. As for all this, do I need to download it instead? It’s very different from what I find on my laptop…
Strange... If you know what your graphics card model is, just try and download the driver from their website manually.

@@memstechtipsokay, I managed to find all this. But, the install was initially greyed out, and I just hit skip… then it gave me the download options, but only thing was the chip driver that popped up. . . Is this okay?
I should point out the first attempt was my grandparents laptop. Haha long story. But I didn’t figure it out. The second was my old tower that’s basically factory default … I used administrative profiles each time.
I can install the drivers no problem, but the problem for me is that every single day that I turn my PC on, the PC will hang give a black screen and then monitor will start again showing what was on my PC before the screen went off. It does this about two to three times and sometimes after a third time monitor will not come back on. Are AMD releasing new drivers?
It says in Adrenalin that the last driver update was version 24.3.1 which was back in 20/02/2024 when I check.

Are you sure that your graphics card is still good? Might be a hardware issue.
@@memstechtips Thank you for replying. I bought a new graphics card about 2 months ago and the same thing still happens. I can tell you what I changed about my PC to get a better picture.
I was looking for better processor for gaming so I just bought an intel processor that had double the cores, but when I attached it, it was not compatible with the motherboard and the LED came on on the motherboard to let me know so I bought a new mother board. Everything worked fine, was still using the old graphics card for ages.
I then got a higher refresh 165Hz monitor and things were fine, but ever since the last driver update my PC does the black screen thing on start-up as I described in my last comment. The only other information I can add is that I have not did not do the firmware thing for the monitor since buying it, in case I brick the monitor.
I installed the file and when I open it everything going normal but I can’t click on install button

bro what the hell when i try it doesnt show me the skip option the "ollow amd or "dont allow amd" circle options it just shows my grahpics card AMD Radeond R5 430 (legacy) and doesnt reccomend any drivers just says get drivers with a link to the drivers and support page but theres no driver named AMD Radeon R5 430 only AMD Radeon R5 m430 i cant install the software without the driver cause its greyed out

Hey bro if i have a vega 8 drivers already installed and i want to download drivers for rx 6400 so should i have to choose the factory reset option ?
My Installation just doesn‘t move on from 1:15 on. I tried the AMD cleanup Tool, i tried DDU in Safe Mode, in normal Mode, with restart, without restart… nothing works. The graphics Card also doesn‘t Show up in device or task Manager. Just switched from NVIDIA to RX6800 and can‘t get it going it seems. Did a DDU before too. Please help😅
It Finally Worked. Doing a DDU in Safe Mode and klicking all Boxen in AMD and NVIDIA did it for me i think. Still Tool Quote a few minutes to recognise the Card but hey. Wont complain if it works in the end

For now I don't have a solution, I don't know why it happens. What you could try is closing the AMD Software application and then Right Click on the shortcut and click on Run as Administrator. It might fix the issue.

No benefits, it's just another way to do it.
I got a question, I've already got the chipset installed but I wanna install the adrenaline version, how is this possible without messing up my computer to think I got 2 GPUs rather than 1? Previously I've done this and...let's just say my first go around with the adrenaline version didn't match my second go at it (after resetting my PC), and it took another reset to properly install the adrenaline version...even if this may sound dumb, I'd still would love an explanation for this upgrade, thanks! 👍
Hey! There are many options missing after downloading the adrenaline version like the display audio and video one that showed earlier it has completely vanished and I'm worried , Idk how to restore em would be grateful if you help me out 🤝🏻

That doesn't make sense, you can't install an AMD driver on a Nvidia Graphics card, it shouldn't be possible. I have another video for Nvidia on my channel.

Idk guys how but for me it keeps going no display before instalation can finish then i need to restore windows to before the driver update i'm running out of ideas....
There might be something wrong with your graphics card if the installation doesn't complete.
@@memstechtips i figured it out, i connected the card with hdmi cable and it worked perfectly fine before the driver, then after driver was installed it decided it cant work with this hdmi cable i have no fucking clue why but even now it doesnt work with that cable, if i want to use it i would have to uninstall the drivers idk who can solve this mistery

Have you tried just leaving the computer for a while to see if it moves past it and installs the drivers? If it doesn't work you might need to try downloading the drivers from the AMD website manually and not use the Auto Detection utility.
@@memstechtips I downloaded both manually and automatically and each time I have the same problem, that is, when I turn off the computer, the system shuts down, but the computer itself does not turn off, i.e., the fans do not turn off.

FYI, I was stuck like you for 3 days. After doing all this, downclocking my RAM, it was simply my LG Ultragear monitor being in VRR and HDMI 2.1 setting. I turned it down to HDMI 1.4 and VRR off during AMD Radeon install driver and it worked first time after the 100+ times I tried before. Hope this helps one of you from a nervous breakdown.

Are you sure that your monitor is connected to your AMD GPU and also are you sure the drivers are finished installing completely? Because it might turn black for quite a while before it comes back.

It's a pleasure! It shouldn't do any damage, but do you have 2 dedicated graphics cards in your pc? Or do you have AMD graphics on your CPU and a dedicated Nvidia GPU? If yes, don't worry about the AMD driver.
